I think there should be varying levels of ban for those poor guys like @Lvernon15 who only ran like 3 times at most a 24-48 hour ban. And then the people that did it like 5+ times the 1 week ban the minor ones should be way less then a week
Yeah, 40 sigs does not warrant missing season rewards, I mean if I actually knew they’d do anything I wouldn’t have done a single run, they haven’t done anything like this for minor things in the past, only huge exploits which 4 extra runs for sigs just isnt
Why you will lose season rewards? The ban is for 7 days
Because a p1 map 7 alliance can keep a dead account there for a week can’t they
I think it's a pretty ridiculous response by kabam. There are several other ways to resolve this that removes the items farmed and doesn't impact alliances, calendars, war season etc. It seems they are overcompensating for the massive bug they caused and are embarrassed.
For the extreme farming (ie 10x +) maybe a multi day ban, but to ban people for a few runs, that's over compensating and they're gonna lose money for sure.
If no employees are at a store, does it become OK to take the products?
Dumb, for that analogy to work the implication is that there isn't people in charge at Kabam lol.
No, the analogy attacks the core attitude: that if it is possible, it is the operators fault if people do it. So if the store doesn't stop me from shoplifting with proper observation, then it is their fault if I just take stuff without paying. Because I don't know it is a crime, after all they could just be generous and giving the stuff away. In fact, I deserve that stuff, all the work I do. And if I don't take the stuff, someone else will and then I'll just have less stuff than them.
This is *exactly* the attitude people are taking about this exploit. Kabam allowed players to do it, so players should be allowed to do it. And it is their fault for not stopping those players. And maybe, just maybe, if you really have to do anything at all, just go take the stuff back and we'll call it even.
Most people don't do this in the "real world" because they know better, and because they are aware of the threat of punishment if they try, and the excuses above don't generally work. The same thing should happen here, because in the end the exploiters aren't stealing from Kabam, they are stealing from the rest of the players. Kabam hasn't lost anything when a player grabs thirty awakening gems. Instead, they've raised the curve of power in the game, which will prompt Kabam to adjust the difficulty of the game over time to that new average.
The *best* analogy is that of a group of students cheating on the final exam, in a class that grades on a curve. They are raising their grades at the expense of everyone else, whose grades will become lower due to the curve rising. That's exactly what happens in an online progression game when one group of players exploits game bugs and gets outsized rewards. Those rewards do not come out of the developers' pockets. They ultimately come out of every other player's pockets collectively, when the game's difficulty adjusts to that influx of rewards.
Anyone who thinks that the players should be happy that someone else is getting something out of the exploit, or those who think what happens to one player doesn't affect them, doesn't understand how online games like this work. We aren't all playing a single player game with a global chat. We are playing a massively multiplayer game where the game environment ultimately reflects the players who are playing it. Cheaters don't just enrich themselves, they do so at the other players' expense who play fair. And that's why the players who play fair should hate cheaters.

So now we want to go easy on cheaters because they didn't cheat hard enough. Cool. Even someone like him who does comment on ban threads, shouldn't he have known better?
Yes, they should, 0 prior warning, plenty of other minor exploits have happened, nothing as a result, people farmed hundreds of revives with that exploit, noting, yet a small amount of sigs is a week ban, at least have consistency
But someone like you should know better. I've seen you on those threads. You know going into that event that you get a key to unlock 1 path. I don't see how its muddied at all. It's pretty clear theres a glitch, especially with the rules for the quest requiring a key to enter.
Worst possible timing to do this. You are taking: SA rewards (twice) AQ rewards(twice) Multiple calendar rewards And you are ruining multiple alliances at once with so many hours banned. Some people didnt even benefit that much from it because they unlocked some of the worst rewards in the island and now they r losing way too much. Potentially getting kicked from their alliances even. Not even mentioning those casuals who dont check forums to know that is actually wasnt intended...
40 sigs and a week ban, absolutely bs, ban people who farmed tons of ags, not hardly useful items, make it like 8+ runs or something, you’ve never banned over minor issues before
40 sigs is what? 4 runs? Dont tell me you did not know you were exploiting a bug after the 2nd run...especially you who’s always in the forum.
This isn’t even the first time kabam have banned people for exploiting things... why you all acting so surprised.
Because it's inconsistent. If you want to use banning as a method of punishment for all violations of the TOS, then you can't excuse smaller instances of exploiting.
This a complete and totally intellectually dishonest argument.
force closes aren't punished like this is because it's because it's gaining items and unlevelling the playing field. Saving 1 revive at the cost of half your health isn't comparable to gaining several AGs or thousands of 6* shards. I know that you know this.
We have real world examples as we, such as a misdemeanors and felonys, and different punishments even within the subgroups.
Even if we go down your road, it's well within Kabams rights to enforce the TOS as it sees fit.

Like it's common sense to just think that if we could run 1 path of our choosing continually it would be broken af.
Imagine just running the AG oath for 35 days straight.
Can you share a screenshot?
why didn't the team try the event before throwing it to us ..
since the fault is yours you should only remove the rewards gained banning peoples for this is not a good strategie and unfair
SA rewards (twice)
AQ rewards(twice)
Multiple calendar rewards

Running a path with an AG as much as ppl could want. But ppl were so blinded by the rewards that they couldn't think how broken the idea is
