Basically what you are doing is instilling a 3 month period where no one will go for new champs after release. Why would we waste the money or resources when you can “tune” them however and whenever you want?
Sorry guys are you being serious? We are spending resources and real money on a champs that the only think he has is damage. No immunities, no block proficiency. I used at my cull awakening gem, resources to rank him to r5 and all the sig stones from the 4th of july. And i dont count the spend of 400$ to his crystals. I am serious if you are going not to give us the resources back i will communicate with apple. This is not a behavior of a serious company.
I know there will be a lot of questions about Rank Down Tickets and Compensation for changes, and there already are some. As a reminder, we did say that we will approach these on a case by case basis, and will not be able to make any comments on this yet, because we don't know what Cull's balance pass will look like at all yet.
Also, remember that these changes are restricted to Tuning updates, and are will not change any abilities or utility. Our intention is that if you love your Champion now, you should still love them after.
Please dont speculate what individuals think and do. Base your projects and changes on facts and not speculation.
Oh, please. You know full well people are going to be petitioning for Tickets.
Half my alliance is already talking about walking away from the game. How are people suppose to enjoy a game like this? Who do you rank up? Who do you grind arena for? Who do you build synergy teams around? How can you spend money here? What’s the point of playing if you can’t even get excited about new champs, rank ups, etc.?
I dont get your reasoning Kabam. Instead of nerfing (because thats exactly what these changes coming for Cull sound like, and i really dont care if YOU call it tuning. A nerf is a nerf.) Champions, how about you "tune" mediocre champions and elivate them to actually being able to use them. This is completely asinine and a poor way to approach this.
Furthermore, this makes me not want to rank up anybody in fear of you "tuning" them in a way i do not agree with. This is a dangerous, slippery slope. Focus on champions who NEED to be reworked for the greater good. There are dozens of them waiting for it!
Why not just make champs that can counter balance those champs rather than constantly nerfing champs?
When you have a Champion that wildly outdamages other Champions, and we start making content to counter that specific Champion, this harshly punishes every other Champion in game, and every Summoner that does not have that Champion.
The existing endgame content in game is too much for Cull. I haven't seen a single Act 6.2 video with someone using Cull.
You guys should learn from your sister organization, Marvel Future Fight. MFF does believe in balance and tuning changes, but they rarely ever nerf or decrease the damage of particular characters. If anything, they increase the utility and/or damage of a character. You should do the same. A champion should not be released broken. Last time I checked, Ghost and Corvus still wreck through content yet you keep them the same.
We don't know what changes are coming yet, so let's just wait and see. All we know is he's out damaging other Champs as shown in the data. Which you can easily see, regardless of how hard people say the ramp-up is.

Seriously where?!?! Where are you finding these numbers? Like have you actually used him yourself in endgame content due to poor block proficiency he is typically benched for someone else. So please tell us where you are getting these numbers? And please tell me you aren’t looking at his numbers when he was broken from a bug you created.
Just wanna state it here before people start going straight to google play instead of whining to you guys. But, this altering of champs long after people have given into the hype behind champs and spent real life money is falling dangerously close to deception of our understandings towards how things are supposed to work. @Kabam Miike, you guys might wanna have a look at the guidelines you are supposed to be following and ensure you are not breaking those rules, cause I'm sure many here could argue that they feel highly deceived and or ripped off. https://play.google.com/about/privacy-security-deception/deceptive-behavior/
So let me get this straight. The new policy of Kabam is to release a champion people can acquire through luck, money, and or time, then use the next few months to collect data using the players using them in the live version of the game, then adjust the champions there after? Not to mention shards wasted attempting for these heroes in featured crystals. Do you guys have any idea how unethical and irresponsible this is?
Well, I know Kabam has made changes in the past that got the community outraged. However, as a long time player with a highly ranked roster, including many new champs, this manages to take any desire for acquiring and ranking new champs out of the equation. You are paying a significant premium to acquire and rank new champs, and now it is blind faith that they won't be "tuned" to your displeasure without knowing for months what the developers think or decide. My wallet thanks you immensely, as there is no reason to gun for new champs anymore. Instead of ranking that shiny new champ, I'll hold my resources for when you "tune" Magneto in 5 years...
Also, remember that these changes are restricted to Tuning updates, and are will not change any abilities or utility. Our intention is that if you love your Champion now, you should still love them after.
Here’s the rub, Cull is the epitome of a glass cannon. He doesn’t have much in the way of utilities (the only notable being a anti-evade-autoblock when ramped up) and nothing in the way of damage mitigation with piss poor block reduction. To reduce the only thing he has going for him is a slap in the face of the community who have invested anything into him.
While I understand the effort to try and bring every champ closer to the average, if you keep this up without factoring in the whole picture, you’ll quickly find folks will not be interested in investing in-game or real life resources into any champ until after they pass your adjustment period. That means you may well see many less likely to pay for your early access bundles and featured cavalier. So, good luck shooting yourselves in the foot.

To say he’s simply outdamaging other champs yet disregard his ramp up time is ignorant. Ghost and Corvus outdamage 95% of the champions in the game as they are, with no ramp up.
I thought changes wouldn’t be applied to champs already in the basic pool?
“if it needs a small balance, up or down, we will notify the player base before it enters into the basic crystal pool”
But I can see Cull is in the basic pool, and this is the first we’re hearing about it.
I’ve bought 4 15k featured crystals specifically for Cull and when I get him I ranked him up. Sure would have been nice to know he’s going to be nerfed before I ranked him. Thank god I didn’t decide to rank 5 and generic awaken him. Feel sorry for those more screwed than me.
What this amounts to is that every NEW champ that comes to the game is basically a BETA, and we, your customers then spend our time and $$ doing YOUR testing in game, so you can make the final changes and approve the champ 3 months- 6 months later.

A few points to consider...
1) Maybe the changes are minimal. But...there’s a lot of history here. You’ve played long enough to know this doesn’t occur in a vacuum.
2) Do you find ramp up difficult with Cull? Do you agree that you end up using items getting him to the stage where he deals a lot of damage?
3) There’s no way the team didn’t expect this to provoke such a volatile reaction. People spent crazy amounts of real world money to get a champ that dealt big damage.
@Kabam Miike I spent many units to pull a 5* Cull obsidian and so many resources to rank him up...now I want to rank him down if he will not perform as before! I'll stop buying featured crystals for sure. Now release Rank Down Tickets for Cull Obsidian or people will flood Google and Apple for refunds. Such a bad move.

You are not right, cull have a lot of disadvantages,he have a crappy block proficiency, not too much utility, all he have is really high damage, thats the reason i ranked up cull, and if you are going to take his damage numbers, even by a 100 damgae difference,I want the rank down tickets!!!!!!!
I’m done no more spending for me. Not worth it you guys don’t deserve my money. I dropped a lot of money to get Cull. Hopefully everyone stops spending and the company can file bankruptcy.

This isn't fair at all....kabam has already nerfed once Cull....because he was outputing more damage than intended...and now you are doing it again...but you left him with the same crappy block profficiency and crit rating Kabam will need to hand out specific Cull Obsidian rankdown tickets.... Saying you dont know what Cull's ballance will look like is making me feel uncertain about every decision i will have to make when it comes to ranking up a champion....because perhaps you'll nerf them too.... Considering that a lot of folks spent a lot of real money to buy your Cull Crystals hoping to pull him...and after pulling him and ranking him up...you come and nerf him....and now it seems that he needs another nerf...sorry ballance or whatever you call it... Why don't you just test before releasing new champs and making the comunity ride the hype train????
