TBH, I quite enjoy Alliance Wars... While many opponents maps may be similar, it varies enough. I do like planning the strategy for our attack phase. It's one part of the game where some thought and team play can really be enjoyable. Successful clears bring a smile to my face and when failures happen it's a good learning opportunity. I don't need a 'trophy' for every war I participate in. Sure - could rewards be buff'd & could health pots and their costs be revamp'd, absolutely. Can't wait for what updates Kabam has for us in the future in regards to war but as of right now, fairly content.
I'd personally be interested if they banned item use.... no boosts, no pots, no revives... go as far as you can into the map and let the chips fall where they may
Not sure if that would ratchet up the stress because every fight would need to be perfect, or bring it right down... i would guess and say the pointy end of AW would be even more stressful but deaths would be more common so taking a death wouldnt be as awful? Certainly i think in the lower teirs it would be super chill.
But im probably on my own there.
One of the revenue makers is the potions and boosts. I don't see kabam or even the players going for this.
1. Make tier1 to tier 3 as heavyweight class 2. Tier4 to tier 6 as middle weight class 3. Tier7 and below as light weight class
Accounts with lower prestige can win season championship with respective rewards.
You mean like having masters reward for heavyweight, middleweight and lightweight classes. Also alliances would have to be locked to tiers per season and they can progress league wise. Might not be the worst idea. The middle weight class would be the EPL though. Heavyweight the superleague.
Yes, in football, tier1-3 is the champions league, tier4-6 Europa League...

That is already happening lol.
No
Currently MCOC AW has only 1 weight class
No way a 2k or 4k alliances would win as season champions
But they also never play them... and the ones that do should be given a chance to improve higher if they're able to get the wins. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with your proposed system, unless it's for the gold 3/s1 guys to not have to play bigger lazy alliances, which is fair.
If the lower alliances want to play in a smaller league and have no shot at platinum or gold rewards, then that's up to them. But some of your posts sound like the winner of smaller leagues should be able to get master rewards, which is crazy.
You need to watch football (soccer) to understand, see one of the post up there.
I understand. But you also don't see people in the English Football League making nearly as much money as people in the Premier League. If it's all about bragging rights of being a champion, that could work (even though people will complain). But if the idea is to give champions of each league the same amount in rewards, then that doesn't hold water, even in your example.
The bottom line is you should be expected to play against anyone who is fighting for the same rewards. Otherwise people will go back to front loading their alliance to gain an unfair competitive edge to get rewards higher than those playing fair.
Naah... in football, lower league teams win the Europa League Cup, whereas top league teams win Champions League Cup at much better price rewards.
is not bragging rights, "bragging rights" came from you not me.
Not so into the metaphors I see. What advantage is there in winning the lower league over the current system?
I already give my opinions, which i believe is good for AW improvement, why you want to ask again?
Well, I am just trying to understand your idea: Let's say we had a gold league, for players in alliances 9.5k-8k. Most players in the league get 1k 6* shards, 15k 5* shards, .5 t5b, 3 t2a, and 3 t4cc, but the winner gets an extra 1k 6* shards, 5k 5* shards, .25 t5b, and a title. Is that what you have in mind?
Yes, you got it.
The rewards can be more or can be less depends on points scored in war, final winner of each weight classes get extra rewards and the Leaderboard.
something like this on the Leaderboard: Winner Master Class - Jedi Knights or ASR Winner Platinum Class - XYZ Warriors Winner Gold Class - ABC Warriors Winner Silver Class - CDE Warriors and so on...
And the winners will be promoted up to the higher class? Lol

I have always thought of this but I am beginning to question it. It would be interesting to see how many people actually spent $ to buy the potion and revives. I believe their money makers still remain to be the offers.
Personally, I was boosted for every single fight in AW last season and still had boosts in overflow. Admittedly, I was not using 30% boosts and that is the only boost that might make some money for them.
I've been saying this for a while now. I really don't think AW is the money maker that a lot of people assume. With the introduction of the superior solo crystals you can pretty much get through an entire season without buying any boosts. I'm sure some people still buy them but I doubt many are buying too many boosts outside the early access bundles and cav EQ bundle which aren't really tied to war.
Pretty much the only thing I've spent on for war specifically since the influx of boosts is war potions bc of R3 health pools and not wanting to use more glory for pots than necessary. You could easily fund that with just regular arena grinding as well.

I can tell you high level wars are expensive so no item use is not going to happen. It is a waste of time hoping for it.

You don't get the highest champions boosts from them I think, the 1hr ones. They are available for cash most of the time.

You don't need the highest champ boosts for most fights. They're also included in the early access bundles and in the Cave EQ bundle which lots of spenders are getting anyway. I regularly have 30% boosts in overflow all while never spending for boosts specifically

Maybe the Winner gets to choose primote or stay
I mean, your system sounds like make a gold league, where everyone gets current Gold 2 rewards, and the winner of that league gets Gold 1 rewards. This way, more people are fighting for first place, as opposed to fighting to be one of many within a bracket. It's basically a similar system with small added benefits to few people. I'm not against it, but I don't think it's the overhaul you picture it to be. It's more of a tweak
I told him we have the same system now, with the exception of his way locking people into rewards when you can currently go up multiple levels per season.
my alliance won't even bother. War is nothing now except let's see which of the same ends up in the top 3. we're doing 50% of War just to qualify for the morsels of rewards at the end.

Is different, my idea enable average players becoming season champion, this current AW is designed for big spenders with 13K prestige to become champion.
A huge different.
And why should average players be able to become season champions?
