Noobs will cry about it but be thankful later on. Everyone's total base hero rating will be higher overall since eventually we'll all have all of our 2-4 stars maxed out. I think it was a fantastic move.
It’s our account. They shouldn’t be telling us wht champs we have to keep. I know the consequences of selling champs and am fine with it when I sell them.
It's a wonderful move made by Kabam. Now I'm just waiting for people to start complaining.
I’ll start. If you don’t want to sell your champs, don’t. This won’t affect you. For those of us who don’t need the same characters at every level, who’d prefer the ISO and shards, this is going to be annoying.

Don't need same character every lvl
Prefer iso and shards
Pick one can't have both, if u want, prefer, iso shards, u need same character in every lvl

Wut? You get more iso and shards by having MORE champions. Kabam know that and hence, this change.

You do realise you get more from duping champs than selling them?
You do realise you get more from duping champs than selling them?
This is very inaccurate. If you sell champs that you have ranked up or even maxed out, you get way more shards and ISO than you would possibly get by duping them once or twice.

Catalysts gold iso u used to actually rank and lvl up??
How is possible for any1 to find any drawback to this change

Kabam forces you to do the right decisions in the Future
I’m not talking about duping. I’m talking about opening a new 3 or 4 star crystal and getting a champ you already have at 5 or 6. For me, I’ll never use them. I’d rather sell now and get the rewards. Especially if I’m close to getting a new crystal. A little shy of a 5* crystal, I sell the 4 I just got that I don’t want and can open that 5. I won’t be able to do that anymore, taking me longer to open new higher tier crystals, sticking me with more lower tier champs I’ll never use.
Not everyone plays like some of you. This won’t affect you at all, so it’s weird you’re talking about how great it is. This will affect me negatively, it’s just my opinion based on how I play.
Edit: or getting a champ at 5 or 6 and having them already as a lower tier. I sell the old one and can immediately rank up the new one. Waiting to maybe dupe later isn’t the same. There’s literally no reason for me to keep a bunch of 3 and 4* I’ll never use in the hopes that I might eventually dupe them sometime in the future. I’m not sure how some of you aren’t getting this.
You do realise you get more from duping champs than selling them?

Nope, not inaccurate in the slightest. If you sell champs you have ranked up or maxed out, then you aren't including all the resources you have SPENT to get them there.
I think it should be a choice. Only 3 and 4* should be allowed to be sold. I will never use my 3* unless im bored and most of my 4* so selling a non duped unleveled 4* so I can open a 5* is way more worth it to me. Afterall it the champs you have collected throughout playing so it should be a choice if you want that champ or not. The only use 4* champs have is iso and shard but the chance of getting that champ that your selling could be months year or weeks.

I had no idea that you spend shards to rankup a champ. Wow. The things that you can learn these days in the forums...

I know you're being facetious but he's talking about general resources, meaning iso, catalysts and gold.
What he means is that the output of items you get as a whole from selling maxed champions are less valuable than the input of items you spend as a whole to max them out in the first place.
Think of it like a car. The minute you drive it off the lot, it’s lost value. You’re never going to get those resources back, but if you used it, it was worth it. Same with a computer. If you get a new one, and you’re never going to use the other one again, it’s better to sell it and use the resources gained to maintain and upgrade the new one. Maybe you’re like those hoarders, or wealthy people with lots of $ and cars, but you won’t be affected either way. Not all of us are like that, and we will be.
I keep some old computers and parts just in case, same with my dad and cars, but keeping everything in the hopes that it might be valuable again someday (when sometimes it won’t be) just isn’t practical for those of us who aren’t on all the time grinding for new resources, when we could just sell the old unused ones for them immediately and reap the rewards.

How do you know you'll never use these champions again? What happens if another V4 situation happens, or things like the old t5cc cav objectives?

Then the people who sold their champs won’t be able to immediately do it. I don’t understand all these people calling for this. This has nothing to do with you. You guys are just wanting to have control over what other people do with their accounts is basically what it comes down too.

Those rewards literally aren't worth selling a champion for. Duping is better and literally gives more rewards in the long term. If most us didn't sell 4 stars, we wouldn't be facing an iso drought. Where do you think BG and ftp players get their iso from? Selling champions? Also, Kabam said they will be implementing more content requiring diverse rosters. What happens when people don't have champions for that? Have you seen what has happened with Variant 4 and One Stars?
Those rewards literally aren't worth selling a champion for. Duping is better and literally gives more rewards in the long term.
You guys keep talking about duping. That’s my point. I’ve had plenty of champs never get duped the entire time I’ve been playing, a few years now. I’m a casual player, again everyone doesn’t play like you. I’ve sold a lower tier of champ when getting the higher one several times and never gotten that champ at the lower tier again. If it’s never duped, it’s going to sit there worthless and unused.
And it will be unused. I still have 1, 2, and 3 stars. Lots of 4s. I sold the 1s in the beginning to help me rank up my main team and clear content, but was able to get more later. I know now not to sell those. I have several of every class of 2, 3, and 4 already though too, plenty of each. I do have some of the same champs at 1 or 2 and 5, but if I have a 5 or 6 I have no reason to also have that same champ at 3 or 4.
AA is a good example. Got him as a 3 early on. Sold others to rank him up because I used him a lot. Some I got again at the same tier, some I didn’t. Being able to immediately rank him up though helped clear content. Got him as a 4 later, sold the 3 to rank him up, get more 4* shards, and rewards from the level ups. Never got him as a 3 again, never duped the 4 either. Just got him as a 5, rinse, repeat. Had I kept the 3 and 4, they would be collecting dust, I wouldn’t have been able to rank up the 5 as quickly, and wouldn’t have gotten the rewards. I have other lower tier mutants if I need them.
I’m not sure what to tell all of you. This is what I’ve been doing and it’s been working well for me. The change isn’t going to affect you at all, but it is going to make things worse for me.
I used to sell 3/4* champs just before claim from arena as it gives me something to actually use all the worthless cats, stones and gems Kabam continue to give us.
A better change would be upgrading Throne breaker stuff so we aren’t get ting pointless materials that have to just sell all the time

Talks about having champs that have never been duped in the same post talking about regularly selling champs. Those two things couldn't possibly be connected....

You can't dupe a champ if you keep selling them. THAT'S the problem here.
