So punish the alliances that used items and pushed for the win, solid
It would have been nice to know much sooner that it wouldn’t have counted so those who didn’t want to push could not have pushed.
It still affected war rating, which may or may not matter for some. The new scoring system makes being in a tier below for even 1 war almost impossible to overcome.

Indeed war rating is very important which is why the first off-season war issue that was ignored is arguably more important then this current issue.
I’m not usually one to cry for compensation, but this is a pretty big mess up. Alliances pushed and used resources for a war that won’t count. War rating has been screwed up now twice in 2 wars that don’t count. The state of AW is definitely not in a good place right now.

Absolutely. Those alliances who were on the border between tier 2/3 or 3/4 got hosed as a result. Mathematically they can win every war and still finish a rank below where they should.
Issue is they have never figured out how to fix war rating when issues like this happen, it has longer repercussions then a single war counting or not they need to figure out how to handle war rating it’s been long enough
Wouldn't be surprised if it didn't count season points because the matchmaking took place off-season. Would be willing to bet that Kabam successfully broke even more by not touching things, rather than Kabam figuring out how to cancel the points from counting. Heck, they still haven't figured out the point removal from a couple seasons ago.
This is getting frustrating. We got bounced from T3 in offseason. We lost -33, now gain that back +33 and still in T4. 3 weeks of lesser rewards and now 300K points short in first war. (Could be 600K with another win).
I thought some of the top allies would have made a bigger deal of the war rating change in off-season.

Top alliances so far into t1 it’s less of an issue, it affects the alliances that are in the borders
@KabamDORK While I understand that Kabam might want to ascertain how many alliances were affected, it would stand to reason (at least in my view) that even if only one alliance was affected (and we know it was many more than that), then the war should not count, as that would be fundamentally unfair. The issue has now been exacerbated by the delay, because we have now matched for a second war based on a change in war rating that should not have been allowed to stand. Respectfully, I am struggling to understand why a definitive decision wasn’t made and communicated to everyone prior to the conclusion of that “first” war.

Alliances that did get to play a war with their usual setup didn't even get points, so they don't even have to figure out who was affected. This war was ruined for everyone.
@Furrymoosen Apologies for my confusion, but are you indicating that the war did *not* count? If that’s the case, was that decision communicated elsewhere? All indications I see in game are that it counted.

Yes, the war did not count, but I don't believe it's because Kabam chose to make it not count. I think because matchmaking began before the season started according to the timer that it actually counted as an off-season war. Of course that doesn't help with the war rating, but whatever they did in not setting the season up properly impacted everyone. Whatever is going on is weirder than we first thought and they probably haven't figured out a lick of it yet.
Our war rating was impacted by the loss. Were other alliances not affected?
The war counted for war rating for everyone, but nothing else. This is probably the biggest kerfuffle that's happened with a single war. No one benefitted.
@KabamDORK@KabamPinwheel We didn’t match for war because of the delay in the season starting. We set it as off for the offseason and 3bg during season. Matchmaking started with offseason settings. Hopefully this war doesn’t count or our season is already ruined.
Checking back in here to see if all is good on this front for your ally now, and also for the wider group here.
Now everything is back to normal now. We just macthed for war today. However, there is still the issue that we did not match for the first war because the system was initiated on off season settings. So that complete loss of points will significantly affect our entire season. That's why I was hoping that wednesdays war would not count to the season totals.

There were simultaneous issues happening there. We're still working on the loss of points aspect.

Are you talking about loss of points after taking part in war which has happened or the apparent loss of points due to not matching up?

Both of these actually. Working on a wider message that I'll share out hopefully in a bit.
Node 12 path 3 autoblock issue.... It definitely feels like the autoblock is occurring more than 40% of the time. It doesn't help when players place enchantress on that node and the orange prompt shows up. I got burned by that rng. Hopefully kabam can address this issue. Can't be wasting resources like that at the beginning of the map
Sorry but, what does mean "we'll be awarding a BYE"?
Um yeah I have the same question do they get the full points for a win with a full donut (150-0)? Cause that seems extremely unfair but it would be unfair to give them anything less because you dont know how they would’ve performed
Ig I don’t 100% understand how you could manage a fair calculated result giving allies a “bye” vs an ally who lost during that war who actually had to participate and use resources. This solution seems like a lose lose.
What about alliances who had the wrong number of bgs because it started matchmaking as an off season matchup? What about ones that had zero for off season and didn’t participate because of that?
Your explanation is missing several of the key scenarios. I don’t understand why you just don’t cancel it and start the season over. It’s the easiest and most fair thing to do. And give some compensation if potions to everyone.

Sounds like a reasonable fix
