RDTs for both Champions would be a win win. Zemo was the reason for a lot of financial decisions in july
Yup, I bought three odins in total to get Kraven from the crystals, to take both Kraven and Zemo to r5 and gave Kraven my only generic which I also got from july 4. The rank down tickets don’t even cover those resources, so the very least they can do is offer the tickets for both champions.
Can the decision makers at Kabam look at this from the player side?
Bait and switch #1 occurred when you released Zemo and sold bundles knowing there was an issue with one of the main mechanics his kit was built around but didn’t even mention it.
Bait and switch #2 occurred when you released his balance update with no mention of the root issue before July 4 sales so more people (even if it’s only a few) spent money to target Zemo and or to get rank up materials specifically for Zemo.
The argument that “most players weren’t using this rotation” is meaningless. Even if it was only a handful of players, you changed what was advertised with no warning. Let them get the materials back. This isn’t game breaking. The post admits multiple failures on Kabam’s part so do the right thing and give some remedy for the result of this mistakes.
@SecondSkriller yes your credit card was on fire haha. I bet this wont happen to you ever again
I mean it depends I’m usually very busy but playing with the cool root champs was so much fun to do every time I took a break that I just wanted to have these two specifically at r5. Hell the ONLY reason I bought the third odins is because I wanted a skill gem and a Kraven and I just happened to get both from it :,)

Biggest problem is the communication around it. Trello board means nothing, no one talked about this change anywhere, this thing is huge and should have been included everywhere, ESPECIALLY in his rebalance.

Also true. This wasn’t a “should be in the patch notes” situation. This was a full blown rework of a game mechanic that should have had its own announcement well before it went live.
I also spent an odin for Zemo because i love his unique designt and mechanic. I think the fix was a good one but not with that lack of communication and without reworking his kit
How disappointing. Me, along with many others, used tons of resources to rank up zemo to r5 unknowingly a week later the root mechanic to change. Had I along with countless others known this, hardly any would have ranked up zemo all the way to 5 and invest the sigs into him. Kabam please do the right thing and give us rank down tickets. It doesn't hurt anyone and only proves you are willing to listen to your customers and do them right. @Kabam Miike
I kind of see why some players are upset. It seems to me that Kabam just fixed a bug, which negatively affected some champions (unfortunately). Since special lock was never intended for those champions, I’m not sure that rank down tickets are warranted. But they gave us tickets for Mole-man, so I don’t know…

You are so damn wrong. It was never being a bug. They just didnt realised mechanic with strykers which giving infinite root. All serious bug get a lot of information from kabam
From the mesasage from the dev team, this wasn’t a bug. This was a misunderstanding between the engineers and the design team. Root was working as intended by the team that implemented it.
The engineers built the root mechanic the only way it makes sense, as a full special lock.
The design team misunderstood that and made design choices based on that misunderstanding.
They have now met in the middle with this mechanic change.
Hope you are joking what a disgrace, never heard of or even heard it meantioned. Trello Board WTF?
The Trello, which is pinned near the top of the Recent Discussions page, is a feature Players have been asking for a long time. It's a board where investigating bugs and issues can be posted. Mind you, it's a work in progress.
I will say communication and the trello board is the biggest issue I see
No one knew about trello board untill now, which is now biggest issue !?😂😂
Nah people knew about Trello, it just hasn’t been public enough or discussed enough and it’s wanted to be the go to place for bugs, when it shouldn’t be. It could be but implementation isn’t good. Hell I still forget about it and don’t fully know how to access it.
Gonna repost this here since this is the main thread for the issue.
Yeah, unfortunately never got Zemo myself so I'm not too worried about what was going on with him.
With that being said I kinda remember the Trello Board being announced a while back. Now, where that announcement is, I couldn't for the life me tell you where to find it again. The search bar may be of help, but if you are a newer player, or someone who doesn't frequent the forums enough to have even seen the post, are pretty sh*t out of luck.
In all honesty, this Trello board link should be part of the main link in the forums and on the website itself. With all the bugs popping up and with how much the board is apparently being used, it shouldn't be hidden from players who didn't even know it was there.
Listen, I don't have Zemo, and I could care less for Kraven, but toss these people a semi-win here and at least give them a rank down ticket for both champs, not just one. What would you have to lose, other than members getting pissed off you aren't offering them anything?
I'd be interested in seeing stats of MCOC players following Trello vs this, the official forums, because I can guarantee it's lower on Trello and yet announcing it there and only there is considered viable?
I mean, there have been plenty of issues where players and Kabam have both stated, reasonably, that announcements have been made here but can't/don't expect all people to see it. Okay, so, your solution is a separate platform used by an even smaller amount of the playerbase? That makes no sense, someone would have to come here to know about Trello, and if the understanding is that people don't see everything on here, then clearly even fewer people would be exposed to Trello.
If the intention is to not make silent changes and be transparent then why not make an official Kabam announcement here, as well as Trello and Twitter and all your other platforms. An official YouTube channel talking about character balance changes... utilize your CCP program to release this information and ask some of the content creators you partner with to spread this information. Heck, you just had a livestream.
Actually make effort to make this information known, don't tuck it away somewhere and then try to claim you told us.
Oh man….featured crystals and early release bundles just took a serious hit. Can’t imagine anyone wants to spend additional resources on new champs after this debacle.
I can’t even add up all the money I’ve spent opening featured’s, never again.
Good rule if thumb is to wait 3 years before any rank up.
They can just say they gave a post in the 3 years of champion release so you should take the backlash
I honestly don’t know where I land on the RDT issue, however I can completely understand the ire right now. I would argue, @KabamMike, that the team should rethink this one for two reasons. One, Kabam made this move right after the July 4th deals, which historically has been used by players to spend for resources to advance specific characters (and marketed by Kabam as an opportunity to do so). It just looks gross doing this right after one of your big paydays. Two, y’all need to buy some community goodwill right now. The number of bugs, goofs, gaffes and issues in the game is at all-time high. Fall on your sword once or twice. It’s not going to throw the Earth of its Axis, nor is it going to hurt your bottom line. In fact, it might help your bottom line.
Nah they will only do what's "fair" to their pockets
Awesome! Zemo does less damage then most skill champs & now a huge piece of his kit is gone... making him about worthless!! Jackpoooottt.
I'm glad they posted a false bug (like he stated above, root has ALWAYS worked this way!), on a site almost no one uses (theyre addressing this on the forums though? Like they shouldve on his rebalancing), to address the (made up) issue while also continuing to charge real people real money to get him.
Timed it just after spring cleaning & 4th of July sales to maximize profits on a very popular new champ...
Boy, you sure can tell how the majority of yall weren't around for the 12.0 update. And you guys would definitely hate losing your Hercules crutches and actually have to play the game.
