I’ve played a bunch of live service games in my time, and I’m playing two currently. MCOC and Destiny 2. Destiny has been around for a couple months more than MCOC, but they’ve got very comparable lifespans.
Destiny 2 is a game that feels like it may be dying. Its story wrapped up, no big bad or new challenges on the horizon, no room left for the player to grow or difficult/everest style content to clear, plus a tremendous amount of corporate/behind the scenes upheaval.
MCOC does not feel that way. There is no shortage of content, no lack of challenge on the horizon. Our rosters continue to grow both horizontally (more champions) and vertically (ranking them higher). There has been some upheaval on the corporate side in that we’ve seen the bulk of the community team depart and be replaced. The lack of effective communication that this has produced has reasonably caused some distress in the community, but this is not an apocalyptic event.
NetMarble is clearly putting money back into this game. Look at all the content we are getting. The new looks on everything, the updated website and new store. This is NetMarble’s Golden Goose and they’re giving it all the tools they can to make sure it keeps laying eggs. The issue is that it is a ten year old piece of software. it has been iterated on for every month for years. It’s gonna be buggy. That’s the nature of the spaghetti-coded beast, and it’s so far from unique to this game.
Doing more work to make sure we're getting the word out in more visible places, now with admin tags back it'll hopefully help information surface even better!

They certainly pop more on Mobile Version of the site, which is a very good change ^^
