I think that's all but I could have missed something.
Iβm curious whether the βstruck by a special attackβ language that used to read βknocked down by a special attackβ means he loses Boon if he blocks a special attack.
Dr. Zola
EDIT: just read that they also changed how to deactivate the power gain, and it seems to actually be easier ^_^
They changed SP2 to pause Armor Break when Boon of Gods active. Here is the situation, let's say you launched SP3 at 39th combo. Even if u launch L2 right after u get there u will have hardly 1-2 seconds.
What can make him better ? There are 2 solutions for this actually.
1 -) If that armor break paused when "Thunder's God Wrath" is active , that would help him so much more. That won't be OP or something. Even if u armor break the opponent you still have to stun them, which u have only %16 chance each time u shock the opponent, not %16 chance against shocked opponents. You maybe have 2-3 SP1 chance in that time.
2 -) Leave SP2 as it will be but add something in his Boon of God phase. Something like " If Boon of God is active armor breaks are paused. It has only 6 seconds, that won't make him OP or something.
Or maybe his buff is good as it is right now and I'm missing something, I don't know. What do you guys think ?
- Signature ability is now on base Kit, no more Sig 200 requirement
- New signature ability lets each shock reduce ability accuracy by 20%, and a nice attack increase during thunder gods wrath of 2118
- shock effect duration is reduced by 90% instead of 40% (could apply to EMP mod)
- armour break from proccing shock is 900 for 10 seconds now instead of 700 for 6
- sp1 stun is a 75% chance up from 45%
- sp2 armour break is 16 seconds now up from 10, and paused during boon of the gods
- Sp3 basically just does what his old sig is
- Changes to the sp3 include 30% of opponents max health if suffering from armour break
- Shock damage from thunder gods wrath is up from 1516 to 1949
- shock damage from sp3 is up from 1083 to 2599
Also, Boon of the gods counts down from 20 to 0, instead of the other way around
2. Shock debuff duration now -90% from -40%
3. Inflicting stun while attacking with armor break will now deal +250% damage as burst
4. SP1 stun chance boosted to 75% and 100% from 45% and 55%.
5. SP2 armor break is now paused during boon of gods
6. SP3 damage cap increased to max 30% if armor broken. God's wrath duration decreased by 3 sec. God's wrath can be accessed without awakened now.
7. Shocks deal +435 damage.
8. Thunder Gods wrath now provides around 100% attack (with max sig)
9. AAR for each shock boosted to 20% from 15%.
While all these seem to be a lot of changes, he'll still be a complete noodle before 40 hits and sp3. So many changes but none addressed to the main flaw of the character.
Pros: the tune up values look really great, I think he will have a lot of damage potential now. Thor could always deal some pretty great damage with a full synergy team and a lot of investment, I think they've kept that, while giving him a nice new sig that seems like it will reward people who have invested in him for prestige. At worst, he will stay a prestige champion, so nothing has been taken away from him. I love that his sig has been added to his base kit.
The 90% reduction to shock effects could be huge, it says effects and not debuffs, so there's a good chance he will be an amazing counter to EMP Mod, should it work in our favour.
Cons: the lack of other utility is a little concerning, and the practicality of the utility that is there doesn't seem promising. Remember that to shock the opponent at all, you need 40 hits on the combo, or an Sp3. An overwhelming majority of fights require immediate DAAR, not 40 hits or an sp3 in. An sp3 takes about 30 hits to get to.
It feels like another case of a Gamora buff, nice utility, hidden behind unrealistic mechanics. If you're fighting Thorns or evade, you're gonna get 30 loads of thorns, or 30 chances to evade.
I'll wait to comment on his damage, but it seems really great. But you can see now, that his utility isn't likely going to be used much.
This is all he has? Is there anything I missed? Damage seems like it'll be good but I'm seriously underwhelmed by the utility side of him.
