There's a reason the "target demo" of most ad campaigns are the age range of 18-49: 18 you're old enough to purchase on your own, and up to 49 are still likely to try new experiences, new brands, new stuff to buy. 50 and up you're set in your ways, very confidant, comfortable and obstinate with your worldview, and more likely to announce Everything New Is Trash and Scares Me and I Ain't Buying It, Make Stuff Great Again, You Kids Respect Me And Get Off My Lawn, Yadda Yadda. He, like myself, are solidly out of the target 18-49 demo, so no amount of skill shaming, open ridicule, or unflattering imitation will get him to stop him having what he considers "fun." Other than forum ghosting him, that is, which isn't our call.

I will say that at least this mid-50s crank is skilled enough to have a few Valiant accounts and is wealthy enough to buy whatever he feels like for his entertainment, so he doesn't represent all out-of-the-demo folks. But yeah, most new stuff sucks. Stay off my lawn, you whippersnappers.
