The only TOP TIER prize is the awakening gem, stop acting like these are some OMG AMAZING rewards.
T5CC is easily obtainable T5 Basic: Glory / Loyalty Store T2 Alpha: 👆🏿 2M Gold: save gold or open crystals Sig. Stone: EOP / Story Quest, etc
Yes, I’m gone complain about this weak 🤬 side quest, and the stupid odds. I’m tired of getting damn CANDY everyday!!!
Awakening gems. Yawn.
Not everyone is overflowing with T5CC or T2A. Those are amazing rewards for some players, and not so amazing rewards for other players. Anything you think is boring other people think is amazing, and equally important just because you think is amazing, doesn't mean it universally is.
I quite like rifts. Only thing I'm not keen on with them is lack of fairness where one player can get more/better loot than another for the same effort but I'm still doing them and will continue to do so.
Sadly not been luckily enough to get anything other than candy thus far but I remain hopeful

My issue with that is that TB and Paragon players can hardly consider the 2 minutes it takes as effort. I like this version of rifts. It's what I'm looking to have in a side quest: little effort, good base rewards with the excitement on landing on something very good. Having said that, players will always complain about RNG. It's always been like that and it will always be.
I’m not sure I’d categories it as complaining, rather giving feedback. The game is customer focused so surely they would want feedback from customers?
At the start of the event I wasn’t overly enamoured with it. But honestly I have 2 generic and 2 skill 6* Awakening Gem. I’ve only gotten candy so far and as much as I’d like ana awakening gem, it’s not the end of the world not to get one. I think there’s a general feeling of unfairness if other people gain super high end resources for no effort whilst others don’t. I get why this would be an issue.
I’ll have gotten 32 Cav Crystals, 11k of 6* shards and T5B from them so it’s not all bad.

Would that not be an issue with the whole game? RNG is not fair or unfair, it's just random. If two people open a cavalier crystal gifted by Kabam as part as some celebration and one of them gets a 3* (50% chance) and the other gets a 6*, is that unfair?
I'll stop complaining about rifts when Kabam acknowledges that they don't care if everyone has the same opportunities to get the same amount of rare resources if they complete the same content.
Remember all the complaints about people paying kabam extra money for extra 10K purchases of completion rewards... this is even worse.

Can't please everyone I guess. It certainly doesn't put me off nor do I feel like complaining will achieve anything, if I get the other paths then great if not, so be it

I think the difference is in your example everyone has the same access to the Cav crystal. What they get from the cav crystal is random but everyone goes in on an equal footing.
With this type of rift the rewards themselves are RNG. Would you be happy if in completing act 8.1 the rewards were changed to 50% chance of a 3-4 rank up crystal or 50% chance for 1m gold? Or 50% chance of a Nexus crystal Vs 50% chance of a 2000 Glory?
Would you feel happy if you got 1m in gold? Now obviously the effort required to get the rewards are totally different, but I think there is a lack of fairness when the rewards are RNG based. The outcome of the rewards being RNG based I have less sympathy for.
There’s also something to be said about the level of rewards in the rifts are only there because of the lower odds. Without the low odds the rewards in its place would be rubbish so there is an element of excitement when you go through a rift just in case it’s something good.
I’m at the point of thinking it’s better to have more access to 6* Awakening gems in the game, irrespective of how we can get them as hopefully opens the door to them being available more regularly and reduces the cost of them in the loyalty store.

So if it’s just because it’s a Crystal, if the rift was removed and the EQ now had a Crystal with the exact same odds and rewards as a rift, why is that different to a Cav Crystal? Candy is objectively more useful to you than 3*s - you can buy T5B, sigs, 6* shards etc, and we have tons of Cav crystals handed to us from side quests over the years - they don’t get the same back lash as rifts are.
Everyone is on the same footing going into a rift, it’s just whether the RNG splits out the winners and losers before or afterwards. If you hate the RNG in rifts, but not in other Crystals, really ask yourself why.
With one, you get your Crystal and it’s the same as everyone, then a small percentage are winners. With another, you get your entry and it’s the same as everyone, then a small percentage are winners. They’re the same thing with different steps.
If a rift had a 3* Crystal on one path as 50%, a 4* as 31%, a 5* as 16% and a 6* as 3% - then would you guys think that’s awful because it’s a rift and your rewards are RNG?

Great, looking forward for a month full of candies, who cares about gold or 6* ags, or t5cc
