Okay, so if you want to make AW more challenging (more appropriately borderline unplayable), how about you drastically increase AW rewards.......
How are u gonna dial AW difficulty to freaking 11 and leave the rewards in the poor state they are in?
Honestly....I don't think I've ever seen such a lack of forward/ critical thinking.
You want a fix for this broken tactic here it is:
Change the passive taunt to trigger on both knockdowns and intercepts (then if they have a special u can at least bait a heavy and get taunt up rather than trying to land an intercept while they have a special ready).
Cap the dauntless passives that increase special damage at 4 and have intercepting or knocking them down remove 1.
Make the passive taunt last 2 or 3 seconds longer and increase the special attack damage reduction from it
I chatted with the game team, who were aware of this issue and worked to resolve it. After chatting with them we have the following conclusion.
Early in the offseason, there was a bug that was causing a difficult combination of nodes to be even more difficult as a result of root not being removed at the end of defenders attacks. A fix for that bug went out this morning.
Beyond that, the team is happy with the current state of nodes, which were expressly designed to slightly increase the difficultly level of war.
The game is supposed to be fun to play. That’s your main job Kabam. That’s what keeps people logging in. No one wants to play a game that isn’t fun. And no one is having fun with this new AW tactic. Do your job Kabam and make it fun.
Challenging is what we want, but this tactic goes too far. You’re forcing unavoidable damage to players unless they are multi hit while rooted special attack ninja dexers. And 99% of players aren’t.
As i said in another post, me and the other officials in my alliance already enter in a consensus about spending just 40% revives and not a single potion or amp, the rewards are not worth the trouble The amount of loyalty spent would be too insane
@Kabam Miike off season is over and my alliance didn’t get a single chance to test the new AW tactics because everyone we faced didn’t place the boss. You guys made a good change so when boss is down the tactic still stays on tactic defenders so why when alliances don’t place a boss the tactic is removed from all tactic defenders? It’s gonna be hard to face the new tactic with the higher difficulty without getting a single chance to test it.

It's true. This is a separate issue but it did happen to us as well. Some alliances decided not to place the boss to gain an unfair advantage against their opponents. Some alliances got to practice, some others didn't get to. Not to mention the main issue at hand being the fact that the globals are flawed by design
Someone pls point out one thing that is interesting or challenging or enjoyable about this tactic. Or even one thing that requires skill. All these years we learned to perfectly evade specials, now what’s the point in just standing there and face blocking them?!
Taunt is not a reliable debuff and a game mechanic, it doesn’t work half the time and doesn’t make the opponent more aggressive. It just messes with the AI and that is already acting weird and trying to intercept can just cost you health. And 10 seconds is just too short and on some nodes you don’t have that much room if there’s extra powergain to have the defender throw a special while that short taunt is on them. None of this requires skill.
My only guess on what was behind designing this tactic is: Last two seasons death count was very low, so let’s design something that could result in many deaths. Which is ok if it was something interesting challenging or skill-intensive And it’s none of that
I seriously would love to hear one interesting thing about this design!

BTW thanks for posting this issue, I wish we could get a better response
Another ugly win, not sure what's the point of these tactics, more and more players agreed to only use 40% revives, this makes a lot of senses to me, nobody wants to spend 2 odins on potions per season.
The new global node of alliance wars makes the difficulty of wars too exaggerated. Some paths are impossible to do. Recalibrate the global node and the tactic
i never had any problem with previous globals because they were balanced. even this one could be potentially balanced if they rework it a little bit. like REMOVING the extra damage from the specials. it will be already better..or make another way to remove the dautend as mentioned before from others by a heavy attack as well. this global has a lot to take care but you got nothing to protect yourself with. ok u can parry the unbloccable but yet they have 30/60%+ damage so you will eventually dieafter 2/3 specials. i like the idea of this global but it is executed very badly. kabam fix it. the idea is there but need to be fixed a little bit.
I’m nowhere near the war tiers where this matters but from and outside perspective, if this is really performing the way the game team wants it too, I think they should have communicated ahead of the season that this season will likely result in way more deaths. Seeing deaths in the several hundreds range seems like a major shift and some forewarning that it was expected and intended would have gone a long way.
A lot of things do get communicated well but it seems like war related things don’t lately. We got very few answers when the new war system was rolled out and now this. Might be an area for the team to look at in terms of the communication process.
This season is nonsense. Increase challenge is ok but this isn't a slight increase. It is uncontrollable nonsense on certain nodes. Didn't have my recorder on but photon on the Conflictor and prowess boss island node, I messed up and did a combo when lock on ended. That gave her 2 prowess that combo pushed her to sp2 giving her 2 of the tatic ****. Full health r3 7* falcon dead with blocking that sp.
I did have a recorder running for hulkling vs iabom (lucky i guess his sp isn't as stong as photon) on rooted and power gain to sp2 node. Not sure how I could have played more cleanly to just die. Unsure what the intention was for this season, but I love aw pride myself on low if no deaths and normally take 2 on boss island and boss for my allaince on top of a mini and lane. This nonsense tatic makes me say nuts to aw and thinking about going to a no aw allaince.
There’s no point in forums. Actual concerns from players are clearly ignored and critical posts are removed quicker than Quicksilver playing with himself. This defence tactic is beyond stupid, made even worse by an attack tactic that does almost nothing to counter it. It’s amazing how we can continually be surprised by Kabam not giving even half a thought to what the players might think about something before introducing it.
Just completed the last off-season war, look at these death numbers, how wonderful they are!
As Kabam said "The community is not always right, Kabam is not always wrong", let's use 1 loyalty revives and enjoy "slightly difficult" tactics for two seasons.
@Kabam Miike is it possible to actually look into the war situation, instead of looking the other way? I understand the game team designed these tactics with the idea of increasing aw difficulty so that the number of deaths can go up and I understand this is good for the game mode. Because frankly it's very stressful when you concede an attack bonus and know being 0-1 might mean you already lost the war. From my perspective, more deaths is a welcome change. But at the same time I understand the game team took the wrong route to achieve this result. Designing a defense tactic that basically can't be countered kills the entire purpose of the game mode. There's no planning no strategy no boosts no counters... Nothing. Some defender placements have no answer and so you just have to die repeatedly until you clear or item out. This is completely unbalanced. I don't wish to plan nor play aw in these current circumstances. And my alliance doesn't wanna give up the season so I'm forced to either part ways with my friends or endure it. This is possibly going to be my last season of aw because I don't wanna leave and put them in trouble at this point and there's also banquet event starting. But this situation is making me hate aw. And the game in general is less interesting to me when competitive aw is out of the picture. This node is ruining the fun and the challenge. There is no challenge. It's like the carina challenge with the 3star cyclops vs act 5 collector. There is no skill, no challenge. It's basically just item usage until you either finish the fight or item out.

Fix it.
It’s makes the next season very easy for me, as my alliance is now doing an only 40% revive item use.
Thank you :-) easy season and no stress over Christmas, if anything make it harder!
Another 300+ deaths war, because the tactic is "slightly" difficult
The amount of loyalty spent would be too insane
Even if we wanted to keep "pushing", I'm pretty sure half the alliance would rather quit than waste resources trying to deal with the tactic.

The current war, I bet it's not going to end gracefully
My alliance decided we’re not taking this season seriously. 1 Loyalty revives all the way.
Apparently many high tier allies will be doing the same.
This season will probably have the most deaths ever, and lowest item usage ever.
