BG may have lost himself a collectible, but he gained his own moment in MCOC history (again), AND this time brought us all with him. again, the rewards for this were tepid. but THIS, mr Grant’s sacrifice, proves the real rewards really were the friends we made along the way. o)
Last time a took a look at the score, it was around 630 millions of points. How was the billion reached in less than 24 hours?
Brian Grant was given a special objective: if he opened the three egg crystals he's been collectively hoarding since the Big Bang, he would be temporarily awarded 500 million points, which would put the entire realm event over the top.
Which he eventually did.
And then promptly broke the servers when they tried to adjust for the rank rewards.
Eggactly as Brian had predicted: the egg broke the universe.
How was he given this objective? Did Kabam message him or something? Geniunely curious.

Objectives can be pushed out to qualifying players at qualifying times. Usually the qualifying requirements are something like "be Uncollected or higher" but in this case it was probably just configured to require the player be Brian Grant.
As a result, it just showed up in his objectives, just like any other objective you or I would have.
It wasn't quite as epic at the time as the time Kabam secretly gave Lefty a Groot, but it may end up being a more memorable part of MCOC lore. Especially since it has been permanently enshrined into the game:
That title was added to every rank, by the way. Everyone gets it.

He showed the new Objective, in the normal Objectives area, on his account. Think during a Stream. And a screencap someone did from the Stream (or himself) found it's way up here in one of the way-too-many threads about it.
