Mixed feelings. I bought everything but don’t feel that I got my money’s worth like in past events. If I end up outside of the top 90, I’ll find something more tangible to waste thousands on. Like a high interest savings account.

I feel that we were misguided in purchasing / obtaining event tickets that were then to be exchanged for event tokens and then eventually into crystals. When someone purchases tickets with their money, odds to win and/or definition of value must be clearly identified. I felt that it was dishonest of Kabam not to give points for the crystals purchased with the event tickets/tokens. A lot of animosity could have been avoided if the point values were issued with all other purchases (300 points per SBC). Kabam can still take the opportunity to correct this error.
This I completely agree with and that would probably smooth things over a little. Those of us who rebought under the pretense we were preparing to earn points for banquet by buying ahead hot a big middle finger with the loss of 300 points per crystal. I personally lost 6000 points I bought(not the free ones) in daily deals. I started off with 20 crystals I bought through the deals for 3 months. That’s a lot of points lost that were not revealed to us would count for less points in the livestream where they were talked about. I would never have stocked up if I had known I wouldn’t get full points.
I tried to make this point in a separate thread and let’s just say it didn’t roll over well. But completely agree with you guys. I spent a little over 6500 units and feel like I got nowhere even though I did all the content for the 129 tickets, got the bundle, and the two extra tokens
I’m not happy with the event in general. I’ve played since the beginning, and due to work, Im not in alliance for first time in 10 years. Because I can’t currently remain active enough for the needs of an alliance, I don’t get to partake in gifting or accolades. What a gut punch, when I have been a player for 10 years
I am somewhat happy with the event, including the free champs, realm, and alliance rewards. However, the superior banquet crystals (SBC) were disappointing overall. Opening over 30 SBCs and getting any Tier 5 Class catalyst was a letdown. I understand that you need to buy and open crystals to get the solo, alliance, and realm rewards. For me, I would have been happier just getting two rewards that included either gold or T6 and any 7-star shards, T3 Alpha etc..

It is guaranteed, but not value in my eyes. The beta ray bill was great value in my opinion, 20 quid for the champ and lots of units etc. on top. This time the stuff I wanted was too down a spend I didn't want to go down so chose not to spend at all.

I suspect that Kabam is putting its finger on our Realm Banquet progress. While I haven’t formally documented it, it seems that our rate of progress has even increased, despite the uproar over the lame banquet crystals. I would not be surprised if Kabam is ensuring we make those milestones in order to salvage the Banquet event overall and prevent a full scale revolt.

You need to completely reevaluate this event. For two years now this event feels like two things. A way to milk the mega whales for the next rank up level and to give low level players the opportunity to buy some pretty good rank up materials they would never have access to. Enticing those lower accounts to drop some serious cash.
Valiant opening these crystals, it just hurts. 10 pop is 100 dollars of value. There is no way anyone of you at Kabam can look at a ten pop and say that is worth 100 dollars because it is so garbage. We are getting these tiny amounts of r4 materials I personally don’t even care. I wanted the crystal shards the sig stones higher amounts of t4a anything that didn’t feel like I was getting punched in the gut.
I’d suggest an alternate route for valiant next banquet. A special crystal for them if you need to. Something to make the event not feel so painful. Or hey just completely revamp the entire event into something else. I have experienced 2 banquets since I started playing and I can confidently say I would have ZERO problem with that event being deleted.

Don't get me wrong, I wish I had gotten a key from the crystals too... I wanted Deadpool far above any other thing from this event and won't be getting him unless I decide to pop another crystal or two in the next day and get extremely lucky. Such is the nature of gacha.

Yeah but again as said mainly also push as rank rewards are quite bad so tried pushing higher for the rank gem

Again... Specific items. I'm genuinely curious what someone expects from clearing 80k points that they didn't get in the process of opening crystals and claiming milestones (and why they didn't just skip the event if they were so disappointed)
The problem is once you spend a few thousand units and you realise the crystals are rubbish, but you’ve gotten a few steps up on the ladder rewards, you start to think well I might as well spend a thousand more units and I’ll get those better rewards and I’ll also get lucky with my crystal open. You don’t get lucky but see if you open another 5/10 crystals you’ll get another set of even better rewards. I went all in to get up to Isophyne but then didn’t open anymore other than stuff that’s free.
I’m at a point where if I open 3 more crystals, just 900 units it’ll take me to the 2-3 gem in the realm event. I went down to 27 units due to this event, I’m back up to 2,597 due to grinding arena so I can get them.
Now on any normal day if I was offered a 2-3 gem for 900 units I’d see that as a great deal, but I don’t want to get it. Even though 900 units is a great deal when looked at in isolation, when you look at this event as a whole I don’t like it and think it would be hypocritical of me after several posts criticising the event to then continue to buy the crystals and add to its perceived success within kabam.

Personally I think the amount of sigstones and crystal shards were the items that were most disappointing when you see the pull rates on those items. It wouldn’t have to be drastically more of each but say if shards minimums were at 5K and sigstones were 10 random and 5 generic then that would have improved the experience

Just make unit offers and skip the Crystals when there is no real value to be aspected in them.
It can also be.milestoned and people know what to expect.
