I believe they don't have the tech to reverse crystal openings.
At the very least they could remove those 20 sigs from gamora, and refund his purchase or refund like 90%. We all know the many times over the years players abused bugs to get large amounts of free rewards that were never taken back. Hell, they could take those entire champs he opened from the paragons, the 5 and 6 stars and he probably wouldn't even care as long he he got his 9500 units back.
To revert they need everything still their once u use any of the stuff from bundle u can no longer be refunded
I know, just saying it's a bad policy.
As someone who works 2 jobs in retail, it's people with your attitude that we despise the most. People like you think policies shouldn't apply to you and get angry when you can't have your way.
Get over it.
Dude, there's really no reason to be this nasty over this.
If you don't open paragon crystals ever and you suddenly have 10, you don't ask questions? If it's taken a year+ to collect 9500 units and you don't see them when you login, you don't freak out?
Not everyone is as observant as us. For all we know, the player could be a bit on the older side.
For the 10 random Paragons, I honestly can say that there's a decent chance I would've just assumed they were from random Quest. I definitely would've noticed the Units being missing, but that's just me.
He has hundreds of crystals that he doesn't open every day. I myself have no idea which crystals I have until I check every couple weeks. If I had gathered 10 paragons from quests, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw them in my crystals.
You still never told us why he left the alliance. Did you guys boot him cause he’ll be unable to make banquet minimums without the 9500 units?
"This morning an alliance mate who I've known for around 8 years quit the game"
"He grinded for a year to get these 9500 units. He was saving them up for the banquet like he does every year. It's super demoralizing for your year of work to go down the drain because of an accidental purchase"

I don't think I'm more observant but I think I have what is probably considered an OCD. Red notifications drive me insane. I can't keep crystals. My tabs have to be clear.
But I was just replying to OP saying that alliance mate doesn't buy them so my logical question would be to where I got them.

What content has Paragon crystals?
Pretty sure some story content does as well.
Act 6 drops OG cav crystals. Nothing I see has Paragons. Weekly legends crystals would be the only place.
My first reaction? I've never bought anything by "accident" in 8 years of playing MCOC...or in the real world. But after skimming this thread it seems like that is a thing for more people than I realized. So maybe a "confirm" button isn't such a bad idea. 🤔
It's only a bad policy if it goes against you. They have to be able to take everything back. If you used it, they can't take it back.
Tons of places have these policies. As someone who works 2 jobs in retail, it's people with your attitude that we despise the most. People like you think policies shouldn't apply to you and get angry when you can't have your way.
Get over it.
It's a bad policy either way. I don't expect anything will happen, just hoping in the future kabam can add a confirmation dialogue after a large purchase to be sure you're not mistakenly buying something you don't want.
Also the policy is bad because it's painfully obvious this was a mistake. He never buys paragons. If you think he decided out of the blue to buy 10 paragons, but instead of spending 2k units he would actually spend close to 10k units for them and then hope to get a refund, then that doesn't pass the smell test pal
It's not a bad policy. They do it to keep people from opening crystals, not liking the results and then claiming it was an accidental purchase.
There really isn't an excuse for him opening the paragons. The crystals you get for the calendar are under the shards tab. These would be on the first crystals tab.
It doesn't make sense to not realize that you have 10 crystals that you didn't have before.
Of course it makes sense. There’s rewards all over the place: objectives , milestones, emails , crystals that reward crystals and various stores. Do you keep an inventory of every single crystal you have ?
Pop up offers that appear immediately when you login, and have buy buttons right in the middle of the page, are a terrible design & there’s no pop up confirmation that you’re about to buy something.
There’s been other threads from people who unknowingly bought these packages. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes… try empathy for once.
The issue here is the guy already opened the crystals from this bundle meaning no refund can happen also how do u click the unit price without seeing a pop up saying puchase complete which at that point if wasnt intended u would go to support also theres an x for a reason and that the buttons are big enough to see
It's where the 4 hour crystal and daily crystal claim button is. It's the point in muscle memory to tap when you login. One can do this without even looking at the screen.
Like I said, Its effin on top of the free 4 hour crystal button.

I fell into this trap today. Went to claim 4hr crystal and it changed to Hyperion bundle. No confirmation of purchase either. Realized when I was scrolling through Crystal tab and noticed 10 paragon crystals. Then my unit stash and realized what I have done. Submitted ticket. Now to wait for the outcome 🤦♂️

This reminds me when i had the hicups an when one hicup came my finger went down an bought 3000 units worth of some cav crystals i was livid Didnt even get a 6* after i decided to jus open the dam hicup mistake lol
Demonzfyre acting like there's 0 paragons in content and multiple people find paragons in multiple places in game. Love it. /r/confidentlyincorrect
I asked a question my guy. I wasn't acting like there wasn't. I was asking because I don't remember what content has it since there's only 2- raids and shooting stars.
Not having an “are you sure” confirmation button on a popup offer is like having a fake X on a mobile game ad to try and trick people into going to the App Store.
It’s useless for people that were going to buy the offer anyways, and anyone that buys it accidentally will just contact support for a refund. Not having a confirmation button only hurts people in situations like these, where they accidentally buy the offer and then don’t realize until it’s too late.

Add a confirmation button. It’s predatory not to
I agree with this, they have a confirmation warning on when we want to sell some embers for gold, so why not when we are making unit purchases?
yes but every time you have to make a decision means there is stop, think, and chance you say now.
its why path ways in casinos are always slightly curved everywhere with no "T" sections or similar. so you just walk and walk on auto pilot past all the gambling stuff. if there were "T" sections and you had to stop and choose which way to go every time you are one step closer to making that choice to leave.
After so much error, Kabam has still not put a double confirmation on it is super expensive offer for what it is. To believe that it is done on purpose, it is incomprehensible on the part of Kabam. Myself, I have this concern or I had lost 9,000 units, but I did not claim, because my son had opened the crystals. Kabam, put a purchase confirmation or a double confirmation when it is so expensive.

But I was just replying to OP saying that alliance mate doesn't buy them so my logical question would be to where I got them.
If you’re just blindly tapping then maybe?
You have to be pretty stupid to “accidentally” tap that offer.
But after skimming this thread it seems like that is a thing for more people than I realized. So maybe a "confirm" button isn't such a bad idea. 🤔
Didnt even get a 6* after i decided to jus open the dam hicup mistake lol
It’s useless for people that were going to buy the offer anyways, and anyone that buys it accidentally will just contact support for a refund. Not having a confirmation button only hurts people in situations like these, where they accidentally buy the offer and then don’t realize until it’s too late.
Add a confirmation button. It’s predatory not to
It’s pro-player and pro-Kabam
its why path ways in casinos are always slightly curved everywhere with no "T" sections or similar.
so you just walk and walk on auto pilot past all the gambling stuff.
if there were "T" sections and you had to stop and choose which way to go every time you are one step closer to making that choice to leave.
To believe that it is done on purpose, it is incomprehensible on the part of Kabam.
Myself, I have this concern or I had lost 9,000 units, but I did not claim, because my son had opened the crystals.
Kabam, put a purchase confirmation or a double confirmation when it is so expensive.
This is getting ridiculous, as it’s unnecessary additional work for Support team to have to do refund requests.
