How do you feel about Bullseye?

Hey community,

After talking to some peeps, I've been seeing varying responses to Bullseye's kit. In your opinion, do you think he should get a nerf, a tune up or remain the way he is?

I think Bullseye is great but it's b.s how easily he can combo you into oblivion. Not to mention his AI knows what you're trying to do so he's constantly back drafting.

I think Seatin perfectly described him by comparing him to a more punishing version of Mysterio but much more annoying.

I would so he just needs a slight tune up to balance him out

He's fine on defense on offense he does need tune up but scary part is if he gets tuned up he will be even scarier on defense it's a double edged sword

To be honest on offense bullseye is pretty balanced because his utility is insane. counters miss, auto block, evade, and also has a niche evade mechanic just in case u mess up. the damage is decent but the fury passive just needs increased duration or someway to pause it. that would totally balance him out, not broken on defense and valuable on offense

Offensively he could use a buff, the damage is fairly low most of the time unless you go for the evade/SP2, but even then his fury goes away almost as soon and the SP2 is done.

@Axew @AcidBurn404 if Kindred didn’t get a offensive buff, I don’t think Bullseye will, these two were made to be defenders

Tbh he’s got plenty of counters: Iceman, Warlock, Storm, Storm X, Kitty, Colossus, Nick Fury, Bishop, Werewolf, White Mags, Mags, Valk, Lady D, Weapon X, pretty much anyone who is bleed immune, he’s vulnerable to energy attacks so anyone who does that, power control champs to prevent him from getting to use specials at all… on and on

As someone who loves Bullseye as a character (favorite comic villain hands down), I loved his release. Got him as a 6* and took him straight to r4 and sig 200d him immediately…and plan to r5 and ascend him next. My I tial reaction was to vote for tuning his gameplay to improve his offense. However, realistically I think it’s a good balance as it is. His defense is stupid and his offensive ability isn’t really that bad.

I think killer instinct should immediately go away after he throws a special, atm it's a little overkill on defense imo. The only reason we don't see people complaining about it yet is because EQ Bullseye was a piece of cake with any mutant pretty much but he's definitely going to be a nightmare to fight in BGs (worse than Photon or Onslaught) if they leave him like this.
As for offense, no idea cause I haven't used him, don't have him.

I dunno about going away immediately, but Killer Instinct lasting 3 seconds after baiting Bullseye SP1 is a smidge too long.

Fights take a really long time, even at base. Do two 5 hit combos and pushing Bullseye over a bar, then wasting 10 seconds trying to bait Bullseye' SP1, then dashing back for 3 seconds, then doing another 5 hit combo so now you both have a bar of power, then wasting 5 seconds baiting Bullseye SP1, then another 3 seconds for killer instinct to cooldown, and then finally using your SP1, and then repeating everything. That's potentially 21 seconds right there of time wasted not doing any damage while you reach your SP1 (and potentially receiving unavoidable damage simply by dexterity).

If you add on nodes that enhance his power gain, or powershield type nodes, then the fights take a really long time. Bringing a non-slow evade counter is basically the only way to ensure you don't have to experience a prolonged fight.

I think the bleed on block and dexterity is a little much. If he had one or the other it might be ok, but if you don’t have a bleed immune champ (like a really bad draft in BG) you’re just taking a bunch of unnecessary damage trying to bait his special.

Yeah it's a very slow fight if you don't bring evade counter. The problem is the only evade counter who's also bleed immune as far as I know is Iceman and he's very slow too.
I don't know what they could do, I just know something needs to be tuned down cause unavoidable damage + evade that can only be countered by waiting it out is just overkill I don't even know how it made it to the actual game like this. Sure EQ piece of cake but in a BGs scenario it's either gonna be 40% health lost or two minute fight and that's just not fair like what can you really do there, "oh well I guess I'll just lose". Sure Maestro is like that too but unlike Bullseye he already has a good amount of strong counters.

I wouldn’t mind having a champ of this capability in the game but why did they choose a champ whose main weapon is throwing cards to waste this op gameplay on? He should be Ironfist level. He packs a bigger bleed hit than Hawkeye, it’s just silly.

Bullseye is everything wrong with the game presently. A boring attacker (that primarily appeals to his own fanbase outside the game) and defensive kit that is extremely punishing, even if you play perfectly with most champs.

I used to look forward to new champ releases, but now it's a tedious experience having to alter my BG roster to add in one more niche (and oftentimes bad) attacker for the sole purpose of countering a single OP defender in the game that will kya if you pick any less than perfect counter.

At least with Maestro, it made sense (being a trophy champ) that required a unique playstyle to counter him, which many have - relying on specials/nullify. With Bullseye it's just a boring time. Another champion to force bait specials. yay

I think only fair comparison is with photon. He is meant to be the new photon in a sense, defensive machine good utility serviceable damage. I don't think he is as good as photon on offense in terms of damage, that being said I think he is more counter-reliant on defense than her. in my opinion his defensive prowess is fine as is but he can use a small offensive tune up on the spe bleed vulnerability or dialed in cruelty buff. Those changes shouldn't effect his defensive potential at all

There are also unconventional counters most notably onslaught and other passive stunners. They allow you to attack him while instinct is up. Although I will say, he is very counter-reliant unlike photon who can be dealt with using gameplay elements. Although chip damage is pretty much unavoidable for both unfortunately

Plus... We already got Gambit throwing cards... Stealing his shtick!
