So far, I have 24 3* relics, and some of the same relics in the upper star levels, but hundreds of champs. Are there more relic champs available and I just don't have them yet? If not, will there be new relics released soon, and with a varitey of classes? Constantly unbinding them from one champ and binding to different a champ is getting old. We keep getting relic offers, but no new relic champs. Here is a list of the ones I have:

Now that said, whether you love, hate, or feel completely indifferent to relics, I think the concept must be up in the top 5 most frustrating topics of 2023.
Kabam hyped them up pretty good at launch towards the end of 2022, and less than a year later, the release cadence is "paused".
To me, the frustrations are multifaceted.
1) Five months after announcing the pause in release cadence, we've had no additional information. Miike made a brief reference to them on a stream in December, but it was little more than dancing around the topic saying "they're not going away".
2) Despite #1, they continue to release content that punishes summoners for not using relics.
3) They continue to include relic shards (rather stingy) as rewards in top tier content.
3a) Could other rewards replace these relic shards?
3b) Does kabam have a plan for the shards being awarded, if at the conclusion of the pause, they decide to do away with them?
4) The limited pool of relics combined with #2, forces additional steps in playing end-game content, cause you likely have to unbind a relic from one champ to put it on another champ.
5) With the increasing range of abilities new champs have, many champs don't even have a relic that truly benefits them. You're left simply throwing a relic on and using it for nothing more than a combo extender, and negating the punishment received by a node for not having one equipped.
I'm currently sitting on 19 5* Nexus relics because I already have all of the available 5* relics awakened.
I continue to open all tiers of relic crystals when I form a full one via shards cause I'm still missing nine of the 6* relics that I'm chasing.
So like I said, I personally like relics. I just really wish they'd give an update on the status. Kill the program completely or get it back on track as something we can get excited about. At a minimum though, stop releasing content that punishes people for not having a relic equipped.
More unique interactions with new relics should be implemented. Give a 3 second debuff immunity passive, grants a passive power gain, pauses debuffs on activation for 3 seconds, grants a regen passive etc…. There are so many cool things they can add instead of just extending a combo. I’d be fine with giving them some of the abilities I mentioned above and taking away the stun… only for new ones though.
It’s very bizarre that they pushed them so hard for 6 months and then basically cut them off except forcing us to have and use them. What if they just cut off releasing 7* out of nowhere? It’s the same thing basically.
An Iron Man/War Machine/ Silver Centurion Relic that benefits armor up gain
A Cyclops Relic to benefit power efficiency for champions like dust and Prof X
An Annihilus Relic for Armor Break
A Man Thing Relic that benefits Nullify And Poison for champions like Diablo and Claire
A Zemo relic that Benefits Cleanse/Purify
An Electro Relic that benefits Supressions Exhaustions, Withers and Petrifies
Also a tech relic enhancing armor up effects, a skill relic that empowers bleed is also in due.
That's like getting GameStop stock as a christmas bonus...in the year 2023.

For perspective, we currently have hundreds of champs, but only 4 relic champs in each class.
Science: Spidey 2099, Captain America, Hulk, Ant-Man.
Tech: HB, Vis, Sentinel, Green Goblin
Skill: Black Panther, Valkyrie, Winter Soldier, and Black Widow
Mutant: Storm, Gambit, Sinister, Wolverine
Cosmic: Gamora, Thor, Venom, Mz. Marvel
Mystic: Iron Fist, Juggs, Scarlet Witch, Ghost Rider.
That's it.
I've got a stash of relic crystals that I won't even open because there's nobody new in them. We're getting relic offers, but I avoid buying them for the same reason.
I guess they didn't think we are going to use relics as combo extenders, and that really is game breaking
When I get 6* duped versions of the relics I see people chasing? They just feel like any other striker to me. 🤷♂️
