MD was the only thing saving the value of Mystic defenders. I actually like the change but my R4 Dorm is going to be useless on defense now. I’d have never taken him up.

I appreciate the change and my refund on units. What I really want back are my four T2As though.

And anybody saying these changes aren’t significant to warrant at least one class specific RDT are being disingenuous or they’re just uninformed. This is a huge nerf to that mastery and the class that depended on it for maximum value.

AQ Boss didn’t have MD and wasn’t awakened. So he’s unaffected by these changes.

MD is still fueled but expiring buffs. She will still fuel MD as she did before.

Wonder why they just didn't change the dex mastery to not trigger MD, this would have saved everyone the trouble of asking for (Rightfully so) RDT, it would have saved hours of man power on the developers side and no-one would have really been that bummed about it.

I think Juggs gets hit the hardest. In my experience he relied heavily on forcing people back to the wall and made them evade constantly.

Dorm won't be as effective, but he will still trigger his degen and I think his aggressive play style can catch people more than Juggs.

Not true. That still lessens the effectiveness of Mystic defenders. They were difficult because you couldn’t dodge them without giving them power. There would still be reason to complain.

So you watch him be shelved on defense because he is significantly nerfed by this decision and then what??

I surely would NOT R4/R5 him given these changes. And I do think those that did, deserve RDTs

Kabam team please stop making this game unplayable all this changes are not healthy for all many us rank up champions based on MD now for war strategy u name it can u guys address what will happen with all those champions refunding MD cores only won’t help us for anything

There is no "bug" you're straight up changing gameplay to take away advantages of certain characters. I've had MD ranked up for well over a year now and developed my team in such a way where I rely on mystic champs. You're stripping my team away where my advantages no longer hold strong and that is not fair.

Why didn’t you just remove the Precision Buff from Dexterity?
This is something we considered, but we want to maintain the relationship of 2 of the most popular masteries (Dexterity and Parry) being tied to a Buff and a Debuff

This is so they can continue to screw players over with masochism and buffet. Nice...classic Kabam.

We improved mystic characters because of dm. Concerning myself magik to r5, I spent all my loyalty to buy and dup unstoppable colossus, and used an awaking gem for mephisto.
Seriously guys, i wouldn't have do this if i knew you will nerf md.
So it would be normal to get back, rank down tickets and a 5* gem

I ranked up my hulk rag to 4-55 just for dormmammu. With current dextirity, hulks face me ability gets active almost always and this reduces taken damage by %80 and gives him more attack. I think after the update hulk rag wont be as usefull as him designed.

You didn't spend units on those Cores if they were gifted to you. You're lucky they're giving Loyalty for Cores obtained that way. Or am I misunderstanding and you want the person that gifted you the cores to get their units back?

Whats idiotic is how long it took to make these changes. Like everything else, you ignore the player base for months and months and months, then once they adjust to your idiotic system you change it and won't compensate for rank ups, etc. Personally I don't need rank downs for this change, but I don't blame players who are upset about it.

I like and respect you as a player but you are wrong here. MD is a add-on that you make a choice to invest in. Dorm is still Dorm if you take away MD. Even with the changes, he will still be good. They took away the effect Dex had on MD and that's it. It all acts the same it just won't make the mastery overpowered like it used too.

As for RDTs...OK. In the big picture, it is entirely possible for both sides to be right about their position.

Mystic Dispersion is a Mastery. No character was changed. So yes, I understand where Kabam is coming from -- that is not an incorrect application of rules and logic.

However, the player base who R4'd and especially R5'd mystic characters...while the characters themselves didn't change, it is not realistic to state that mystic characters were not ranked up because of how the game was, with no particular feel that the mastery would be changed.

I don't need a RDT and am not asking for one. But I do think that maybe Kabam should reconsider the hard no and issue one to people who ACTUALLY HAD POINTS in Mystic Dispersion as of last night.

That's fair, to me. People who actually used it can make a choice, because sometimes the strictest letter of the law isn't the best application of that law.

People who actually used Mystic Dispersion should, in my opinion, get one RDT. And, again, I had points in it but did not use MD, so I wouldn't get one.

It's fair if those folks do.

For years, people have complained about Mystic dispersion being overpowered. This seems like a very sensible adjustment to mystic dispersion.

Tickets aren't for changes to Masteries.

Tickets are for whatever they deem them necessary for. Like a gift during the holidays last year.

If you and another team mate were gifting cores back and forth they were bought with units not loyalty and gifting back and forth = more points in gifting events. So why loyalty when actual units where used for those purchases?

No. Tickets are for major changes to the fundamental way the Champs specifically perform. Not for whatever they like. Some were given at Christmas for the express purpose of getting ready for the upcoming year, as a surprise gift. That's about it.
People Rank who they want for whatever reason they have in the current meta. It's also served them a long time in that meta. Metas change. When you have a Mastery that interferes with basic functions like Evade, and is incongruent with how newer Champs perform, an Update is necessary. Bottom line is, the Champs themselves still perform exactly how they were meant to with or without MD.

When they changed how willpower worked on 12.0 they didn’t change the “suicide masteries” either. But the way they worked in conjunction with willpower was significant enough that compensation was given for those who had invested in LC and DE. How is this different?

Those champs that were ranked up to be defenders are greatly affected by this. There should be options to use those rare resources where they’d still have value.

Why not allow 6-7 days of the MD change and see how many kills Dorm doesn’t get anymore. Then rank down our Dorms, and give us those resources for us to decide if we should invest into him again

No they haven't. One definition of "mechanics" is "the details about how something works or is done". The MD mastery affects how all mystic champions work, that's why players are commenting about having in-game resources returned. Kabam is issuing refunds on mystic cores, why should only that in-game resource be refunded?

These changes nerf Dormammu's AW defender effectiveness substantially. Speculation about this is meaningless if you haven't fought a 4/55+ Dormammu boss in tier 1-3 AW. As previously mentioned, Kabam is refunding mystic cores. That tells us they know the MD/dexterity nerf is worthy of having in-game resources refunded. Not refunding other in-game resources doesn't make sense.

It doesn't affect how all Mystic Champs work. Just the Mystic Champs and MD relationship. The Mastery itself is what's changing, and they're refunding accordingly.
