Some other potential countersHulkling probably wouldn't be great. The wither would reduce his power gain and he doesn't have a lot of hits in his specials, plus going Unblockable would be actively bad. Yelena would probably be good, but basically any character with a lot of combo hits would work
1. Valkyrie, just hit his block, no need to break block
2. Yelena: gains combo fast plus has endurance
3. Lumatrix?
4. Hulkling?

LOL!!! Create new mechanics that do not work with AA then just throw them right out the gate when a new defender comes to town. Love this.Ohh well they'll probably think of something after all "unfair mechanics leave room for new design spaces and mechanics".To add insult to injury, going Unblockable is penalized as well.
Now the floodgates are open for Evade that ignore Pursuit and Unstoppable that ignores Grit.

I understand why they created a 5/5 science defender but honestly on first glance he seems more limited in options than serpent had at release.

That being said, Mantis might be the best counter ON PAPER as her tranquilize is the strongest in the game and should work in preventing his debuffs.
I know they're probably setting up endurance to be the next skill trope but I honestly think tranquilize is the future of the skill class. It's actually so powerful especially with 100% potency.

How Many Defenders?
Firstly I think the game needs tough defenders. Furthermore, I think the science class has needed a tough defender for a while now. Enter High Evolutionary. Here we go again. My issue is the frequency. We are getting too many super restrictive defenders too soon. Even new champs that aren't promoted as defenders have defensive threats. The new defenders are extremely restrictive with regards to who can have success against them. Now we're throwing questing nodes into kits left and right. Where is the skill ask. We've gotten to the point of either you have a counter or ban or you're screwed. This allows Kabam to create and sell new attackers and make money. I get it. Again its just the frequency and tuning for me right now. Maybe give us a short break from super restrictive defenders for a bit. Allow us to adjust to whats here now. Again I know tough defenders with new kits are healthy for the game but its just too much all at once.

Lots of hate in the comments section which i guess is the forums MO, but heatwave + WOF had me close and High Evolutionary did it for me. The cheap mechanics geared at eliminating options in your roster has just gotten to be too much. I’ve spent a lot on this game over the years and for the first time since i took an extended break im down to no spending. It just always feels like a step forward (radiance) comes with 2 or more steps back (heatwave, WOF, High Evolutionary). Maybe this is just me, but the mechanic that unblockable hits from non skill champs dont count towards reducing the counter for the cassie-type damage is just not fun. Its solely geared at driving selling counters and devaluing current rosters.

No bro those spenders spend for their own pleasure or because of addiction or flex not at all because they want us normal people to keep playing. People are actually spending HUNDREDS of dollars, enough money to get yourself an international vacation with fights and hotel included or a full on game console annd professional games if you are not the real world type and for what ? Freaking units and maybe a champ and some materials? It’s insane . Even if you are rich it’s insaneIt doesn't make sense for you to continue playing a game in which you don't even support other players who spend in this game that keeps the game operating for 10 plus years
Who pays for Kabam's staff salaries? Insane isn't the right word to describe spenders who are rich and can afford to spend and support a game they love
You should be banned from the game for criticizing spenders
Without spenders, you won't even have this game to play in the first place

I have always been a F2P. It just doesn’t make sense to me to pay for stuff inside a mobile game which I can get for free a bit later anyway . And the sheer insane amount of money people spend are insane . People are actually spending HUNDREDS of dollars, enough money to get yourself an international vacation with fights and hotel included or a full on game console annd professional games if you are not the real world type and for what ? Freaking units and maybe a champ and some materials? It’s insane . Even if you are rich it’s insaneThe people that are spending that kind of money have more than they know what to do with anyways.
