Kabam sold me on Battlegrounds last season. This season undid that completely.

I'm a fairly sizeable spender in game as a Paragon player. I have plenty of 7* champions, maxed out 6* champions etc. I did all of the difficult content this month. Brutal DLX 100%. Legendary Incursions zone 25 done.

Last season I made it to Gladiator circuit with well over 400k points and enjoyed it. However, this season was an absolutely dreadful experience. I missed Battlegrounds when it went away last season. That was the first time I felt that way. Now I really don't care of it ever comes back. Matchmaking is a mess, The medal system change is way too grindy, and the rewards are not worth the effort. I love this game but when this mode is bad it really starts to change how I feel.

I really hope Kabam gets this mode right because at it's best its a fantastic mode. This season though?..... One of my worst in game experiences in 8 years.

SO you like getting easy rewards and don't like having to work for them? Got it.

    You don't? See first post.

Some well known Youtubers have been struggling to get to GC. I'm not that skilled and am not pretending to be. However, if literally the best players in the world can barely get there is that good?

You shouldn't be able to reap the rewards that more skilled players (or bigger spenders, but that's a separate discussion) are getting, that's the nature of a competitive game mode.

Then, on the flip-side, it is a fun more (personally) that shouldn't be so deflating when you are constantly losing.

How do they fix it? I don't think letting you climb further up the ladder, more easily, is the answer.

You're able to reach as high as your skill and roster allows. If you can't get as high as you want, improve your skill and roster.

Perhaps the mode was misrepresented by season 9 then? I had played the mode casually prior but 9 was the first season that I pushed hard.

My question again would be, is it smart for Kabam to have an "easy" season with even better rewards (I realize that was for "AW compensation") only to then have this season?

It was a complete and total turn off after falling in love with the mode and I think its important that Kabam know that. I don't want this to be arena and I do want a challenge. This didn't feel like a challenge. It felt rigged.

I'M NOT SAYING IT WAS!!! That is just how it felt.

Some "people" are funny, I don't know how other people can say they had it easy when they had to go thru the same exact process.
They had the string the same ammount of wins, same ammount of tiers and all.
Some "people" can't see the difference between complaints on the structure change (which is the same for every player) and matchmaking complaints from lesser experienced players.

Wait I am not getting this straight, is your complaint about the rewards or the game mode?
The rewards was a special event because of the lack of war. Which is why the season was completely different. Season 9 had conqueror players in for the first time, also getting into GC was not as important as reaching milestone rewards, there was a lot more participation from all types of players trying to get those milestones.
This season probably had a lot more hard try players due to burn out too.

Season 9 was essentially the guinea pig test season for the double medals. This season was probably so difficult for 2 reasons.
    1. Seeding. With seeding in place kabam had to extend the VT or reduce the effectiveness of it.
    2. We had almost 100k or more people in GC last season, which meant people needed almost 200 points just to get out of Uru 3.

Kabam was already extending the VT (I disagree with having 2 medals stop at gold instead of diamond though) for seeding, and they knew statistics-wise that this season would be bad because it was the first to have seeding. I hope they make some changes, but I imagine we won't see any drastic changes until after the next season and they can pull the data to see how everyone does with seeding.

Each season of BG I made it to GC, this season I am stuck in vibranium2, I have been playing the whole day to try and get into GC but to no avail. Forver stuck in win one, loose 2, win 2 loose 1 and I am exhausted, so much time given and for nothing. These changes is overkill and I dont think seeding is going to help. We all have to face each other and I for one cannot go through another season of the added vibranium tiers. If this is the new battle grounds then I will take my package of rewards where I am seeded and thats it. Really starting to hate this game mode. Below is my profile.

Below is the guys I face

I am not ambitious with BG, but I am in Diamond and it has been fine. I just play casually.

Shouldn't all those bigger accounts that you can't beat be higher than you?

Talking about the game mode structure, not the game play.
Everyone has to go thru the same ammount of tiers, winning and losing rewards or takes away the same ammount of coins.

I feel your pain, I got to be honest with you. My account is quite a bit smaller than your and still face 4.5mil+ and 19k+ prestige.

I feel the main problem is the Win 1 token, Lost 1 token, and I can't see Seeding will fix this, as this problem create a bottleneck problem for a lot of players, anything from 2mil all the way up to 5mil and above. Everyone is stuck in this cycle with some wins and some losts and stuck in the same Tier.

Every players that are in the same Vibranium tier will also be in start in the same Tier together, and all will continue to get bottlenecks next season.

If players (whatever level) can move throw their own level well then we naturally would have less matching issue. I have a small account and below average skills, so not expect to get high as other bigger or/and more skilled. But right now, I actually feel bad when facing much larger accounts than me (who played well), as I feel like they could/should be at a higher Tier, but they are not, because players is stuck in a 1 win, 1 lost loop.

I'm talking about the same. It's not structured that way. Some sweep the tiers, some 50% them, and some even less. Currently BGs functions like arena where you can do infinite fights as long as you have the marks. Having a system where a set number of matches per season can be played could be a good change. Like every player can only do 100 matches every season for example. That would make it competitive and a competition. The points you get per win goes towards your overall rank. So let's say 2 players go undefeated, the one who scored the most points per round will rank higher.

Going through the same gauntlet doesn't make the expectation on everyone reasonable.

That's not my argument though, I am argueing that some people blame it on a level of difficulty increase, when everyone has to play thru the same difficulty.
You are argueing the capability of brute forcing and is valid; but adding tiers and changing the coin system didn't make it harder for some and easier for others. Matter of fact when they changed the coin system in season 8 it was made easier for EVERYONE, and now the difficulty was slightly increased for everyone as well.

Not a fan of vibranium having three tiers. Sure seems like it’s just there to make you want to buy victory shields. 15 wins is a lot. Kabam has been saying they want to make things less grindy and then do this.

Neither does having higher expectations than reasonable ones.
I don't know why you are bringing other posts and other situations into this one. OP is not a lower or newbie player, the difference about season 9 and othets were explained and you keep your unending senseless narrative about including all players and such.

Matchmaking is fine. You're being seeded for next season.

The medals changed from 2 seasons ago and are the same this season as last the only exception is there are more tiers this season.
