Sorry pikolu but its not “equal in value”... With these 6* rank up gems kabam is literally making me use those T3A and T6B on 6* when I would had wanted to invest them on my 7*…. Raw materials are far more valuable than “random” rank up gems.

Kabam isn't "making" you do anything.
    It's all you.
Oh yeah they are... They are locking some valuable resources behind a gem of a specific rarity that you could have used toward a 7*. So you either use it or leave it collect dust on your inventory !

If kabam even gave half the value of those gems as raw materials and some t6c selectors then you bet everyone would be more than happy but people will never like seeing those materials locked behind random gems.

Why did the sig stone count in 8.3 is 40 compared to 50 in 8.1 and 8.2? Just why?

Good luck using that 6* gem on a 7*
Ok. I’ll just use the *generic* 7* rank up gem they’re also giving us. Not even a crystal for a random class, a generic. But keep complaining.
This is such a weirdly anti-player response that it's honestly shocking. What would be the difference if Kabam gave us all the same materials in catalyst form?
You wouldn't get all the same materials in catalyst form. As people have mentioned, having individual rank up catalysts does have more flexibility than having rank up crystals, but that also means players are getting more total rank up "stuff" in rank up gem form than they would have gotten in individual crystals.

Because high rank 6* materials are basically the same as low rank 7* materials there's no straight forward way to value them differently in the game. If the developers want to add more rewards to help players rank up their 6* roster, they are automatically also giving players more resources to rank up their 7* roster. Because 7* champs are the higher rarity, stronger players have more of them than weaker players (relatively speaking: we're talking about very high roster strength players in general). Giving rank up gems provides a way to give more 6* help than 7* help, and that's probably why the rewards are the way they are in 8.3.

To oversimplify, the devs wanted 8.3 to give more help to players ranking 6* champs than 7* champs, in order to continue to make it so that it is harder to gather 7* materials than 6* materials. Because at this moment in the 7* roll out it should be.

you have plenty access to them in Loyalty and Glory store.

Access, sure, the ability to buy them, not so much unless you're in an ally

    There are 2 r4 gems (one random one generic), a r5 gem (random), and a 7* r2 gem(generic). That's the equivalent of 19 t3a and 19 t6b.

It's the equivalent, but they're not equal.
You can do a lot more with those raw materials than you can with the gems.

The gems limit you to ranking up a single character - specific class too if they're not generic. The materials allow you to rank up multiple characters if you spread them out/rank lower champions.

The rewards for 8.3 are extremely generous, but let's not push a narrative that it's the exact same as getting the raw materials.
    You want to burn t6cc???

    Also:
    Reading comprehension.

Equivalent - yes. They are worth the amount of materials.

Individual materials however, can be used to rank up multiple characters.
Gems cannot. Thus, the gems are not equal in the sense that the materials have more diversity and broader use.

You want to look up a word in the dictionary, cool. Just be sure to actually read the post you're trying to be snarky with "guardian".
