War mvp doesn't matter.. Some big players staying in a low level silver alliance may grab 1000 mvp as other alliance members will be very weak compared to him.
In a similar way one staying in an alliance where all other members are greater than the player or equal will have very less chance to get a single mvp.
War mvp depends on defenders too. Has it been only attack it would have a chance to be a good indicator of aw skills.
That said, it's mostly due to me simply being much farther along in the game and having a much bigger and higher-ranked roster than anyone else in my alliance (as far as I'm aware). I wouldn't say that I'm "that good". One of my officers, who is an absolute workhorse despite being pretty far below me in terms of roster size and game progression, has almost double the number of MVP accolades. Those are much more indicative of his skill and dedication than my own are of mine.
War MVP is a good metric for lower level alliances who are generally just trying to find committed participants. However, it loses a lot of it's meaning as you rise in the game. If you place a defense with Double Edge and Liquid Courage, you get a huge boost to your odds of getting an MVP when in reality you have just placed an objectively worse defense. Speaking from plenty of experience lol.
To echo what others have said, the way MVP is measured right now is bogus. Someone can go in and die a dozen times, but if they rack up 11 kills, they'll probably get the MVP. That's not deserving of an MVP. Needs to factor in deaths given as well.

Seems like that one "big silver alliance player" disagreed with you 😂

Considering I haven't done proper war in like 3 years, it's a alright number
