Hey all,
We were all looking forward to Odin joining the contest, and it's safe to say we were all let down. Which aspect of his kit would you target specifically?
Cheers.

His core mechanics - modify his Signature Ability to reduce the penalizing effects of Odinsleep

That being said, I don’t like the idea of a champion that you have to not use. Listening to Kabam Broccoli talk about Hercules design plans, saying that he is a champion that should be in the hands of players so they can actually play him and have fun, made me realize how lacking that is in Odin. What fun is a character that you just straight up can’t use half the time? It’s a different situation than Apocalypse’s signature ability because he gets healing, not core damage output, from sitting out. If necessary, you can always toss a potion into Apoc if he needs health before a fight. But you can’t make up for Odin having only 50% attack that way.
I don’t think the solution should be locked behind his sig ability. The sig could enhance the benefits of it or whatever, but having a character in this state is just not fun.
Next overhaul Odin
Utility is a piece severely lacking with no debuffs or immunities. His largest pieces of utility come from being able to boost other characters and his true strike buff. Being the all father he has gone against Surtur, held Mjolnir, and fought ice giants so I would give him Incinerate, Coldsnap and Frostbite, and Shock Immunity.
In terms of Debuffs, armor break off heavy with a system similar to his energize ability . And maybe Armor Shatter off sp 2 or 3 similar to Medusa’s armor shatter.
Right now both the damage and lack of immunity make him an average to slightly above average champion in his class at best even with Odin sleep. Unfortunately the game is to old that an average to slightly above champ for most means bench warmer except for the rare instance or having fun. If you aren’t huge damage or solid damage with a strong level of utility then you can’t make the cut anymore for the most part to me.
I agree with @Etjama - I wouldn't use Odin even if his Odinsleep buffs were permanent. It's like putting a speed limiter on a Prius for safety concerns.
He needs more utility, in both of the listed areas. I'd mainly like to see good immunities and an easy to manage true strike. A true strike that requires a special to fire off and then only lasts 7 seconds isn't useful to me, even if I can extend it by being in the opponent's face.
On that note, the buff extension itself is silly. It basically forces getting block damage which is a huge no-no for champ design.
The simplest way to deal with Odinsleep is letting it be a regen like Apoc's sig. It doesn't reward the player, but it saves them from their screwups.
His synergies... need some work. Some are laughably pointless while another turns Hela into big yellow youtube-fodder.
The vault, is honestly kinda disappointing. Sure it's absolutely incredible for buffed up and it helps Ghost a ton, but it doesn't have that wow factor in and of itself.
I like many of the thoughts behind Odin's design, but it feels like they took something cool, chopped off most of the cool bits, and then presented the mangled husk.
*claps profusely*
I like the idea of champs having certain abilities to them and somewhat of a strategy built in. Airwalker takes two fights to ramp up and he is a beast. But I can get why you feel he needs more .
I do think there needs to be a “none” option.
Yes, for example, you would have to take some Loki to your team, but at the same time Odin himself would receive some very decent bonus, and if you assembled a completely Asgardian team, Odin would become a champion who can clear the roads alone.
Now the picture looks like this:
You should take on a team of champions who almost completely repeat the abilities of Odin, Heimdall for example - there is not really any variety in abilities.
Angela makes the picture a little better, because she has abilities that are not standard for cosmic champion, but if it had not been updated, it would have been horror at all.
