Oh I noticed you took out your little prestige part of the comment lol
I didn’t read all the pages of this post but I read the first few and the last 4 pages. @Worknprogress Is one of few with decent comments about this. A lot of other comments addresses concerns that was not targeted by the ticket change at all.
There might be some odd drawbacks with the new system. Where you can’t receive charity donations from alliance mates covering your part of AQ donations. And that might suck. But to be fair the resources needed for donations, or now, tickets, is not that much and should be obtainable for all (With as little as 2 hour of arena a week)
I see very few ppl taking about the positive effect.
1) Elimination of merc donation drops. Merc drops was used by a few top ranked alliances giving them unfair advantages. Now the 600-ticket bundles from Kabam offers the same thing for ( in most cases ) less money. And it’s now available to all players should they want to use it.
2) More resources to the ppl!!! Donation cost has gone down - significantly. Map 5 is now free, map 6 and 7 resources needed for AQ per player is down between 28% and 35% (depending on what donation strategy was used by your alliance)
3) you can now substitute all or part of one resource when buying tickets for another. Yes, you will need to pay a premium when doing this. (Between 10% and 20% if you double up on tickets bought with one resource) that’s not bad. At least it’s much better then not having that option at all.
I don’t know of any scenario where this change has a negative impact on resources needed for AQ. It’s long term good for everyone. (Except if you where a freeloader depending on others covering donations for you)
The only two pitfalls I seen is: - tickets in alliances running mixed maps across bgs - and that is being addressed already in a change not to far away - Ensuring members has tickets or resources to participate in AQ. That’s not a problem per day. Just a new situation alliances need to adopt to. And it will be significantly better then tracking donations in the treasury.

Lol yeah because I knew you'd respond. Its only you that has higher prestige than me though. Probably XNig as well. I'm not sure.
Just to make my stance clear though I like the new ticket system. As an alliance leader you had to deal with freeloaders and it really sucks. Obviously very few people have that perspective though.

So over all I see this as a win win.
There's also having to pay a premium to use more of one resource than the others as opposed to being able to straight swap with other alliance members, but that was only an option if you had enough people wanting to trade what you needed. Now everyone can use more of the same resource without needing to find a swap though. It's a slight negative but I still feel a net positive in the long run.
I like you feel the pros vastly outweigh the cons in this though. The treasury was never a bank you could withdraw from as wanted so while I'm not surprised people are upset with the wipe, I still don't feel they have a valid reason to be. It will take a while for people to get used to it but I see it being a positive change going forward.

I don't understand why people keep pushing the line Donation cost has gone down when the actual reality is its more or less the same with the removal of gold and BC given back from map 6 & 7. As Kabam Mike said, it more or less balances itself out. I am talking in regards to your statement regarding donations for map 6 & 7 players.
Also point 1 above can also be solved with no cost to maps. its an even playing field then. No real reason why this game mode has a cost associated to it. Its part of the reason why people don't enjoy it. Its taxing enough having to organize 30 people to get links etc down and the map cleared without the added pressure that if you fail you effectively just wasted resources. Just like the catalyst arena had a cost to entry which again no one enjoyed paying that. If you really want a cost for AQ it should be done through some resource independent of the other resources that is achieved via activity in the alliance maybe from the alliance events page.
You also seem to disregard the fact alliances had healthy treasuries built up over years which was completely wiped out without any adequate reimbursement to the alliance for this. Again this helped keep costs down.
Also thanks the the shambolic execution of this change and lack of communication. Mixed BG alliances have to deal with this 2 months of the high map players paying a bigger premium. They will either see their players leave to find all same map alliances or be forced to do lower maps thus slowing their progression because they can't get access to the higher map crystals as well as reducing the glory they achieve. That's at least 8 AQ cycles. For my alliance that's a loss of 56 map 7 crystals and 80 map 6 crystals.
So i am failing to see this as a postie change. In the new system my method of donating will still be split as it makes the most sense to get the best value out of my resources. Everything else is largely the same from my perspective.
23 pages deep, and i didn’t read every page, but I don’t think any of the mods have addressed why 5 months cutoff and why no decent heads up?
I can see the positive in this change, but the entire treasury was wiped. And I got back zero tickets even though I donated regularly and made up for others, and my ally members got back tickets. Our millions of battle chips were also gone just like that, because we haven’t been using it much since map 5 became free for BCs. We had wanted to do map 6 when we are more ready and guess what, my ally is ready. And thanks to kabam, we actually have to spend more resources to do so when our Treasury could have taken care of the BCs bit quite comfortably for weeks at least.
Seriously, more heads up would have at least given us a chance to deplete our treasury.
Why the hastiness to do this and make the large majority of the player base unhappy??

I don't think it had made "the large majority" unhappy though. It may look that way reading the forums but I look at them like product reviews. More people are willing to go out of their way to say something negative than positive. I guess it gives some sort of sense of vindication or catharsis.
So you end up with an echo chamber of discontent when in reality the majority are just going about their business bc they're neither greatly upset or overjoyed. I know far more people outside of the forum that are happy with the change than are upset personally.
I love the new system. It actually afforded me the opportunity to run all map 7 for my alliance and finally drop map 6 completely. So I think majority of people prefer the change. I understand map 6 guys anger because they didn't communicate that gold will no longer be refunded after completing the map. But map 5 and below I don't understand the issue at all when you have a free map. It makes our legitimate issues seem like we're just complaining just to complain.
The donation costs for map6 are more or less the same. It may be positive to get rid of illegal loaders, not so much for legit donation swappers. More a win for Map7 than map6. Going to take awhile to get used to this new (albeit more painful) system.

The alliance treasury refund in the form of tickets. Does that wording make you happier?

Is anyone else waiting?
Are they coming before the next AQ?
AQ start tomorrow.
Still no update about temporary solution to split cost between alliance's members?
