Re: What's the history behind your username on Forums/game and your Champ avatar here?

Midnightfox is a name I have carried and I can’t believe I’m going to say this since the launch of dial up Internet lmao. Yes I’m old. Punisher I have represented since the days of marvel war of heroes where I was lead of punishment after being co lead in marauders and rode out punishment until that game died. Before it died we all looked for a game to join together and rebuild and I’m still here. Can’t say the same for my old alliance mates from war of heroes, but I’ve been here since launch day. So as you see the name and the logo will be represented on me until the day I die. Look forward to reading other stories.
Re: Different take on "The Ban"
I don't think they know, they wouldn't have done it on Friday if they knew.I don't think they took such a bold decision without taking it serious. They probably knew how frustrated and disappointed some people would be and did it anyway.I am not here to argue or debate with others, I am here to speak out against injustice. This wave of bans has hurt the hearts of many players. They are beginning to feel disappointed and frustrated with this game company. Shouldn't this be taken seriously? Can you please stop using the so-called TOS to shut up players? Isn't it the lax TOS that caused this incident?Did you even read what I wrote? You quoted it and everything. Not all people who use unofficial channels to download games do so in order to cheat. People in some regions just cannot use official channels. They download the game because they like it and even spend money to support it, so don't they deserve better treatment?1. For people like us who are not banned do we receive any compensation being amongst cheats for such a long time and some being let go with warning? 🤣 or I guess being faithful or fair is taken granted then. No, and no.
2. If downloading game from any unauthorised source doesn't give any unfair advantage then couldn't a better solution would have been a warning through mail and a deadline for those using - to avoid this chaos
No, its highly unlikely Kabam is going to be rewarding players just for the accomplishment of following the rules.
No, a warning through email would not be better. Kabam has sent email notifications warning players to not use any unauthorized software. That includes emulators, modded clients, or any software not distributed by them. They have sent these out constantly, and yet I keep hearing people say they never saw them. People don't watch the streams, they don't read the forums, and they only pay attention to in-game emails when there's rewards attached.
The problem with unauthorized software or software distributed by unauthorized sources is there's no way to tell if it has been altered in some subtle way. Kabam can't trust the game is doing the right things all of the time, and can't even trust its own anti-cheat systems built into a client anyone could have tampered with.
I've worked in IT security for over thirty years. You can't detect everything. You can't prevent everything. Whether we're talking about games, banks, or NORAD. You have to act on what you do detect, and you have to make sure people can't just keep trying over and over again or eventually they'll get lucky and evade detection.
We keep telling people not to do a whole laundry list of things, and yet they keep doing them. They do them because they don't know any better. Because they do know, but don't care. Because they think they have no choice. Because they think they can get away with it. Regardless, at some point Kabam has to take direct action to not just advise people to stop, but take action to stop them. And apparently that time is now.
This is not about banning cheaters. This is about banning a behavior that enables cheaters. Some of the players banned were probably not cheating. But they were helping to normalize an environment that assists cheating. And that's enough.
I played this game for almost 9 years, and I'm very sure Kabam made some mistakes and underestimated players reactions from time to time. They will not admit most of the time, but they make changes silently. If you remember, Kabam crashed posted a very long article to explain why they designed the banquet 2023 in that way, and didn't admit they screwed up, but they reverted all their 2023 designs in 2024. There are many examples like this.

Re: Some clarification on the recent ban wave
We pay to keep up the servers so you can break TOS and whine about your 7 ban. You’re welcome. In a competitive game where people pay money, side loading an app should not be allowed. Kudos Kabam. But giving players in top rated (competitive) alliances early access to content and characters is?
Paying people who review your game
Giving the best players in the world an unfair competitive advantage is ok? When you and i have pay real money to play. But they(ccp) not only get paid by community members to play (which is fine), but are given early access to all champs which 100% effects the competitive balance.
If you’ve played with a champ 100 times before release. You already know how to counter them, you already know their rotations and how to use them.
Then day 1 hits! Then people complain about want a pain they are to fight against.
Not the ccp players. They go right in their and get free wins at the expense of top money players in “competitive” alliances that are at distinct disadvantage having never seen the defender before… no problem though right? All good that someone who pays thousands a month to get screwed by someone who never spent a dime of their own (non donated) money.. that’s cool though right?
All good that so many to alliances get behind the scenes information sometimes months in advance?
I hate cheaters
But don’t talk about fair competition. There’s nothing fair about the competition. It’s absolutely stacked in the favor of ccp members and their alliances
Battlegrounds is a mess! I’m 0wins - 17L in a row
Kabam devs! You guys really need to investigate what is going on in Battlegrounds. I am 0 win & 17 loses in a row!
I never have full access to my battle deck. It’s always the same 10 champions (besides the ones that get banned). I’m also getting thrown against whale accounts that have massive rank 4 7*s. I only have 1 rank 4 7*. Seriously wtf is going on? What is the battleground system doing?
This is also not a skill issue. Being put against accounts that have higher rank champs = auto lose & waste of time. Nothing is balanced.

Re: Some clarification on the recent ban wave
Why would my main account get banned and not my alt account they are both played from the same phone that I used Google play to download? My main was banned first then my alt the next day. I use a separate apple ipad for each account and only ever downloaded from the App Store. I’m not smart enough to mod or side load whatever that is.

Re: PC Input Delay
Are you using a controller or keyboard. Also are there any specific inputs that you feel are having a delay?Yeah, i’m using a keyboard. I should try the controller again, but i’m pretty comfortable with the keyboard. And it’s as you said, the delay is mainly from the medium attack. I have a red switch keyboard (which means i don’t have to fully push the key down before it registers) but it still feels delayed.
I haven't played PC version since it first released, but I remember my medium attacks having bad latency unless I used the D-pad on my controller to do the medium attack.
The most noticeable aspect of this was deathless vision. I was using him in valiant eq, when i got the phase charge, i parried which activated it but the delay to attack the opponent was so significant that i could barely reach two furries and most often reach one. Typically on mobile i can get to three furies per phase charge.
