Remove item limits for revives and potions at least. Just to be able to finish some content once a month or so. (Pathetic).
Someone wrote that this is a slap to the face for FtP players. I disagree, most of the players that are also spenders in the game (casual to medium, not whale level or youtubers), don't buy units. We buy other stuff like shards, crystals, catalysts etc, but never units, we farm those, and we don't want to use them for just revives.
Plus, if this is actually going to happen, add lvl 1 revives for purchase, for 10 units each maybe, not just the more expensive options. U ll get our units eitherway, and make this a little less sufferable.
kabam go on and put on a item spending limit inside quests and then we will know you are actually serious about revive spamming. cuz people can just spam revives still using units.
@Kabam Miike@Kabam Jax This rings so true, please relay this to the devs or admit that you want people to actually spend on revives opposed to farming them.
They are worrying about farming? Game controls are a mess, cheaters aren’t punish at all, modders aren’t punish at all but they focus on the farming method most people use…. Day by day this game become very hard to enjoy… Great work Kabam!
I'm not trying to gaslight this conversation and I almost never comment on these forums. But this is legitimately the first time I'm fearing for the future of this game. With the Marvel movies/series declining in popularity, there's going to be less new players, and I am certain this move will lead to existing players leaving the game. Five level 1 revives a week is simply not feasible for even players who spend regularly on this game.
There are loads of players like me who grind revives/potions to clear content and save their units for big purchase events every year, but also still use real money to buy deals as well. But there's no way I'm going to be buying units just to clear content, and if there's no way to clear content other than spend real money, then I'm just not going to clear the content. And if I'm not clearing any new content, there's no point in playing anymore. And there goes all the money players like me spend on July 4 and Cyber Weekend. If this decision goes ahead it will 1000% come back to haunt Kabam and they will point to this as the moment when the game started dying.
The way for Kabam to make more money is better content, fixing the bugs, and enticing deals that players will be willing to spend real money on. They have to make you WANT to spend money, rather than FORCING you to do it.
It was a change we all expected and honestly 48 energy for a guaranteed level 1 revive 6 days a week isn't bad. What I think is bad is the potion drops. A level 3 potion is pretty worthless considering we get a ton of those from just RoL which is 1 energy.
What I'd like to see is having the hard quest progression tuned so TB+ or Cav+ players get a level 4 potion minimum, preferably a level 5 or 6 potion.
This is almost as bad of a decision as 12.0. People will continue to spend and play as they did then myself included but this is just another reason to stop spending as much.
This is not a compromise. This is a joke. I had been telling myself that if Kabam ever took away the 3.2.6 revive farm I would consider quitting. That was the only saving grace this game had.
Kabam, I think you should consider other alternatives, or at least sweeten the deal on the player side. Remove the cap on the revive stash, or something. There's no way I'm going to try to complete the next Abyss if I can only hold 15 revives plus whatever insignificant amount the Apothecary gives me over a two week period before the revives start to expire. Maybe make the Apothecary constantly farmable since it costs energy and energy refills won't spawn. And leave the auto fight button alone!
I think what is being completely forgotten by Kabam here is that revives spawning in early content have a cost. Time to run the quest, and energy cost to run the quest. It seems to me that Kabam have decided now that those costs are not high enough any more.
The irony of them saying that content is not designed to be spammed with revives is laughable. If that is true then 1) why don't you limit purchasable revives and 2) why don't they make content that isn't dependent on revives.
Come on Kabam, this is a bad move. You have to give at this point or you will be looking at a mass exodus of experienced paying summoners.
What a disgusting money grab. Shame on you, you vultures.
How much are you planning on increasing your spending after this change? Because I wasn't planning on spending more because of this change. How exactly is this going to make money? Who's going to be spending more?
They are doing this 1 revive a day on purpose. They know 1 is waaaaay to low and they already know this is gonna backfire to their face. 1 revive a day is for the bargain that comes later. They will say something like "We listen to our community and we are increasing 1 revive a day to 3 revives a day" and so will the bargain begin like that. If the player base will slowly stop talking about this issiue, they'll start to close down posts and swipe it under the rug. If they still won't be silenced then another bargain will begin instead 3, now 4 revives a day. They'll not back down from this bc THEY ARE THAT GREEEEEEEEEEDY! Hope you guys never stop talking about this and maybe even boycott the game. I for one don't care bc I stopped spending and playing like I used to since January.
Also like another person already have stated. If you don't want players to SPAM revives, put revive spending limits on every quest. BUT NOOOOO YOU WANT YOUR WHALES TO STILL SPAM REVIVES RIGHT KABAM, BUT NOT FROM THEIR STASHES, FROM THEIR WALLETS.
I truly believe this highlights a completely different issue entirely. Is potion farming bad game design? Oh yes it is. But lets look at the content its used for. Abyss styled content… this type of content is the pinnacle of bad game design where fights are only hard due to the fact your brain shuts off half way through or has an unreasonable timer that ends the fight immediately forcing a revive. The reason for outrage imo is completely understandable as the best rewards are locked behind the most revive intensive content. If this change was announced and kabam said “no more abyss 2” the backlash would not be so severe but the fact kabam willingly acknowledged the revive farming was making such content bearable should reveal the ugly truth that people dont like revive spam content in the first place.
If the devs are reading this, please don’t be surprised that Summoners don’t take you as seriously as you’d like them to (especially after making decisions like these).
Let’s be honest, the only reason people did Carina’s Vol 3 is because of the r5 gem. You act like most Summoners do this content for fun (we don’t). On top of that, you’ve set the parameters for Vol 3 in such a way that we’re FORCED to use items because we can’t use IDEAL matchups.
So when we’re forced to take non ideal fights, we compensate it by farming items to make sure we’re not stuck MID QUEST.
if you don’t like the way Summoners are approaching content, then maybe you should consider looking at yourselves and wonder how YOU should create content. Don’t blame us for the choices you made in creating this. You shoot yourselves in the foot when creating overpowered champions, then take the blame out on us.
To many people, this will seem like a Cash Grab. To many, what you’re saying is “We don’t see many summoners buying units for this content, so we’d like to change that”.
My absolute favorite part is farming level 1 health potions for my potentially 7* champ. Appreciate adding 350 health to my 50k champ, really helps out loads
Here to add my 2 cents to the conversation, this is arguably the worst move in the history of the game. A lot of content is designed around the idea of “spamming” revives. Abyss, labyrinth, etc all don’t allow you to clear them itemless because of arbitrary mechanics such as evade, damage cap or enrage timer. They’re entire content design philosophy is based on this mechanic so dropping it would mean anyone who hasn’t cleared these pieces of content is gonna get shafted. A part of me feels like they’re doing this right before the next Abyss releases, as to maximize revenue as much as possible.
What a disgusting money grab. Shame on you, you vultures.

People trying to complete content with no access to farming revives perhaps..
I admit, I'm somewhat removed because I never really farmed. I do agree that the exploitation of lower Resources has been an issue for some time. I think it's good that the "Halls of Healing" has found a somewhat more permanent installment. Also, they said farming will still be possible buy with less payout possibilities. So I suppose I'm indifferent. It would be nice to see a minimum amount purchasable through Glory, or one of the other Stores. However many that might look like. I've often wanted that when I'm stuck a few short.

Welp no more end game content for me then 🤡
