I'm not exactly in tandem with this. A warning is suitable, but I'm also not keen on altering the graphics. It's the responsibility of people with such issues to be aware of what they participate in. After finishing my schoolwork, I find it enjoyable to just go play a game, like MCOC, to think about something other than school. It’s really not that big of a deal to have a setting that dials down VFX stuff and it also wouldn’t be a big deal if they changed Psycho Man’s animations to be less flashy. This game used to be fairly friendly regarding issues like light sensitivity. Which is made it a stand out. But they’ve introduced a couple of those backgrounds that those with visual impairments might find hard to see. Not so good.
And recently they are adding more, and fancier strobing effects. A real problem for people that have light sensitive issues. Which on the US, is about 30% of the adult population has something such as migraines or seizures that are triggered by strobing lights. So introducing those will cost them a large market segment. For instance, 4 people in my allaince mentioned having headaches after playing Psycho Man.
So tuning those effects down is a good idea, just from customer service and business perspectives.

As if Kabam's talented game developers and art department has no way to work around making it visually appealing and at the same safe for those who have an issue with it. I do understand where you’re coming from, however Kabam has previously been receptive to feedback from color blind player about issues that effect them. If there is a legitimate issue here , I would hope they would listen.
Honestly, I think Kabam should implement some option for players to control the graphics of the game (in terms of reducing the quality and making animations less demanding for device as well as user's sight).

If you actually cared you would be all for it. Why do you think schools have accommodations for people who have adhd and that. Or why public transport have handicap ramps. Or why there is handicap parking. All these examples inconvenience the "normal" person but no one gets upset because they help people. So why can't you accept that this is something that is needed and helpful.

It clearly wasn’t an intentional effect and let’s be real, dimming or adjusting whatever the trigger is on a champion that has been in the game for less than a week shouldn’t really cause a negative emotional response - if one was ever justified in the first place.
Epilepsy etc. Aside I think bringing in a reduced graphics/particles mode would be a brilliant move if it was possible, for one Kabam would be able to pretty much guarantee that the game is ‘safe’ for those with such impairments but it’d likely also mean those of us with financial impairments (I’m seriously having to consider an upgrade to my iPhone for this game and don’t really want to spend £500), longer access to the game so our devices can handle it.

As it is, I am sensitive to strobe and flashing lights (chronic migraines, not epilepsy) and I just don’t understand why the fuss about lowering or changing flashy VFX.
And to all of you arguing that a slightly less flashy animation is gonna ruin your experience playing the game, don't be so selfish💗.
Dont get me wrong the animations are impressive. But with high brightness and flashing on such a small screen, it can be tough. Animaters were doing what they do, making characters look kick-a**. It is just some community feedback.
You would rather have them stop playing because “games are flashy and they should know the risks” than to even consider a change so that they might have an enjoyable experience as well.
Do you not see how close minded that is? You’ve argued for 4 pages now that it shouldn’t be done and a smattering of “I sympathize”. If you sympathize and are so upset with the recommendations others have made, why don’t you make a suggestion?!?
Surely a company that makes literally millions of dollars from the holiday gifting event can manage more than an entry screen disclaimer.
I do understand where you’re coming from, however Kabam has previously been receptive to feedback from color blind player about issues that effect them. If there is a legitimate issue here , I would hope they would listen.

Pretty much every game I know has this option. Implementing this option in the game would help the visually sensitive users as well as reduce a fair amount of crashes on lower quality devices
Also, I dont wanna blame Kabam now, but what can the users do? If Psycho man causes them pain, they should stop playing? There is no way for them to avoid it. And it is also a bad reason to stop playing after years: flashy animations of one champion. Not even mentioning some may have invested a fair sum into the game
But it's not like the entire game centres around flashing lights, it's not a core theme like in a game such as Geometry Dash. If that was the case I'd agree with all your points. It's one champion that is giving people issues. That's an easy and small alteration that would, let's not lie, make absolutely no difference to the majority of us yet a great difference to some.
