It is not a question of no amount of communication, itβs the utter lack of communication. I am sorry, in my profession the easiest way to piss off a customer is to not communicate even if the answer isnβt what the customer wants to hear. The amount of time in between communication here is flat out disrespectful to the player base
A "lack" of communication means little to none. That's not what's happened. They've communicated. They've had a beta. They have been communicating, just not at the frequency you'd like.
It wouldn't take much effort on their part to expand on the weekly in-game message (with AQ compensation) they are currently sending out.
Throw in a small handful of items for solo content. Replace the generic text that comes along with it to something worth reading. Even something simple like...
"- we do not currently have a projected date for the fix. - due to the extensive delay to fix we have chosen to no longer add any extensions to SoP so that this content does not drag on. - other bug handling issues (champ ability errors etc) may not be handled as quickly while we are prioritising the larger issues for the game. "
At least we (the wider community) would feel a bit more in the loop of what was going on which is exactly where you'd want your customers. What we have currently is: "Don't do any hard stuff. Oh, and have a few things to help you with AQ" I'm sorry if anybody else thinks that's adequate (Demonzfyre the troll) but I don't believe that it is

Also the Unity stuff is pure speculation at best, however you're more than quick to vault for it as a means to shift blame away from the company who makes the profits off of the glitches. Also cash is king, so if it WERE a Unity issue, Kabam/Netmarble has the cash to throw at them to get their attention. Whether they choose not to is irrelevant.
I agree it's all just speculation at this point, we can't say anything for sure but I'm sorry, you can't just throw a vat of cash at Unity and demand them to cooperate more. That's not how these these things work. You can't bribe a company. Kabam aren't the only customers of Unity.
But yea, communication from Kabam definitely needs to improve. They started of so promising and ever since the gameplay update, it's been going down and down.
@Kabam Miike any thoughts an another round of questing potions? Its been quite a while and if anything things have gotten worse since this month's update.
We can only put off content for so long, and some things like SOP, we just have to plow through, costing more items than it should.
I don't pretend to think I could solo every fight so far, but I know I could have done it in half the items if dex and parry weren't bugged out. Even If someone is Stun immune... it should at least still count as a block, and not a hit which lets the opponent continue its 5-hit combo.
The past month and a half have been quite the struggle, BUT with struggle has come compensation packages to help us see the light of the situation. And I think we have been rewarded very well with the compensation packages that we have gotten in the past 5 weeks or so. But the question still stands, does the amount of glory (which I believe might just be AQ compensation) make up for the amount of stress, frustration and anger that have come from the Parry and Controls issue.
Personally, I think the glory is a perfect way to apologise and keep us at high hopes. But every one has had the Parry and Controls bug effect them differently, in my case, it hasn't effected me at all (nearly at all).
Some people think that we should get a larger final compensation package when the entire bug has been fixed, and i'm pretty down for it. but I'm not sure if it's really a need, more of a generous thing to do.
IF we did get this final compensation package, I would think we'd see this in each level of progression:
So 5 revives is enough to compensate on all your revives you had to use 'if you have the bug' during your last 45 days and counting? I think Math is hard sometimes
Just to note: Kabam Mods specifically said that they would be working on a final compensation package once the issue has been resolved. So something is coming for certain, but we have no details what or when. I like your suggestion, although for many who have been affected by this issue and forced to spend units to complete content, 5 revives would likely feel like a slap in the face (especially after they got AQ revives every week for 5+ weeks). I was not personally affected as much as some others, but it complicated my Summer of Pain progression. Personally, I would suggest the following (building off your tiered list):
Thronebreaker - x5000 6-Star Shards OR 1 Mythic Crystal + x15 Level 3 Revives and 25 Level 5 Health Potions
Cavalier - x2500 6-Star Shards OR 1x 5-Star Nexus + x15 Level 3 Revives and 20 Level 5 Health Potions
Uncollected - x5000 5-Star Shards OR 1 Legendary Crystal + x15 Level 2 Revives and 20 Level 4 Potions
Everyone Else - x2500 5-Star Shards OR 1 4-Star Nexus + x15 Level 2 Revives and 20 Level 3 Potions
Add on some champion boosts for each package. Players get to choose what they feel impacts them the most. Maybe 5k 6 star shards is not appealing because they just opened a 6*. The mythic crystal represents a chance at another 6*, but could be only 5*. Interesting choices (in my mind) for each of the progression tiers. I increased the rewards overall from your suggestion because Kabam has mentioned that they want to increase the rate of progression for lower level players.
Would probably be similar to the one last year... or was it the year before? Anyone under conqueror got a 4 star nexus and 5k 5 star shards. Over got a 5 star nexus and 5k 6 star shards. Maybe this time TBs will get a 6 star nexus and an awakening gem or something
Let me rephrase your title, you had some mistakes in it:
Do we need another thread about compensation?
This isn't about the same exact topic. I'm saying that I think we don't need a compensation package, but you keep doing what you're doing
I'm usually against most comp because it's rarely needed for super small bugs. This is not one of those cases. There truly people who can't play some content because of the bug like the monthly EQs or AQ. There are ones who are trying and spending resources they wouldn't normally.
Kabam has said to back off the harder content for now. I do expect compensation for things like MEQs. Not act 7 or abyss rewards because that can be done anytime. But I would expect shards for sure. Maybe some rank up materials but doubtful and definitely revives and pots.
We don't need things like 6* nexus crystals or t6b. But there is a need for it.

You mean you don't need it seeing you were not affected at all. The compensation that was sent out was for people who were affected running AQ. Plenty of people were affected and had to step down from higher tiers of maps and do difficult content despite having issues. You could always not claim the compensation if you don't need it, just saying. With regards to your compensation package, I think they can skip the shards and only give items. Compensation is for things you used when the bug was present. Items are what people use to clear content, not shards or cats. Glory, revives and potions are what I would be looking at.
I agree with the above. For many, compensation just needs to be a replacement of their additional costs (units, Revives, heals etc).
However, there will also be players (potentially newly Cavalier) who will not have been able to finish monthly content because of the issues. These players would actually have missed out on quest completion rewards so I believe there could still be shards within a compensation package.
In game mails are already advising players not to take on difficult content. If this content happens to be timed like EQ is then that advice causes missed rewards so I fully expect the compensation to be a broad distribution of shards, cats and potions based upon your progression level.
I think you need to take two things into consideration.
1) The game has been nearly unplayable for some people for almost 2 months now. Even when people haven't been directly affected or have been affected to a lesser extent than others, it has crippled many alliances which affects all players in them whether they personally experience the bug.
The AQ compensation has balanced up that somewhat but I think that even a fix to the bug won't necessarily fix everything that's gone wrong for alliances. People have reduced their participation in events or just downright left the game (whether temporarily or forever, I can't say), and whatever "flow" you had before is most certainly gone by now. We were doing great in my alliance in the weeks before the bug and was just crushing it in both AQ and AW, and now we're down to scratch and will most likely have to rebuild again.
The compensation we've had has been nice, but man, there has to be something huge for me to feel like it's enough. I'm honestly not sure if Kabam can manage that. I won't be angry at them if they don't (assuming they don't completely drop the ball) but I have a hard time seeing myself saying to my alliance mates, yeah, this compensation really was above and beyond what could be expected given the nature of the problem's we've faced.
2) The bug came right as the biggest progression-pushing event in (I'm fairly certain) the history of the game was going on. Even without the bug, the event has been stressful all summer long for a lot of players. Add an inability to not even do the most basic things in the game and...I can't imagine how hard some of these fights must have been.
As a Thronebreaker, the rewards I'll receive are nice but not game-changing. They won't push me significantly towards the next progression title, whatever that may be. However, this was a great chance for Cavalier players to become Thronebreakers. How many Cavs have not been able to defeat the necessary bosses for that to happen? Or have been able to, but with a huge amount of unnecessary stress?
You can't ignore how the year's spiciest rewards (I think? Outside of the Gauntlet, perhaps) were missed out on or cost way more resources than they should have, simply because of the bug. This is something that has to be compensated as well. I personally haven't missed out on anything but I can see how especially Cavs could have been affected greatly. We've also heard stories of Uncollected players that tried to push for Cavalier to try their luck in SOP but couldn't because of the bug. This bug really messed up a lot of people's plans relating to this.
So with that said, what can be done? Well, I have no idea. But the game has been completely dead for two months and Kabam really need to figure out how they are going to reignite people's interest in it.

Yeah the trouble is that people ask for compensation for the game going down for 5 mins and it just makes the whole compensation conversation on the forum like the boy who cried wolf.
This is a genuine need for compensation, but people need to remember that Kabam decide compensation mostly on what you miss out on due to the issue. Thatβs what they mean by βmeasuring the impactβ. They figure out what the bug has caused you to miss. There is a small addendum that sometimes there is extra stuff added on as, I suppose, a small apology, or a βfor your troublesβ type thing. But I would be immensely surprised if that amounted to something like a 6* nexus which had been thrown around by some people.

Agreed. People want T5CC and whatnot and I just don't think that's going to happen. Get that SOP is timed but I don't see Kabam giving rewards to people who didn't try or went in once. You can practice as much as you want for an entire week to get the timing down. We'll get revives for sure in the comp so if you want the SOP rewards, that's the place to use them. Not Cav difficulty.

To your point regarding shards. I wonder how much and how in depth the data will be reviewed post bug fix.
I say this as if people heeded kabamβs advice and did not do harder content while the bug is in play they actually did miss out on some shards. At least the difference between the level the normally do and the lower level of content

I need to make this clear, I don't think I need this, but some do.
