Issues with Valient only rewards

Hi Kabam (and anyone else that is reading),

I recently took my first path of necropolis. I used Aegon and 2600 units. I had an amazing experience with this long-form content. This was especially exciting because I didn't play the game when the last Everest content (abyss) came out. My rewards were great and I got a mutant 2-3 and plan on doing domino. I was and still am planning to become valiant by exploring 8.4.

However, after today's livestream, I have become increasingly worried about not being valiant. While watching the kabam livestream there was a heavy focus on objectives for the summer of pain 2.0 as valient objectives. I don't think this is very considerate to the playerbase, considering the fact that the only way to become valiant while still f2p is to explore necropolis, which take more units then most people have. I really do appriciate the time and effort Kevin and the team put into this new content, but I think it would make more sense to realease 8.4 and allow more players to become valiant.

    I’m glad Valiants get more rewards. That should be expected.

    I am disappointed the only way for current Paragon players to get there is to explore Necropolis with 1 weeks notice. Even if revive farming was an option that wouldn’t be doable for me. It would have been nice to have this start after 8.4 or have some other path to get Valiant or at least more notice that Valiant will be getting some significant extra rewards in February, prior to 8.4 so if you can do Necropolis exploration it will be worth it.

    I guess this is a delayed benefit for everyone that got Valiant ASAP but ends up being a bit of a punishment for everyone that was waiting for 8.4 exploration to get the title.

    I do think this was at least hinted at in the last live stream. I know it’s not like formal notice or anything like that, but it was mentioned and it tracks with the original Summer of Pain event.

    Yea the daily card was more my speed, but this doesn’t seem that appealing. More future proofing yourself with T4A

    Yeah, 10% really doesn't seem that enticing to me at this point since I'm so far away from 3 t4a. If the 5k shards got me a 7 star i might've picked it up

    T4a isn't appealing to me when you need 5 t6cc anyways to r3 a 7*

    Just as a general point, for those of you who are trying to push for Valiant (or TB) before new EOP drops, Jax mentioned on the stream that there should be one extra point, and each champion has only one Valiant objective, so you technically have an extra two weeks to push for Valiant before you would start losing rewards.

    Now, I am all for Valiant players to start getting unique rewards, they've earned it. It is a bit of a bummer for those of us who can explore Necropolis but didn't have the luxury of 10k extra units to bludgeon our way through early on, since we didn't have incentive early on for exploration beyond the daily crystal or just bragging rights. I'm about to start my 4th trip through Necro tomorrow (?), but I might have focused even more on exploration quicker if there had been any notice of Valiant exclusive content coming so soon. Honestly, the rewards aren't game-changing to someone at that level, but this would have been an easy little carrot that Kabam could have mentioned in response to the 2 million "Valiant isn't even worth it" complaints I've read over the last month. It also would have been a nice heads up to players who are trying to go through at a more leisurly pace.

    Haven’t bought any valiant deals. I did get all the quest potions though! Finish up that last bit of necro.

    Considering the only way to finish Necropolis was revive farming (which everyone did to explore it) and then they nerfed it and now offer valiant only rewards. OP point is a valid point.

    Do you have an estimate on how many units you spent on it total? I don’t think it’s doable for me but I’m curious how many I’d need.

    That just depends on the average player who goes through the EQ and buys bundles and also has units saved up to do so. Not everyone enjoys grinding arenas and people most likely saved up for banquet.

    Do you have an estimate on how many units you spent on it total? I don’t think it’s doable for me but I’m curious how many I’d need.
    I think I bought 3 or 4 EQ bundles, so it was only 3-4k units. With the current potion bundle for 500 units, you can get more revives than I did. The team revives were mostly used just on the GM and a few other fights like storm X.

    I should note I also had a really large stash of various revives including romance revives I got in 2022 🤣

    So you want the top title, but you don’t want to farm revives over 2 months (mid November to mid January) and you don’t want to grind arenas?

    Didn't say me. I'm just posting counter arguments, it's easy to join the general consensus on the forums.

    1. doesn't mean everyone knew about revive farming

    But that’s essentially what you’re saying. The top title shouldn’t just be handed out. It needs to be earned. And rewards for the title, since it’s elite, should be given to those who have attained it. Otherwise, what is the point in titles?
