Is This Considered Battlegrounds "Cheating" or Not?

So I've been playing battlegrounds since it came out and reached the Silver 2 bracket yesterday, but since then I haven't won a single match due to people using squads of half 1 Star Champs and half 6 Star r3 champs (Keep in mind I am still Uncollected and have only played people with squads as powerful as my own or a bit better prior). I don't know if what these people are doing is considered cheating, due to their profile saying they are Thronebreaker or Paragon and the fact that they are competing against Uncollected and Cavalier players. After finding this info I just wanted to ask the community on what their thoughts on this were.

This is a game. Have fun. Why bother trying to rig victories?
I just made it Silver 2. Every roster I face is flooded with tough fights, no matter who I ban. But it’s a fun challenge, and I dig it. I’m just not ambitious and am fine just seeing where this leads, if anywhere. We have all month right?
I have no interest in doing the 2* method as it takes the competitiveness away however comparing my main account to my alt account (which I've only really done story content and the odd side quest for rewards) is a bit baffling.
On one hand my main account (8r4s 50+r3s etc.) goes up against similar account and we have tight competitive matches which is good fun and main reason I play BG. The grind up the victory track is real and using the gained elders marks is a gamble each time.
Now on my alt account (2r3s, 3r2s and 8r5s) I have half a strongish deck and then the rest are just whatever highest rated champs i can fill it with like a few r1 6*s and some r4 4*s. This account has lost barely any matches, is a division and some above my main account plus it's only lost one elders mark match so a fair bit ahead in solo event compared to my main (not fussed about solo rewards, trophy token items are fine for me for now).
So an endgame player who does t1 war and all that can not tank their main account rating for easier fights, get competitive matches but then jump on the alt account and destroy "competitive" matches through experience and skill.
Seems a bit flawed, the old rank vs rank method at least avoided this type of tanking of rating for easy matchups.
Looks like with their matchmaking if there's no similar rating in current bracket it'll search higher/lower brakcets as well.
And someone said that the same thing happens in arenas for years now. No. In arenas you can get all the milestones. Here you can't.
Give it two months of this and the top rated will be the alt accounts of people like swedeah and not their mains. And good luck trying to start playing in a season or two hence as a paragon. You'll be forever rooted to the bronze tier unless you pay...
BUT.... Speakng off which... If kabam are really trying to milk those whales and you're a 15k PI account, who will only match other 15k PI accounts in bronze III, then buying a pass to the top is sensible.
And if kabam are looking to monetise this game mode as such, then it's even more reason to steer clear.
Otherwise, kabam need to look at a clash royale system; ranked as they had the beta, with matchmaking on ranking only, nothing to do with deck strength, with elite prizes and the peak of the game. Those amazing players and those with strong decks will get to the top.
And perhaps a 4* or 5* battlegrounds, where the prizes are less, but it's pure skill, rather than whaling. Could be ideal if they do want to go into online tournaments.
But as it stands, the only way to climb rankings as a paragon, will be to mix in 1* and 2* as otherwise any 50/50 algorithm will keep you perpetually matching other high strength paragon accounts and languishing in the bronze tiers.
Because if you can't beat them, everyone will be joining them.
And if you tweak the code so you only match on PI for example, to remove the 1*/2* matching and regardless of tier, you only get matched on PI and not against players at your rank, then I can see this game mode dying very quickly.
Just think that this time, Kabam is purposely testing the matchmaking. So if you decide to use 1/2-stars, you're just testing the game mode and contributing to the beta, in your own way.
Arena is meant to get harder as you go along which is why you get the "death matches" the long your streak is. People sandbag to get around those matches. There isn't any rule against this in arena and there isn't any rule against adding 2*'s to you deck in BG's. People found a way to get easier matchups in BG's and there's nothing in the rules that says it can't be done.
I am not in any way condoning what people are doing in BG's but lets not pretend there hasn't been 1000's of posts in the forums asking how to achieve the infinite streak in arena. So until Kabam can figure out a way to remove that element from BG's, any they very much should, it's not cheating and it's not against the rules.
