So... I read through a couple of post and saw this comment:

I think that's the problem. The UX Game Experience software that many manufacturer include with their devices. The ban detection software thinks that anything that is running concurrent that isn't the OS is cheat software. I'm using a Motorola phone which comes with "Moto Gametime". It's an overlay that disables light sensor, blocks calls, blocks notification, allows screen capture, screen recording, twitch streaming, among other things.


From other manufacturers beside Motorola that comes bundled from the device manufacturer:

• Samsung has Game Booster: Optimizes performance, manages notifications, allows for screen recording, and provides tools like "Priority Mode" to dedicate more resources to gaming. Some models also have features like "Pause USB Power Delivery" to bypass battery charging and directly power the phone, reducing heat.
  
• Xiaomi/POCO/Redmi (Game Turbo).
  
• OnePlus (Gaming Mode/HyperBoost Gaming Engine).
  
• ASUS (ROG Phone series - Armory Crate/X Mode).
  
• Apple (Game Mode in iOS 18+).
  

REQUEST/QUESTION: I'm curious, for the people that are NOT banned, do you have one of the above things running (or something similar)? From those people, I'd like to know the manufacture of the device and any "game experience" enhancement that is or is not running from the device manufacturer. Perhaps you HAVE the UX software but don't run it.

REQUEST/QUESTION: And for people that ARE banned, I like to know the same. What device you are running and if you are running any "game experience" enhancement software from the device manufacturer.

If you're using a UX Game enhancement software that was not made by the mobile device manufacturer, please clearly state so.

Though I have no data to back it up, I believe that the bans have been legit. I have not seen any regularforum member saying that they have been banned. While I know our numbers are small, if someone that we know had been banned (Bendy, DNA, Viper, Pixie, etc), then I would believe it more. Every account that has said that they have been unfairly banned is either a new, relatively new, or very infrequent poster.

But I will also gladly eat my words if it proves to have a ton of false positives.

Nah, also, if there are 500,000 active accounts, and 10,000 were banned, then that means a 1 in 50 chance someone was banned. Someone who is an active poster on the forums, a more renown YouTuber, or someone credible would have come by now. Even though it's a small population, it still would have happened if these were 'accidental'.

Again, most of these accounts are new or have no history, so there nothing to base what little Internet trust there is.

You're logic is still pretty stupid,I'm fairly known as Moderator in What used to be "Trap mcoc" channel and I got a 7 day ban for using third party apps of which the only logical thing I can think of is a "game booster" which literally only closes apps running in background and clears my cache for unused apps. I fail to see how that "Alters game mechanics" . I have a very good Internet connection with over 300mbs of upload/Download and will still be constantly hit with lag or the red wifi bar unless I use to the booster,which I downloaded from Playstore just like I did mcoc back since 2016. Not everyone has time to literally be posting all the time in forums dawg, your logic is literally whack with all due respect.

Except it's not. Below are some of the people who have come onto forums and claimed they were banned. You can see that the first two (which are the more typical ones) are brand new accounts claiming they've been unfairly banned, which is what we are seeing most of here. Which is why most people don't believe it who are forum regulars.

Saying you're Moderator from a channel still doesn't prove anything (anyone can say that, and you have a brand new forum account so you have no built in credibility like the regulars). That's like me saying I've been mentioned several times on Karate Mike's channel (which is more annoying than you'd guess). Except the forum regulars will believe me because it's happened.

However, I already said that I'm now inclined to believe there may be something more as two regulars (Pri... And septco... -i just can't remember how to spell their unique handles) have been banned.

You basing everything around how long my forum account was created tells me everything I need to know about you dawg,don't sweat it and have a good day!

Guys I think 10k is a very big number, even if 4-5 % of bans are false positives (entirely positive) it's still 500 accounts. A ban of this scale likely have few legit guys getting banned or warned.

That's another reason why this is so weird. You don't think they were surprised at the number itself?... They just said 10k high five and said have a great weekend guys?...

its appalling how they pulled this bs on the weekends, they had no reason for it but they deliberately decided to do it when you cant reach support

This situation is strange, and unlike some dumb hypocrite i am going to treat as a stray dog from now on. I have not sided with anyone. I just pointed out how strange the whole situation is. No one I know got banned, not many people I read in the forums got banned (at least until you posted), no content creator got banned. The number 10k is HUGE, it should even surprise them, but they are standing to their decision based on how they handled it.

thing is I'm under the temporary 7 day ban category so I likely fall under the few thousand accounts they just banned as a warning , i dont even know at this point man

I am not gonna trash talk you like others that think I am siding with Kabam. I do find this strange in a way. The numbers, their confidence, the impact this will bring. Its the last drop either from them or for the players.

this is going to have a huge ripple effect i agree especially because of the way kabam handled this.
The 7 day ban doesn't hurt as much as being labelled as a cheater when you haven't even done anything of that sort.

You are either blind, selective in what posts you’ve read or you just haven’t read through every post on the subject. I have seen several regular forums members who have been banned. Oh, and when I say regular, I don’t mean people with thousands upon thousands of posts or comments or anyone that camps out on the forum 7 days a week, 365 days a year, but regular enough that their usernames are recognisable.
