As a free-to-play (FTP) player in MCoC, saving up Titan Crystals takes a lot of time, effort, and strategy. So when the moment finally comes to open them, there’s a lot of hope – especially with the promise of new champions in the updated pool. But the reality? It’s been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

First off, the Titan Crystal pool update timeline being pushed from 2 months to 3 months already feels like a setback. And when you finally reach the milestone of having enough to open a batch… the RNG slaps hard.

I popped open 6 Titan Crystals and here’s what I got:
🔁 2x Spider-Supreme (dupes)
🔁 2x Spiral (dupes)
🔁 1x Zola (dupe)
🔁 1x Cyclops (dupe)

Okay, maybe the Nexus will give me some luck, right? Nope. The options were: Spider-Supreme, Zola, and Falcon. Again, nothing new.

Tried my luck with 2 more Titan Crystals:
🔁 Back-to-back Cyclops.

Out of 10 Titan Crystals, I got only one new champion– and it’s not even someone worth the grind.

Something feels seriously off with the RNG. It’s demoralizing to invest so much time as an FTP player just to end up with dupes of the same old champs. If the pool is updated, shouldn’t we have a higher drop rate for the newly added champions? That would actually make the Titan Crystal worth chasing and exciting to open.

Kabam, if you’re listening – please consider:
🔹 Higher drop rate for newly added champions in Titan Crystals
🔹 Improved RNG transparency
🔹 Better balancing to make the effort worth it

This isn’t just about luck – it’s about fairness and rewarding dedication. FTP players already walk a tougher road – don’t make the destination feel pointless too.

I think immediately buffing rewards sets a dangerous precedent, leading to begging for even more buffs and less participation if summoners believe they can just wait to do quests for even more rewards. Similar issues pop up when quests are nerfed.

The Contest, for better or worse, runs on FOMO, and removing some of that leads to less participation, a declining player base, and less profits for Netmarble. Even though we'd all enjoy a buff to WoF's rewards, Kabam has almost no reason to do so.

They actually do.... Not doing something about the quest will leave MOST players and I'm right to say MOST PLAYERS with a bad taste, as well as answering your question why will they buff? It's the same reason they buffed Act 5 rewards and now buffing Act 6. It's the same if they can do this to old content for players to make enticing. Then why can't they do that to WOF where everything is mismatched, the rewards the difficulty. Literally no youtuber is doing it enjoyingly. Epoch WAS and is a great content. But this is a straight up (insert your curse)

For some background, I was a player who quit the game back in 2019. I remember how horrible Act 6 was pre nerf. I recently re-joined the game (1-2 months back).
Honestly I wasn't going to complete Act 6 before they buff the rewards, but after seeing how many free 6 star champions you can get as thronebreaker (from calendars, I am not even including super daily event buffs) I decided that It would be worth it even if they add a couple of 7 stars post buff.
Post nerf Act 6 is not nasty (honestly these monthly eq bosses or worse now a days), I could do it with my usual questing team. (r4 6* Doom, r3 6* mister sinister, r3 6* Nick fury were mostly enough).
Just before fighting grandmaster I luckily pulled Juggernaut. Immediately took him to r4 ascended)

After fighting grandmaster with mostly mr sinister, doom and juggernaut I realized that it was mostly my trauma holding me back. I just used 4-5 revives. (I overprepared, now I am overflowing with potions, revives and free crystals).

(I used juggernaut in first phase bcs of easy intercepts, used doom in second phase bcs it was easy to put debuffs, used mr sinister for rest bcs of reverse control immunity)

Act 6 trauma is over now.
A message for those who are still avoiding it: Grandmaster is not difficult any more, Just watch some videos before fighting it.
1. Watch any tutorial for learning his mechanics.
2. Then after learning the mechanics watch some videos with your specific champs. For example: I watched "Act 6 Grandmaster solo with mr Sinister". It helped me visualize how to fight will progress.
