Y'all crazy lol He's a beast - needs Recoil.. thats the main reason people don't like him is they try to play him without them (Remember, his red numbers are based on his initial hits..hits 60-90% harder with Recoils.. then take that number and then add an additional 180% direct damage at full ramp)
He shrugs his LC at start of fight so that's 3 charges and the matches you wanna use him for he'll ramp naturally without sp1.. sp3 is the way (180% red number after the animation ends + incinerate)
New Hazard Shift: Poison/Rupture.. guess what.. he net heals from the Rupture 😂 (his heat charges give him massive physical resistance - sig does matter)
Not the greatest, but is far from the worst. I enjoy him and he comes in clutch when you need incinerate and poison immunity. He won me this match earlier today.

He needs 5 sp1 to ramp up. And even after full ramp his damage is nothing crazy, it's just good. And no utility except immunities and, "beinga science , not dependent on debuffs". But that is more of a problem then utility.

I don't even use sp1 unless it's to kill the defender if they are nearly dead from basic attacks 🙃 You want to use him against Mystics Energy Champs (btw, there's a whole lot of those in the game now) and any fight that will attempt to place incinerate or poison debuffs (he cannot shrug passives)

I mean, my other option would probably have done 30% and then got clipped by the sp2 and died. Being able to bait sp1s with no issue made the fight relatively stress free

Used him in AW just now haha.. here's a medium attack and an sp3 Sp3 he's actually only at 8 charges Look at the combo meter.. only 9 hits in on scream and 33 on Sassy (didn't lose combo at any point) Sassy is at 9 charges (his incoming damage is greatly reduced here)

Switch out the SP2 for something with more hits and proc 1 Incinerate per 2 Heat. SP3 consumes each Heat charge, poison or incinerate effect for a Regen.

Yeah don't disagree he could use an update, of course.. and those are decent ideas - definitely need his sp2 to actually do something.. I was thinking something that raises his crit rate as he gets charges - dot on hits is good too

Yeah, a lot of the aw map "updates" were Corvus nerfs and the Hazard Shift changes were designed to "give newer champs room to shine" I believe was close to the quote.. (older champs become less effective via content and character design as they need newer champs to have some value) Though, I was happy to see that my theory was correct and he is still a top option for node 44 (heals from Rupture at decent sig level)
Eh.. tried to post some AW footage but it keeps going to review He's an excellent war attacker (with Recoils).. that's why I like him - that and his character model/animations seem to provide both light and medium intercept advantage If you're someone who loves BGs but doesn't care for war.. and never plays a Recoil build - you probably won't like him.. he's a war attacker imo and War is still my favorite game mode

You could have gotten The Leader. Red Hulk is way better than The Leader. He’s not like top of the tier science Titania but he is serviceable. Not to trash on The Leader…

You literally doesn't need high damage anywhere except bgs. Other content prioritize utility over damage. It's pointless to rank up for bgs, bgs have the worst rewards possible. Not talking about red hulk though, he have neither imo.
