Battlegrounds and Latency Issues [merged]

I updated the game. The battlegrounds don t work well, there are connection issue and the symbol of the connection error doesnt go away.

@NearJr I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and IPad 11 Pro and it’s still an issue plus I have gigabit internet service and it’s still an issue.

The game has been a mess for a while now and they are doing nothing they still haven’t even fixed smaller issues like the game being able to go into portrait mode which has been around for a while now.

Oh im not saying its an absolute, perfect solve. There are a lot of variables to consider. I have been one of the lucky few that have never struggled that much, even back when inputs got broken completely in 2020 i think.

Currently i hardly have issues, in the past week i have been disconnected once in BGs, that's it. It would be foolish to base my hypothesis based only on my experience, i know there are some issues.

We need patience and trust Kabam to have a solution for the majority of the player base.

@NearJr Most don’t have patience anymore because it’s been so long we have had so many issues and it’s not getting better it’s getting worse. This is the game all around not just BGs. They need do something because what they are currently doing and have been doing is just not enough.

People are spending time and money on this game and we deserve better. If some choose except this from Kabam great but most people are really upset and they should be.

I don't agree with that. The hotfix they did this week helped a lot.

The game might not be bug free but it's not unplayable, far from it.

@NearJr How would you know it helped if you said you haven’t had any issues and only 1 disconnect? That makes no sense because it didn’t fix it and this thread wouldn’t still be going if it did.

I talk to people constantly. I'm in about 8 difrerent alliance line chats, from gold alliances to masters ones. The people I talk to all claim their experience has been better lately.

"Handful", the discussion in line is pretty heated. Considering all chats there's about 300 people talking about the same issue. 300 is a pretty sizeable sample.

@Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit . There is going to be a good compensation package heading are way, due to all the lagging, locked screen and game freezing? Cause it is not just battle group! It is all over the game. Costing potions, healing and massive time. Y'all even acknowledged it just in battle grounds. Have done tickets to report and just get generic reply. This is the worse I have witnessed in the game. I usually just play thru this time taking me extra long time to just finsh a path. Have to restart game over and over. Wait for screen to unfreeze etc etc.

I must be playing a different game, because none of that is happening to me. Maybe some missed parries, but even some of those are prolly my fault.

Currently It's working fine.
Compensation is for the weekends, when 69 threads showed up on front page, and most of them got deleted.

Yeah, few people just exaggerate or may have device issues, but it's not an exaggeration when thread after thread mentions exact same issue.

You have been here long to know Kabam doesn't like to compensate these days. The 'latency' is word used by them, cuz they found the issue, hence compensation was mentioned.

BGs were unplayable. And that is a fact.
Resources and time was wasted.

I hate to be *that* guy, but as the game evolves, it will demand a lot more from your phone. Older phones will have more issues, my iphone 12 tends to lag more than my samsung s22.

Gues my iPhone 14 pro max needs upgrading already 😂

Just wondering, how is Battlegrounds running now? I took a break for the last couple seasons as I wasn’t playing the game in general much, but since I’m playing more again I was looking at getting back into it. I’m just being a little cautious as I don’t want to risk wasting time and resources if the issues are still persisting.

Ig we don't play the same game
Btw BGs have been a little better for me
Still that infamous icon is coming and sometimes my champions are being auto selected
But mostly it isn't as rough as it was before
But now another thing is happening quite often
My game starts updating when I enter the BG fights(has happened almost every time for the past 10 matches)
Hopefully it's just the bugfixes loading themselves in the game and not a new bug

Hey All,

Checking in on this today, how is your connectivity and latency looking? I did 6 matches and ran a few last paths of the Vaults between last night and this morning without issue, but don't want to call that indicative of everybody's experiences.

To address the elephant in the room, yes we are looking for Compensation for the Latency issues, geared toward Battlegrounds since match results could be affected by the latency issues.

With all your respect @Kabam Miike , it’s more then just a few wrong matches. As suggested by the warning, I put BG to rest until a fix is confirmed.

I made it to Gladiator circuit every seasons but one. Not going to happen this time as the game mode is unplayable. So when you are thinking compensation, that is the real compensation you should take into account.

This season BG I will loose the progression to Gladiators circuit and the rewards at the end of the seasons.

If the compensation doesn’t that into account then it will be a big fail on Kabam’s part

constantly seeing connection issues, spinning wheel, red wifi icon. Was leveling up some champs to get points in the Level Up event and it was very painful.....

Yes again my fight to get Diamond 1 didn't work so I lost, now I need to do everything again. Please we need some serious compensations cause I feel I don't have the energy to reach GC with all these problems going on, it's too much frustration

Didn't Miike mentioned about BG compensation few weeks back somewhere ? Not sure if that was on this post or somewhere else but he defo mentioned about the compensation.
