My Alliance has absolutely lost this war. I don’t think the War rating will impact us over the course of the season as we’re in the middle of tiers. But for Alliances that are relegated a tier due to a loss that doesn’t count, doesn’t seem at all fair. Given how often specific wars end up not counting in an AW season, isn’t it about time the game was coded so if a war doesn’t count the War Rating doesn’t change. This seems to happen almost every season.

The obvious issue that could come out of this is postponing the war in the middle of the next one’s attack. If that happens you can imagine the items and boosts already having been used.

I realise it’s not your decision whether to start the season, but is it not possibly wiser to give yourself more than a day to fix all the issues? Instead of postponing for one day 7 times, postpone for a week. At worst, you fix it early and can announce the season starting sooner. Plus, then you save everyone’s items and stress at will it/won’t it be starting

It was a pretty big oversight! Everyone who drops a tier will have their multiplier effected. That isn’t a small deal. It’s a big deal when it comes to a competitive game mode and shouldn’t just be seen a “oh whoops” it’s was simple oversight moment. I genuinely don’t understand how at season 36 you can’t freeze ratings. Season 36! Wars being cancelled are not a new phenomenon.

Yeah, it’s an oversight. Your company messes up both the game and communication and the players get to have the consequences. Off season wars never count for war rating in upper tiers, but this one does? Well if we knew that we would have approached it differently.

Nah you can't seriously be telling us war doesn't count, let everyone throw a war that doesn't count since it has 0 impact, but actually the next day it impacts your rating which in turn impacts your season ranking down the line

A good faith fix is to postpone the start by one week, return the ratings and fix all the bugs before starting the season.

Really isn’t acceptable .

Getting a fix ASAP won’t cover up for failings in communication going with the easiest and obvious solution of delaying AW and letting the player base know .

There has been a pretty big domino effect with the bugs .

1) Higher tier alliance would have swapped masteries cost units . Crashes have caused people to revive .

2) player adopted a lax attitude to war after being the told war won’t count . Now the player have to be to one to deal with a drop in war rating or an undeserved increase in rating . Alliance will have moved tiers due to this which may affect standings at the end of the season .

At the end of the day , you guys have to realise that it is the player base who will bear the cost both financially and emotionally.

Good communication is the only way of mitigating that especially where players are mostly saying the same thing .

Not sure if you went to a hospital and received this sort of treatment the current player base are getting you will be on the phone to your lawyers the next day .

War Rating and Season Score are two completely different things, but I can see how they would be conflated. The Goal here was ONLY to mention the Season, and not War Rating, but that should have been explicit.

Slowing down, extending the off-season & postponing S36 until issues are confirmed fixed. It's more than reasonable to do this. I don't understand the purpose to rush it as multiple cascading issues like this make Alliance War extremely frustrating for those that are trying to have fun and compete - investing real time to plan & coordinate for success.

At this point season 36 should be scrapped and restarted once the major issues have been resolved. I agree with BitterSteel. Give yourselves a week to get things sorted. If it needs to be delayed further in order to ensure a smooth start to the season....so be it. I think most players would be sympathetic to that as opposed to what we're seeing now.

How is it reasonable to adjust Wars for Alliances that weren't affected?

Not making it count towards the end is reasonable. The War Rating is a different mechanic to adjust, and it leads to more problems.
