Re: The Huge dependence on raids should have been announced earlier
I agree. As an alliance leader in a fairly chill and non-committal alliance, we usually just run one Raid BG each month. Since we often struggle to fill that one BG, I didn't really think of setting up several Raids BGs for the Raids month. I just assumed that it would be the same less-than-ten alliance mates who ran it all month long. However, since we got a bunch of free tickets and since so many points for the Realm Event is in there, we had a surprising number of alliance members who wanted to join. To the point where not everyone fit into the first BG I'd set up. I did change it so that we have more BGs set up going forward, but it was still pretty annoying to not be able to accommodate everyone who normally don't do Raids but wanted to hop in due to the current circumstances.
I have absolutely no problem with Raids being an important part of the event, but a heads up would have been neat. While I knew that Raids Month was coming in, that didn't really change things for most alliance members. That was just more of something that they don't normally play. However, making a fair bit of the Realm Event rewards dependant on Raids completion changed things pretty drastically.

Re: Well, the new Valian gauntlet sucks...
Honestly do not mind this version. Compared to last months version, I like there’s less switching needed and the quests go by much quicker. On that note tho it would be better if they just kept one path through all 6 quests instead of having 4-6 require you to do it twice

Re: New Whale Emote?
No, instead when whales win they will use this emote to show wallet is thicker than skill.
Is it just me or did Wheel of Fate destroy Enchantress’s defensive aura (Battlegrounds specifically)
For me, she was an instant ban regardless of rank or rarity, but after 100%ing Wheel of Fate, its like a gift when someone chooses her as a defender.

Re: The Huge dependence on raids should have been announced earlier
The summoner's fest event has almost a third of its points in Raids.
Why didn't the team communicate this info earlier considering the optional nature of nightmare raids??
They are certainly aware that not all alliances do raid, much less Nightmare raids. If participating in raids was absolutely essential why didn't they announce it prior to the event such as to allow summoners to switch alliances or join one.
Instead they just stayed radio silent on the topic, they let the raid week roll out like normal.
Im not even complaining about the huge dependency on raids, I'm literally asking why were we not informed in advance when the best rewards are completely unattainable without raids.
Luckily, there will be three more weeks of Raids, so your alliance can still get some points.

This made me rage quit incursions

This might be the most cursed hack in incursions, heed my warning and never take this sh*t.
I didn't consider the implications when I picked it up, but holyyyy 5 secs is an eternity. It doesn't sound too bad but you gotta back off hitting them midway through the stun so you don't push them red into sp3. At that point you're just staring at the screen waiting for the stun to go away. AND THIS HAPPENS AFTER EVERY SPECIAL. It ruins the whole flow of the fight when you have to stop playing every few seconds. Oh brother.
Don't even get me started on how the very next room had a boss with the node 'one eye open' (the one where all dmg dealt during stun is reflected back to the attacker). I spent that fight contemplating my life and existence after every special attack cuz I couldn't hit them and had to stare at the screen for 5 secs AFTER EACH SPECIAL.
I'm not about that life, I'd rather quit at room 10 than continue this for 5 more rooms. I'd rather start all over again. And so I did. Lesson learned.

Valiant EQ is disgusting
So I just got a chance to try the new valiant EQ format. At first it didn’t seem that bad, but then I looked for a few more seconds. I can bring in a team of 3 but only use one per fight? Then I have to finish each fight with as much health as possible because the health carries over to the next area. And on top of all that, the rewards have been nerfed. I know people were complaining about how the valiant gauntlet before was not friendly to smaller rosters but this is the opposite of how they should have fixed it. The game is turning into a blatant cashgrab and I hate it. Why’d they even change it???

Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
Why there is a rank rewards if you cant farm points?Because points come with spending money on units
I dont understand
Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
There are ranked rewards, which will be unobtainable unless you payI wouldn't call it pay to win. Sure, spending could be a tie breaker for points, but if you don't do everything, especially Raids, no amount of spending is going to catch you up.There are 300,000 total earnable points, so yes you can reach the top milestone, even if you miss a few.Why do you make everything p2w?
Well, technically speaking $24,000 USD might catch you up. But even among the mega whales I suspect the number of people who will actually do that is very close to zero.
Since about a third of the realm points are in Raids, and my alliance doesn't do raids (much less Nightmare Raids which seems to be required to cap out the milestones) I'm basically out of it. But the event is still giving me a ton of rewards for basically just playing the game more or less as I normally do, so I can't be too upset. I find it ... odd that there's so much emphasis on Raids given their presumptive optional nature - and the fact they are tied to alliances, meaning individual players cannot simply choose to do them just for the event - but I suppose Kabam has its reasons there.
I would call that pay to win
