The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!
Is the raids message coming today cuz the in game mail effects ruined raids
This only makes sense if they increase the damage cap. Let us do 20 or 25% damage or remove the cap all together!
If they don't release more info and they just removed the extra revives with no other changes then the only explanation is Kabam just wants less people to play raids.
Kabam's response....... "OK, we've heard, we've listened and we have a solution. Raids revive inventory goes back to 7....... Only if you have the sigil"
Well, to be clear, I think it means we can only use one revive in our inventory when raids begins. And then you can claim the usual 7 for one goals each and seven more halfway through the week.
So it’s not great, but we will still have access to 15 revives to cover our raids run. We just can’t go into day one with 7 in inventory, then immediately buy seven more and seven more a few days later.
Will have to see how it works. The message says inventory between raids events but then also mentions the inventory limit. I’m wondering how it can only impact revives held between events - or if I don’t use them all before the Friday reset, say if I’m backup - I still can’t hold 7 during the event? Usually we will have someone collect them all before they reset at the midpoint, so the backup can use all 14 if needed.
There is a common saying in every culture that is the equivalent of saying "1 step foward 2 steps back"... Kabam is showing us the other alternative, they are just trying to moonwalk into the so called next 10 years... How do they manage to make so many horrible decisions back to back is beyond me.
@KabamPinwheel please show us the data that raid revives were killing the game and needed to be reduced by 6 otherwise Kabam would have yo layoff 25 employees
Really would be great to understand why this change was needed and what the intended goal is here… really not a fan of negative QoL changes. I think others have proposed a good alternative idea of making all raid revives available day 1 so players can play the content at their preferred pace. It’d be great to understand why this wasn’t included
Apologies for the delay, went up on the website first and I got mixed up on the timing. That's on me folks! Its up now
I feel like you guys should heavily reconsider the "Intent" vs. player agency, morale, and fun. This will shift things more toward the intended design but, in my opinion, at too steep a cost, especially at the time it's coming.
Oh gawd... There seems to be some disconnection or someone is playing a game of broken phone.. or something lol.. This was not about not announcing it on the forums, and Pinwheel just drops a "its posted now" and leaves rofl....

Not dipping, just confirming the announcement should have been on the forum at the same time as it appeared elsewhere.
With regards top the revives Im reading the feedback and collecting it to pass along.

This is an interesting point for sure and something we will keep an eye on. Will pass it along to the team but for now we'll just be observing how things go and collecting feedback.

The best example I can give is something along the lines of this. Imagine you're working at a company and when you sign up it's 3 days remote and 2 days in the office and you have your desk and everything is fine, people are content and have adjusted to it. Then all of a sudden they change it to 5 days a week because they have some metrics from 5 years ago showing a small increase in productivity when people are physically there. So now instead of being forced to show up 2 days a week, and get your stuff done, now it's 5 and everyone is really pissed because things were going fine, people were happy, crops were watered, face was moisturized etc.
Obviously this isn't as serious as that example but it's similar enough to get the point across.
I can see the logic behind the change (to being only able to carry 1 revive forward), as well as the player pushback.
If those revives continued to be in store even during the non-raid weeks, then EVERYONE would be able to start out on the same foot once Raids week begins. Everyone could start with 7, and then purchase the max amounts as well to use each week also.
But that is not the case, and there are various reasons why (previously) there were imbalances among players or alliances.
Alliances that didn’t run 3 BG's of Raids, would have people who weren’t in the prior one be able to carry forward 7 revives, while those who were in prior Raids may not have been able to carry that many forward (because they were using theirs).
As well, even among those who were all in Raids together, some players may not have had to use them if their teammates carried more of the load to beat the various defenders, while others woke up to already killed nodes and didn’t have to revive as much during that week.
Or alliances who totally skip a Raids week (say they alternate months, etc), then everyone could have come in with the extra 7 revives, and they could pile on more points that week that what that alliance might otherwise be able to do with normal amount of revives.
All-in-all, this change tends to even out those cases. Putting players and alliances on even footing for JUST THAT WEEK.
(*well, technically even footing would be to not allow ANY to carry forward. But I imagine that there may be Inventory constraints to not allowing inventory only on certain weeks)

Exactly. The sad part is people will still play the game mode and they will think that justifies the change. Like, ohh, we didn’t see a decrease in number of players playing or we actually saw more players play the mode and see that as a win. Its like this decision was made by a data analyst whose job is to sit behind the desk looking at numbers all day without taking into account fun.

I am not saying you are dipping; but the people on this thread are obviously aware of the information... Its like going to a mechanic with a car issue, and saying I dunno none of the lights came on. And the mechanic telling us, hey there was an issue with the engine.light, its on now ... We don't care about the issue with the engine light, we care about the issue with the engine.
My issue is the first line. I know it’s a joke, but I also do not like repeated failures. And considering the inputs are still off, and “dropped intercepts” are still pretty rampant, you’re still inevitably going to fail. I’m not that annoyed by this change, but idk pick your words better, especially on a day half your game bugs out for hours.
Also lower the cost and buff the rewards, both are bad. Cheers
So raids in a whole is becoming an issue. When it came out the 180 ticket prize to the content was worth it. After a year no rewards update on 100% clear. The Box rng Rewards are underwhelming in 2025 economy. Constantly mirco managing the raid bosses and how revives should benefit players but reward structure is still abysmal for aq in general. Before making life miserable for the player base atleaat entice them with better rewards for their efforts.
This will affect the most active players, the ones that used the 7 + 7 revives to clear the map within the first 24h. Why do you hate your most active players Kabam? Why? After the whales, they're the ones keeping this game running. You could compromise and drop it to like 4, even 3. But 1 is just hateful. At some point, these active players will turn on you. When that happens, alliances will die and so will the game modes that depend on them

I am more annoyed that they lined it up with Raid updates. Yes Kabam I am sorry; but every raid update has been bugged, from roles, paths, to charges. So this revive change on a round that we might waste revives is not a great idea.

It's also like they have a complete inability to read the room. The game is in rough, rough shape right now just in terms of playability (like WTF is up with intercepting?). Did nobody even think to maybe roll our this change once things settle down a bit? It would still get push back, but come on.
Comments
If they don't release more info and they just removed the extra revives with no other changes then the only explanation is Kabam just wants less people to play raids.

I liked raids. I'd log in, do my contribution (usually 2 mini's) wake up and the boss would be down.
An entire week of not worrying about aq. I was able to do whatever I wanted in game.
It was easily my favorite time in the game. Thanks for ruining that.
