**UPDATES TO ENLISTMENT GIFTING EVENT:**
To prevent exploitation, we will prevent new Accounts from being able to Gift enlistment crystals. We will also be taking action on those who are using 3rd Party Sellers, Bots and other farms to gift themselves mass amounts of Enlistment Crystals. Lastly, we will be adding an expiration timer to Enlistment Crystals. All unopened Enlistment Crystals will expire on Oct 18 @ 17:00 UTC. For more information, please see this post: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/346104/updates-to-enlistment-gifting-event

**KNOWN ISSUE**
We have adjusted the node placement of the new AW maps to better allow path traversal. As a result, defender placements have been reset. Please, take a moment to re-place your defender setup. We will be pushing out a message in-game shortly.

While i should expect that back, since they can look at my history, i would be okay with 5k shards in my case because at least i didn't have to spend the time because i was concerned about my phone and had war and aq to do.
Well in the end it's Kabam's game to run and grow, or ruin as they see fit.
They placed a value on what is they feel is an appropriate response to the issues that have been plaguing the game. It is now up to us, the players, to decide if we feel this is worth it, and we show that by continuing to play the game. If we continue to play then we have accepted what they are offering.
Personally I moved a while a go into a retirement alliance and dramatically reduced my game play, and spending. I play now because it's a good distraction at times and not for any other reason.
There's been plenty of times now that the players have been essentially neglected, talked down to, and shown just how little Kabam really does cares about the players overall, and plenty of examples where players just take it on the chin and come back.
Kabam has nothing to fear from the player base as the player base just keeps coming back.
The players will allow this to come and go, and we will move on and forget about it for a few weeks till the next thing happens, make noise, and do it over again. We have given them no reason to believe otherwise.
You are tagging the wrong Mike... this is the correct one @Kabam Miike
smh
In the end it doesn't change... We can yell, and we can have influence on in game changes which are AFTER the fact. Like with AW. They see the results in their "Data." They have made that very clear time and after time and that influences their decision.
My position is not Neutral, my position is yelling here, which it makes people feel better, is meaningless unless we impact their data by not playing as much. The player base is just as responsible for accepting these terms which Kabam keeps doling out and we give them no reason to act any differently then they have.
I think one of the major things that influences Kabam is how much money they make off their offers. If people are unhappy they won't buy the offers that get put out. If people really want to show Kabam they aren't happy they need to put their money where their mouth is. #moneytalks
In the past however the community has been able to correct some of the poor decisions that Kabam has made, so that is why it is not a bad idea to get on the forums and tell them what you think.
Yes the community has gotten some things changed by making a good argument for the change. Like I said, look at AW, after the fact we got SOME changes made after their correlated their data to the claims made.
When it comes to something like compensation/restitution the only thing that will show how unhappy we are is to impact how much game play they see their Data, how much spending, ect. It has to come from their data otherwise we are passively approving of their actions.
I really do hope that @Kabam Miike & @Ad0ra_ are fighting our case because it’s more than obvious that @Kabam Lyra & @Kabam Vydious don’t give a ****!!
The AQ bracket mistakes.
The constant server issues.
The disaster called 19.0
The changes to AW with zero changes in rewards even though clearly in most cases more resources needing to be used.
Im sure if i had the time to think back on this last month which i feel dwarf the issues that have happen prior these so called "summoner appreciation" is for lack of a better word an insult and especially for end game players.
They could have really pumped these up for not as they liked to say to assist in what has been missed due to these issues but more of a thank you for continuing to being a loyal player base etc. I feel they did the bare minmum by bringing back things that should already be a regular once a month things like gold realm and halls of healing.
But you know for as long as ive played I am no longer surprised. There is no trust in Kabam anymore and like most of us we have stuck around for the people we have become friends with along the way and they take advantage of that or disillusioned that its we think what they do reguarly is fair and justifiable. ($100 for 4500 T5B shards talk about an insult) But anyways thats my opinion. Agree or not that up to you and felt the need to express mine such as many others have.
Linking this here. Should have been merged in this thread anyway.
Dr. Zola
I guess if you are wanting things boiled down to suggestions on improving all of this, I would say the following...
1) apologize for being the cause of the problems with the game and overheating and bugs. You asked your playerbase to hold off on getting compensation and for some to even be able to play the game itself until you could fix the problem on YOUR end. You even asked us to risk our devices, knowing there was a problem and it would possibly damage them, to help you fix the issue. Acknowledge this was on your end, and that you specifically said in the official forums that compensation would be coming for this specific issue.
2) Re-evaluate the “package” you came to after your meetings and understand from even the average players perspective just how underwhelming it truly was. Take into account all of the players who were affected by the numerous bugs, server issues, and all of the other members in alliances where someone was having a phone issue and wasn’t reliable to help complete normal alliance wide events. While you were very clear that you view this whole mess as different than 12.0, the difference is not that much more than semantics. 12.0 was game CHANGING, while all of this was GAME BREAKING. You cannot play a game with this many problems and if it’s cooking your device, therefore the game is BROKEN. There are still open and active threads where players are having ongoing issues with this same thing. Even separate the device issue from everything leading up to it, and that STILL deserves more of a generous package than what you came up with.
3) understand that compensation isn’t just meeting some minimum threshold and remove this gwenpool event and whatever summoner appreciation event you came up with from compensation completely. They are two separate things, and the moderators here even told us as this. It’s insulting and disingenuous to repackage an existing event that’s held on an annual basis for a month long time period and suddenly shorten it to a week with less overall rewards. This is to show you care about your players and want to treat them for a significant amount of time, not something you threw together quickly when people might not be available and can’t take advantage of it. There’s no reason to shorten the timespan of it beyond showing the player base they aren’t worth it and making them feel like they’re being punished. Many of us have played this game for YEARS and the message from it in its current form is saying “we don’t appreciate you, you’re not even worth a full month anymore.”
4) forcing people to pick just one aspect of the game in these “compensation” packages is just silly, when everyone on both sides knows that ALL of that was affected during the problem. It looks even worse when the total of all of that together is actually closer to what should have been the real compensation package. People have even done the minimum data to show what an average player running all those those game modes would have earned in just a month time span, and this isn’t even 1/10th of what that showed. We aren’t dumb - your player base is actually quite smart and would have to be in order to play this increasingly complex game. Yet you do something like this and just expect no pushback or think no one will remember or notice how bad it really is?
All of it just makes me understand how disconnected kabam and those in charge still are, even after they swore to us after 12.0 things would be different. For every good change and step forward, there’s always 4 steps back. This entire situation is like a football field back, and there’s really no reason for it to be that way. Reevaluate your compensation, make the summoner appreciation a full month like it was before, and apologize. That’s all you need to do to make this right.
