It doesn't address the fact they acknowledge the regeneration is too much. Add a heal block? Something? Doesn't seem like enough to me
That eliminates the Healing completely,. which is still a part of the challenge. Yes, it's harder than we might like, but it's not impossible, and the point of this content is to be hard and to make you explore the depths of your roster for the right counters. That is a part of Absorbing Man, and for the most part, what we're more worried about is how he'll be in the Gauntlet when you can't bring a counter for just him and have to worry about the whole quest.
Easier to explore the depths of my roster if it doesn’t cost me 10 energy each time.
Dr. Zola
It would, but we're not trying to make things easy in what is meant to be end-game content. You can get 7 runs in every time you're energy is full, and if you do that just once per day, that is up to 98 attempts, if you so choose to do it.
With respect, I’m not sure you get what people are saying. This isn’t about easy vs. difficult… it’s about fun challenge vs. obnoxious slog.

There is no agreement within your team? The announcement says energy consumption issue will be fixed in upcoming tasks, but you are still saying this is reasonable.

You need to read the post again. Nowhere does the post say we will "fix" energy requirements. It says we will use Winter of Woe to assess the situation. It is impossible to determine the impact from a change like this to the energy economy in one day.

L response. Shows how out of touch you guys are, especially with how the community’s responding. You’re acting like this is the only thing to do this month.
I'd love a response about how time isn't a valuable resource to Kabam.
Slap in the face of free to play players. What an arrogant position from a serious company about the biggest portion of their player base. At least disrespectful for them 🙁 I’m a spender, and I feel very uncomfortable with this statement.

It's not impossible, but it's overtuned. But saying that this content is meant to make you explore the depths of your roster makes no sense? The tags limit this content all the way down to a select few champs. The correction about the #Robots tag is in direct result of the content limiting champions too much. I'm not saying every champion should be viable, but there should be a little more variety involved. Respectfully, that may be the intent of the content, but definitely missed the mark.
They're changing nothing and haven't agreed to make changes in the future to energy. 1 point is not the gift you seem to think it is.
It isn't the best response but I personally had resigned myself to not seeing any response given Jax's earlier post. If they actually tune this fight down for the Gauntlet segment of this end of the year, and use current feedback to gauge how (over)tuned the upcoming fights are, I can do with missing this specific objective.

This is fight 1 in a year year-long event. You're putting way too much faith in Miike's ability to judge the future difficulty of fights.

At no point during the testing of this fight did the issue of Abs Man regenerating like crazy in between revives come up as a potential over tuned issue?
Hmmm, might still take a crack at this since I’ve got some revives about to expire anyways. Would be nice to choose 2 objectives on the final week to not do

It did. We’re the testers and noticed the issue as soon as the fight was available.

And what does energy economy have anything to do with limited time endgame content? Wasn’t a problem with EoP, SoP or other challenges you guys have introduced prior.

I wild like to say something I might not be crazy good at the game but this challenges Is not a Everrest contest either it called a challenge because it timed events

"Not trying to make things easy". What??? High energy cost ≠ difficult. Y'all made the fight plenty hard enough, all the energy cost does is disincentive actually learning the fight and using various champs while incentivising just reviving spamming through (which is perfectly OK now for some reason ). Im curious, are these fights fights intended to be soloed? And for what rank champ is the fight balanced towards? I don't see how the fact that only 3 robots can barely do the fight at 7r2 gets past you guys and put to the players? You don't test the fights at all? The fact that you're giving this point seems like admission enough that you don't

Bro.. We get 10 Energy per hour..10 energy cost for 1 attempt.. so 24 attempts in a day..
I dont know where you got 98 attempts calculation from 😂
So, that now your math is wrong, wouldn't it make sense to reduce the energy cost..
The lack of compromise around energy is a missed opportunity. Yeah, we get it, we’re going to have to use items, but you’re really going to make us use every type of item, including energy refills? Such low hanging fruit that could’ve been a nice olive branch that wouldn’t impact the difficulty of the content at all.
Yes the robot challenge was hard but that's what endgame content is all about. It would have been miles better if they had just lowered the energy cost to at least like 3 per tile or even 2/1 per tile. I've heard so many more people complain about the energy rather than the difficulty of the robot objective.
There are things you *can* do as a dev and things you *should* do. This is one of those instances where it feels like “You’re doing this because I said so!” out of spite.
I’d prefer it if the community didn’t act as testers for new content. There is no way someone at Kabam actually tried soloing this fight with a robot champ and thought, “Yea, this seems reasonable for the average player”
I leveled up my she hulk to do this damn event. Everything was going well, in two fights I managed to leave this wretch with 40% health. But then he started to get defensive and regenerate all his life again until he was at 80% health again. I simply refuse to spend everything I saved in months on a **** event like that. Kabam took one of the best defenders in the game and together with absurd knots he left him on the brink of the impossible.

His math was based on you doing 7 tries a day during the full 2 week period, although that was a very weird response o.O

Fair - it's the game team and their judgement I'm hoping to see sensible fights from here on in. The energy cost is still a big mistake but it's seems to be one of these if-i-go-back-on-this-I'll-lose-face situations

"Depth of my roster"? More like the depth of my wallet.
