I see what you're saying, but again I don't feel like this is a particularly unique advantage to this season. Roster disparity between whales and non-whales has always been a point of contention in BGs, I don't see that being much different this season specifically.

I understand that the points system can be frustrating, and if it seemed like this change was going to carry over into other seasons I would also be against that. I've also lost matches this season that I would have won in other seasons, some of those losses have kept me from moving up the ladder. But even then, I like mixing it up every once in a while and letting us try different playstyles just for a season. Personally I think it's fun and makes things more interesting.

I'm sorry you're not having as good of a time, and your reasons for that definitely make sense. I do think this is a more subjective meta. You're a good example of someone who understands what this meta is asking and even though you can win, it's just not as fun. I'm someone who understands what the meta is asking and I also enjoy the fresh change in strategy. I think it just depends on the player.

It’s not endgame just because it fills a void. Sure, at the top end of BGs GC that might be considered endgame based on roster/skill, BUT most players going for a chase piece are not playing “endgame content” to get the piece (VT and Uru). So the argument that BG is endgame content in and of itself is false.

Arenas could be considered endgame by that logic.

Clearly, Kabam knows that PVE players don’t want to do PVP. That’s at least why Kabam isn’t forcing ppl to play AW, and instead made the PVE version of AW Showcase to stick a chase champion piece there. So the logic that Kabam “must” put a chase piece in BGs is specious at best.
