2champion limit and at least once per path the game takes over my phone and I'm dead. The game is basically unplayable....I used to cruise through cav monthly and since I'd say early summer I struggle to beat it itemless and my team has gotten 10x better.....doesn't add.up
In addition to my earlier comment, I remember a time when SQs were at a difficulty beneath their EQ counterpart, regardless of their supposed difficulty. Those SQs were fun. I miss those SQs.
If I had one more useable champion on my team I could probably get thru Legendary without revives. Having to waste a team spot on an unusable 3* makes no sense. Why not just force us to use 2 champs if you’re going to do that? These fights are too long, the bosses too difficult with only 2 champions.
Thanks to those of you who continue to provide useful and helpful info. We're definitely talking about it over here!
Don’t take this the wrong way, but after the whole Guillotine fiasco, the way you said that makes me think you are trolling us. “Yep, we definitely talking about it over here guys!”
They don't troll people. Feel free to dislike the content, but they're simply letting us know they're listening.
I used to enjoy side quests, but over the past few months I’ve lost interest. I didn’t really do August with all of the different objectives. I did grind out the Cav objectives in September in order to gain access to the October event, and I hated every minute of it with very lacklustre rewards for the grind. October’s cosmic horror quest was pretty fun, but in order to complete you had to grind out the other quest in order to get the catalysts required to rank up the symbiote. That other quest was extremely repetitive and boring with fights that could sometimes be quite annoying.
Now this month they’ve limited us to 2 champs for 2 out of 3 paths in each quest, with some fairly difficult and sometimes slightly niche fights to deal with. The way side quests have been handled this year in general, I’m concerned with how future side quests will turn out, as they used to be fun but now feel like more of a chore.
I hear Hello Kitty Island Adventure can be a suitable game for some... Its hilarious some players ask for challenges, then the challenge is given and they will cry over difficulty or rewards... If u want everything handed to u maybe try another game...
This month's SQ is ridiculous. I won't even be able to finish Epic this week. While I'm definitely not a top tier player, I am Cavalier with a solid collection champs. I was finishing SQ Legendary level without too much difficulty until last month and this month. Honestly, in my opinion, there's been very little fun content in this game the past 3 months.

100% agree on little fun lately. This was the first game I’ve played since I was a kid and this used to be a fun & addicting game. It’s turned into a complete monotonous grind fest and a complete resource grab, on top of all the bugs & errors that plague the game. Such a shame.
Thanks for sharing your observations regarding the side quest difficulty. We're going to bring this back to the team so they can look at their past data to see where, if any, the discrepancies are, or if there was reason for any changes. Meanwhile, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Please continue to let us know if you notice any patterns to this.
The pattern is this: 1. I go in with my two-three strongest champs. 2. I see a path filled with high pi champs and insane nodes 3. I look to see gated paths. 4. I gulp my soda, blast my music, and give it a try. 5. I die from fun and interactive damage + my wifi on my phone being bad. 6. I chuck said phone across the room. 7. I say bad words. 8. I sleep. 9. Back to step 1.
A little bit exaggerated but you get my point.
Also, not to sound pessimistic or anything, but y'all say that you're checking it with y'all's team but we usually never hear an update. This has happened many of times which is why I bring it up.
I'll list the problems that everyone had probably said already.
- Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't mind a challenge IF the challenge and the rewards line up. If anything, all the difficulties are harder than they should be, as if they're shifted back a bit (master feeling like Uncollected, Uncollected feeling like Cavalier, Cavalier feeling like thronebreaker, etc). The rewards don't fit the current difficulty is what I'm trying to say.
- The character limiting and the gates.
- Having to rely on the best champs in the game rather than expanding my roster (this right here is why some of the variants are some of my favorite pieces of content in the game)
The fixes:
- take the gates and limiting champs away. - insane boosts similar to Act 7's 6 star boosts, the Sentinel boost from variant 3, and the villains boost from variant 6 for future side events(just spit balling here but if the next event is X-Men related, how about the side event HEAVILY boosts X-Men characters). What if the Eternals that we got as 3 stars got the treatment Deadpool got in Variant 8(bugs aside) where they were boosted so heavily they felt like using maxed 6 stars in this side event? That would've been good. - Difficulty to fit the rewards/lower the difficulty.
Honestly this week does feel significantly more difficult, especially with the two champion team. And that's fine by me if the rewards scaled up to match. The rewards are just really lacking (what else is new) when compared with the challenge presented. I know it's one thing that'll never change but giving the bare minimum rewards isn't necessary here, let people feel like the challenge was worth it.
Luckily I visited forums before entering SQ, Helped me mentally prepare for the long fights. Took it slow and had no issues. The 500% health lane was slowaf. Atleast it was just one quest and its done now.
By far the worst side quest, rewards not worth difficulty, crazy snoring defenders like Terrax, hype aarkus darkhawk, etc, and we have to explore all these to get the objectives done! 😵side quest rewards!
lmao the rewards per difficulty is actually horrible to an extent beyond everything im not playing mcoc this month anyways and taking a break this is a good month to take a break 500 fights for the world end objectives, what? do you know what 500 arena fights are? i do an entire arena grind of an hour and see the objective not even scale up to further point this is, as i said, a good month to take a break
U do realize its a month event?.. u dont need to finish right away... U dont do 500 fights within a month?...

Last few have just been too difficult to the point of not being fun.
Had to use a revive though at annihilus
