If you can make an account and purchase stuff its a shame to not be able to join a contest. Summoner showdown is a joke already imo.
Get Munash and other great players the opportunity to join
Shipping anything worldwide is not as simple as you'd think, especially when a massive corporation isn't behind the shipping. It would be a loss for either Kabam or the player in particular, which Kabam wouldn't want to deal with.
(needed to edit this pretty badly after rereading.)
Just wondering, but I will call them as you so madly suggest.
Of 3 streaming sets can’t be the issue. It will cost them around 4.000 - 5.000 dollars. This is 5-6% if their daily revenue.
It shouldn’t be a problem but I see that Kabam states it as a problem.
It's not just the cost on Kabams end. It's the cost those receiving would also have to pay. Its complicated and unnecessary for both Kabam, and the players.

Cheerio!
The other reason is one that has been discussed in the past involving competitions of this kind. Many places have special laws that govern competitions or contests like this, and they can be complex and difficult to honor. Some places require you to register your contest with the government ahead of time and get approval which can take a while, some have special bonding requirements, some straight up make it illegal to do certain things that are perfectly fine elsewhere. Something trivial like Kabam randomly picking a contestant when there's a tie for a spot can make the entire thing illegal in some places.
So it isn't trivial to make a contest like this globally viable.
Very insightful, thanks !
I think you have to be more transparent to the community and players from countries that are excluded from the showdown...
Opening the show up to all countries does not translate to a fair process since countries allowed to participate in the showdown are also able to participate in the show up
