Re: Show Me Your Oddball R4s
Idk if one is very odd, but I think having those three is very odd

Re: Do you still do Incursions? Why or why not?
Do I have time to run sec 6 zone 25 and sec 5 15 after reset? Or should I just push it now? (I saw the three day timer.)
Im planning to buy some 4* for iso lol.
I'm not short but anything below 2k feels like poverty.

Re: Is it possible to reach valiant by never opening a crystal?
Slowest participant of the challenge here, back to give a little update on the 6* I ended up choosing and providing a little reason why.
Now, I COULD have picked either Hercules or Sinister, since it’s been proven that they work well already, but I didn’t want to because I felt like it would be a little boring if I picked the same champion that one of you guys picked, so I opted to look for another option instead. The selector had a lot of great champions in it, anyways.
I initially leaned towards Doom, but I realized that the next big wall I’m going to have to deal with is 6.2.2 Sinister, and if I chose Doom I wouldn’t have a good option for him. I could’ve theoretically used Ghost, but that takes a tremendous amount of skill and I’ve also never played Ghost before in my life, so using her wouldn’t be ideal. This did help me reduce my remaining options, though, since whoever I pick needs to be able to take that Sinister fight. I ended up settling on either Overseer, Guilly 2099, or Warlock.
I was tempted to go with Overseer, since he also has a Hulk synergy which gives him immunity to Reversed Controls, which would be very helpful for Grandmaster. However, I decided not to go with him as I tried playing him on my main account and I wasn’t really enjoying him that much.
This left Guilly 2099 and Warlock as my last two options. Through this decision process I realized just how much their utility overlaps: Robot immunities, heal control, Armor Ups for Havoc, etc. I was having trouble choosing between the two, as I liked Warlock’s utility better but I felt like Guillotine 2099 would be better damage-wise in Act 6. However, I played around with Guilly a bit in Act 6 on my main account and I found the whole “end every fight with a Special 3” playstyle very frustrating, so I decided I had the information I needed to make my decision.

Great utility, can take pretty much every annoying Mutant fight in Act 6, and has Bleeds on his heavy so he could theoretically be another option for that Do You Bleed Medusa. I figured that he would not only be helpful for Act 6, but also a good addition to my roster overall and would see a good amount of use in the post-story future as well.
As a final note, big thanks to this thread for helping me decide between the two. A little outdated, but good arguments and insights were provided for both sides:

Re: Units grinding by average player
@Kabam Miike @Kabam Lyra can anyone please clarify the situation on essence as per above situation
Re: Is it possible to reach valiant by never opening a crystal?
Finally finished Act 7.
So glad that we get the 6 star thunderbolts as well, that will make getting paragon a breeze!
Choosing BWDO, Wiccan and maybe Iron Man from selectors.
Close to another R4 which will probably be Wiccan.
Now comes the Act 8 grind which I will start tomorrow.

Re: Heart Of Fire. Absolutely massive swing and a miss
At the end of the day, the game isn’t ready for 7 Star Hulkling, Hercules, or Cosmic Ghost Rider - and we didn’t feel like any other yet to be released Cosmic was in the right spot for this Event. There was a period of time we discussed adding Carnage to the Crystal so there would be one Champion per class.Points make sense, and Carnage certainly wouldn't have been the greatest choice.
Would that have made this event better?
Ultimately, I felt very strongly against putting an objectively less than desirable Champion in this Crystal, and creating the possibility of a lesser experience for Players opening 1-2 Crystals, simply to have one Champion per Class - so I pushed pretty hard against that.
The way I see it, is that this keeps the Crystal loaded with Champions at the top of their Class for players engaging lightly in the event, while guaranteeing one of the 6 for those going all the way to the end - on top of the Selector that gives a copy of one of the other 5 - creating a much better chance to walk away with all 6 Champions.
But in hindsight, why didn't you guys just put galan in the crystal and put someone else in the titan instead of him?
If you needed skill options, who could've taken Lumatrix's place, you have Zemo, Stealthy and Valk sitting there.
Even then, there's plenty of other choices who could've been the titan champ instead of Galan.
Toad, Nimrod, Viv Vision, Black Widow (Claire Voyant), Cassie Lang, etc, are all choices that could've taken that titan slot, while keeping Galan for the cosmic choice for HoF.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy Galan is in the titan, since I won't need to spend a dime to hopefully get him from there, but, it ultimately just seemed a bit illogical to put him in it while not having a great choice for the cosmic rep in HoF.

There was a period of time we discussed adding Carnage to the Crystal so there would be one Champion per class. The major issue (that i was hoping your comment wouldve touched on is that you guys will be running this similar to how the Omega event ran which required 36k units) and those 36k units doesnt even guarantee you distinct champs. Sure theres a selector but you could get a bunch of apoc/ibom dupes and completely miss tigra or FAM after using your selector on Nick.
Would that have made this event better?

Banquets one redeeming pro was the box and key concept of the gacha because then at least you wouldnt completely be shafted by bad RNG.
If were spending 36k units, at the very minimum it should have better odds than a random 1 in 5 shot.
Banquet for instance gave you 3 out of 6 distinct options for only 15k units. But now were doing 36k for significantly worse odds.
I think this is the major issue , that there was all this suspense hype and buildup for these new release Champs with the rug was just swept right under with how they were going to be marketed
I'd love to hear your thoughts about this or @Kabam Crashed
