If big TB players get absolutely railed by not having Paragon this early then this will be such a scummy release by Kabam. TB release: October SOP release: June (and had Gauntlet before this too) That is a sizeable timegap to reach the endgame progression title, whereas it seems like both EOP and Paragon drop at the same time and hypothetical EOP objectives are used as a carrot on a stick to get people to spend (huge amounts really). I am more anxious than excited by this if I have to be honest.
You forget that SoP was supposed to be released before the TB title. It was pushed back an entire year. You also forget that TB was originally supposed to be tied to Act 7 with Act 7's original intended difficulty level.
Kabam made it pretty clear in the Paragon announcement who this title was for. People like you and your new fan @Polygon want to fit a larger group into who this title is aimed at. This new title was specifically designed to give the players who have been at the top for a very long time, something else. Even the few F2P. If you haven't been running top 45 map 8 or participating in plat 1 or above AW this whole time, then the title wasn't meant for you.
It's no different than TB. Many of who had TB day one were running map 7 w/epic mods and those who were complaining about not getting TB, didn't want to do map 7 "because it was too hard or time consuming". They didn't have a run through Abyss either so they blamed it on RNG because of Act 6 random rewards.
Thronebreakers will still have access to this content and it runs a total of 4 times which wasn't the case for SoP. You either got all the points or missed the TB ones if you were Cav.
They let everyone know before spring cleaning and are re-running the Act 7 deal so I have no issues with it. Plenty of opportunities to get it before this releases.
They are opportunities and I’m glad they’re re-running the deal, that was one of my biggest qualms with the announcement, but I wouldn’t call it “plenty” unless there was true content you can play and accomplish to acquire the r4 materials ahead of time.
They can't just make up new content that gives mats for a full a r4.
I'm quite disappointed that Thronebreakers already will be missing out on Paragon content, even though its probably only a small difference in rewards. My guess is, that most TB would be able to do the Paragon solo objective as well. The frustrating thing about this, is that I don't know when I'm gonna be able to rank that 3rd and final 6*. That being said, I'm actually glad to see that the major whales, spenders and more skilled players get something in return.
I guarantee it won't be a small difference. I believe it will be the difference between TB and Cavalier right now. Cavalier is going to be irrelevant
Why is Kabam giving players who paid for Paragon (either with unit deals or the 10K unit 7.4 offer) these extra objectives so early and without offering the same opportunity to everyone? It would make sense if EoP came out in July or August after releasing additional content to create a third r4 6*. But by releasing Paragon only to a small handful and allowing only those players the opportunity to complete the extra objectives so soon, you're immediately punishing all players who completed all available content (which does not on its own give enough resources for Paragon).
Why label Paragon a "progression title" if it has no tie to game progression?
They re-activated the 7.4 offer so it is open to everyone. Complete 7.4 and offer is available. They aren't punishing anyone for not completing 7.4 and taking the deal, they are giving a little extra reward to the people who did.

No, if you bought it, you won't be offered it again.
I don't think this is going to age well, but oh well
Like we said in the post, the rewards aren't going to be revealed until the event starts! We don't have anything to say on that front, and mentioned the Paragon objectives when it was announced. There's just nothing to say right now!
I wasn't necessarily talking about rewards. More about purposely avoiding anything related to the Paragon title, like how its happening on the announcement thread.
And for the GIF, I meant say to say, it can be used against you in the future, even if its for the memes
They mentioned what was required. It isn't going to change. I'm not sure what is so foreboding about the Meme. It's pretty accurate. There's nothing more to add.

You mean how they won't change their mind because you disagree?

I’m don’t like the fact that there’s already be Obtained point for pargon that’s ealy of a release where there’s do’s not hav be a valua path for non spending and non from outside of top. It a bit to early for I’m okay with it 3 r4 just not so early for pargon to get a even more high ground tb didn’t get tb obtains before it was like over a year so there’s ben multiple way to gian it I’m ain’t trying to change the way just it’s stupid at this rate.

There is noise but it's not loud. Many voices but not enough. I made my peace as soon as this thread dropped as it was PRETTY clear what are the intentions and the direction they want to proceed with the game. We are simple players, I accept what is being offered. Just voicing our perspective. Don't expect any changes. Playing the waiting game to see the first set of rewards, hoping the difference btw tb/Prgn isn't that big.
I'm entirely fine with Paragon and the requirements. I was day 1 TB and it didn't really matter until Cyber Monday and content wise it took much longer for it to be relevant.
This is the exact opposite of that. TB could also be achieved by running map 7 with mods. But to get r4 materials you need to run map 8 AND be in the literal upper echelons of the AQ ladder which is another huge difference.
Also having an expectation (they actually didn't to begin with but had to add this afterwards as damage control) of a player to buy the 10/12k deal is frankly, a bit daft. It's a quite small percentage of the playerbase who engage in these deals and an even smaller percentage who fork up the money to buy the units to then buy the deal.
I'm hoping this doesn't turn out to be a mess but Kabam have literally been monetizing more and more otherwise f2p things such a feeling green event, Deadpool april's fool event/love juice etc - so this wouldn't be out of line. Gotta make those Q1 numbers look better
It's almost like the title was aimed at a small percentage of the playerbase for day 1.
Yeah spenders, that's abundantly clear to everyone. Good job you.
Sure, they're definitely a large part of that group. Then you also have the super grinders that scoop up all unit based offers and also compete in higher levels of the game. Seems like a perfectly fine area of the playerbase to start with a title for day one.
Depending on rewards it seems as though a lot of other people will probably miss out on one or maybe two sets of the EoP objectives. There are 4 however. I don't get how this set of players that obviously wasn't worried about being at the absolute top before this now all of a sudden is.

I think everyone understands that .................. but this was a response to the comment about Kabam being unfair letting Paragon have a few additional rewards. I was stating the opportunity is there to complete 7.4 and buy the Unit deal at the discount which is reactivated. It's not punishing anyone, only giving a little extra reward to the people that did complete 7.4 and take the deal.
There are occasional temporary content. boss rushes, I believe there was "the maze", etc. I didn't' start the game in the beginning, and didn't progress much for a year plus... and so there was a ton of content I missed because I hadn't joined the game yet, or it was beyond my abilities at the time. I don't complain that Kabam needs to bring it back... there will be more things, and I will continue to progress.
It takes a long time to catch up (which can be shortened with spending) to "near the top"... and I will be Paragon day one / have done so.
That said, if I truly wanted to be on top... there is literally nothing I could do to catch the top 10 in any leaderboard... as any resource I could get, they can also get, making it virtually impossible to catch up short of spending so much money on the game, I might as well just by the company.
Players should not feel entitled that when there is a new progression destination, they should have it on day 1. get over your FOMO. You may just have to wait an extra couple months and just get the Paragon title in time for iteration 2 or 3 of EOP.
I'm sure this response will get some hate, but there is a lot of entitlement on some of these posts. Kabam is not a non-profit company and stays in business and keeps this game going based on what people spend on the game.
Of course they want to motivate people to spend, that's the goal of every business. That's why most business have rewards type of programs that reward customers to spend at there. If people don't spend, this game goes away, it's literally that simple.
Those who don't support the company that makes this game (by spending) shouldn't expect to have everything exactly the same as those who support this company through in game purchases.
People who are free to play or barely spend threatening to stop playing doesn't hurt kabam by the way. If people who spend stop playing that's a different story but that isn't likely the case in this situation.

Hellraiser quote aside, I can't wait to get slaughtered. Gonna be fun! This isn't sarcasm btw. This is content.

Stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
I recall from SOP being able to do most of the objectives, but skipping some of them.
