I’m waiting to get an awakening gem from Act 5 for my Omega before jumping in to fight that CB because I don’t wanna waste a truckload of units where I don’t need to. I will make the Cav push before Xmas tho. I don’t wanna miss out on a nice gift.
Why would you need your OR duped if Crossbones has Biohazard on him?
For more damage. Awakened ability does x amount of damage once you have 10 death spores per second. Death Field does x amount of damage per spore per second as well as increasing max spores to 30. The death field damage is done along side the Awakened ability damage.
More damage = less time fighting boss less time fighting boss = less chance of dying and using revives
Yeah that’s true. But with death field always active and using heavies to lock the spores and degen, you’re only losing out 30% of the total degen damage by being unduped. Not too big an issue and shouldn’t be one that’s hindering clearing Crossbones.
its a bigger difference then that, also the spores won't do damage unless you are near the opponent with death field when unawakened. You spend a lot of time baiting out sp1s in the match so there is a lot of time where CB will not get damage ticking over on him. The bleed also still hurts OR so unless you are running coagulate and Willpower then that along with chip damage from parry will slowly eat away at him. Its totally doable but its a lot easier having him awakened.
Looking at my r5 max sig 30 spores will do 2,610 damage a second from death field 10 spores will do 1,949 damage a second from awakened ability
You’re not including the damage from the heavy degen to lock the spores in, which is what you have to do when baiting specials.
Regardless duped or unduped, you’ll still have to run willpower to counter the bleed damage from it.
I have no reason why I’m not doing 6.3 I guess I just don’t want to, I get disappointed to much form this game I just don’t feel like doing content that’s gonna cost me items

Agreed 100%. It used to be a great get away doing the first 4 or 5 Acts, doing them a little at a time and feeling accomplished. Now it’s just trash Act content, not fun, super restricted, that wasn’t designed for everyone to continue in the game. It’s only designed for the top 5-10% of the player base.
Just imagine if all games once they get past a couple years old only catered to the top 5-10% of their community? Would be a pretty poor gaming world.
@Worknprogress Unfortunately, I am missing Wasp. However, I do have an r2 six star Corvus Glaive and an r4 Ronin who has easy guaranteed crits so I think I'm set between the three of them and a few revives
Act 6 shouldn’t have gotten any harder than what 6.1 was that way you could still grind and actually enjoy the challenge. 6.2.6 and 6.3 doesn’t interest me at all so that means 6.2 exploration unfortunately don’t interest me.

Sadly, that’s what you think. If the content doesn’t get harder and more interesting with nodes and boosts countering what you have, then 2-3 ranked champs can just walk all over them, defeating the purpose of building a well balanced roster in the first place.

All game are like that. The reason why you’re feeling that way is because you’re trying to do it before you’re ready for it.
End game content is always catered to end game players only. As the median roster develops, they will eventually be able to tackle the “ex-end game content”.
Finally hit the stage where I can’t be bothered doing everything as it’s released, so much ridiculous **** in the game, I’ve got control lag issues since last update and aren’t touching 6.3 with my game the way it is
I've completed 6.1 last month. Won't be coming near act 6 anytime soon. At least not till I finish exploring act 5 (still a long way to go there) and deffo not till I will have a more diverse roster.

All games aren’t like this. I’ve been a gamer for 40 years since electronic games became mainstream. I have seen it all and played most of it. This is not the way most games are developed and maintained.
I have been playing this game since it came out. Installed it right away and started the journey. Champion profile is over a million strong BUT I don’t have THE champions on my roster for act 6.2. Now if you don’t think that is some grade school BS then oh well. How should it be “Okay” for ANYONE to be playing this game for its entirety and by chance don’t have any THE champions REQUIRED for this content? If that’s ok and that’s they way games are supposed to be developed then there’s a problem.
I’m okay with SKILL based progression to which this stuff isn’t. This stuff is progression based upon your luck of pulling those champions from a crystal. Luck based progression is a terrible thing and a cash grab to get people buying more and more crystals in hopes to maybe pull that champion after hundreds and hundreds of dollars for crystals.
Why do players have such a big aversion to using items in this game?
Do people really expect to walk through new end game content without spending a couple of revives and potions?
I don’t get it, yes, end game content currently is very restricted and champ specific, a lot of messed up fights and paths, however, that’s sort of the point. Even if you have the strongest of rosters, you will have to experiment and practice against these hard enemies until you get a good rhythm against them.
The larger health pools and attack means you have to play as perfectly as possible, but even if you do, the parry and block damage will wither your health eventually, so you will have to either heal or revive at some point.
Another thing that doesn’t make sense is, why are players so mad about spending items or why do other players shame other players for using items/units to beat hard content?
What If I grind the units and potions to do it? Does that make my accomplishments less meritorious because of it?
So, one side believes you should never have to use revives or any items and another mocks you do doing so (even if you grind them and don't spend actual real life currency). Both sides shame you for using items to beat the hardest content...
Yet spend hundred of dollars to open crystals or purchasing deals, bit hypocritical if you ask me.
I understand if you don’t do much arena and EQ’s, it’s really hard to get units. Grinding potions and revives is also extremely time consuming, so your only choice is to spend actual money, this however is a choice, not a compulsory requirement, it's not like Act 6 has a toll where you have swipe your credit card.
So let's say you save your units, what are you to do with them? Isn’t progression the sole purpose they exist? I can bust 9k units to beat some hard, ultra roster limitative content, get a bunch of rewards and strengthen my roster and skills.
Or I can add 6k to that 9k, buy a 15k deal with a bunch of items and rank up materials and maybe get close to the same amount of rewards I would have gotten, for the most part.
In my opinion, ultimately the struggle to go higher, the effort to push through will make you a better player, when you just buy something, you don’t work for it, you don’t really earn it, you don’t become better from it, but the pain, the battles, the brainstorming of strategies, the anxiety, the rush, the pinnacle of madness that this end game pushes you to for an ephemeral amount of time, will ultimate enhance your roster and skills.
In the long run this will make everything cheaper, the more difficult content you face, the stronger you become as a player, more skill, more savy, faster, stronger and more focused. And most importantly stronger champions and roster.
Holding units just to burn them in deals and crystals accomplishes nothing, just a quick fix to quench a gambling thirst.
I've never understood the people that act like they should be able to get through everything with zero items, especially newer players. Granted there's a difference between burning what you have stashed or using some grinded units or even small spending to beat content. I spend a good bit on the game try to refrain from spending too much to beat content still. Unless I need something cleared from a progression point or title or need the resources in the rewards for something specific I'm more than fine picking away at content and doing it as cheaply as I can. That's how I explored 6.2. I cleared all the paths i could do with no or minimal items then slogged through the last few paths I was really struggling with before 6.3 released. Plan on doing the same with it until 6.4 is close
After a long, honest conversation with my actual skill set, I decided to wait a little while
Actually, this is my honest answer as well.
To elaborate, Act 6 isn't going anywhere. I did 6.1 right out of the gate because I was one of the beta testers and I knew it was within my roster and skill set to do it. Also, Cavalier status. When 6.2 came out I wasn't one of the beta testers and my initial toe-dips into it suggested it would be significantly harder for me to do. I could probably do it, but I would probably be spending way more resources on it than I wanted to. So instead I switched to working on the Variants. I've been picking on those path by path, while still being a completist on doing monthly content.
I will go back to Act 6 eventually, but as long as it isn't going anywhere and there's other things somewhat more in reach, it is just a question of choosing which content to do. It isn't that there's anything specifically wrong with Act 6 for me, it just isn't currently a priority.
I just came back to the game in the last few weeks after taking six months off. So I haven’t even completed 6.1. I’m currently debating if I save all my units for the after Thanksgiving deals, or take a shot at becoming cavalier before the deals.
Get Cav before the deals! Last 4th they introduced progress based offers. You'll be kicking yourself to see what you're missing out on if you wait IMO.
r4 5* is good enough, I did him with a r1 6* which is equivalent.
We are yet to reach your level. I remember you stating you killed Medusa 6.3.1 Do you bleed, Buffet node with Hood also. Your too good.
then you remember incorrect, I misstated that he could potentially work, not that I used him, but way to go putting words in my mouth. Reading comprehension what?
I did 6.1 and 6.2, 6.3 looks easier but I don’t want to do something that doesn’t seem worth it and just isn’t worth the items to do it lol. Also it could be I’m just lazy, there so much content to do that I get burned out lol.
6.1 I just finally Fully explored because I was running low on content and decided that was more enjoyable than the last half of variant 1 to explore.
6.2 I’ve done one pass and won’t be returning for some time because the gate restrictions are just wrong and while my skill can swing it my roster just isn’t there to handle that without using more resources than I believe is acceptable for those rewards. Combined with the influx of new content coming I think this will remain on the back burning until my Act VI exploration push some day.
6.3- I’ll do pass one in the next month then probably do variant 4 fully and explore variant 1 before returning. Right now I’ll do this before 6.2 though based on what I’ve seen.
Overall the content is restrictive and requires very specific champs at times while taking away our roster depth in the 4* restriction and then class gates. Along with this the rewards are not overly enticing so why would people without the counters use units to clear it. The exploration rewards will hopefully generate that level of excitement that the value is there to push through.

Nope, crystal clear. You stated u did Medusa with Hood. I was appreciating you. Were you joking/lying then ?
nope, not crystal clear, you are remembering incorrectly, I would challenge you to quote me on that.

The item use isn’t the problem. The problem is you have no shot at doing it unless you have certain specific champions which many people don’t have.
My roster consists of 94 5* champions and 12 6* champions, and I don’t have one of the 4 or 5 required. No Heimdall, No Angela, no Hyperion, no Medusa, etc. it’s a joke at this point. Champion specific nodes are not skill based content.

I wouldn't waste my time on someone who posts false comments. TBH your the most famous joke of MCOC forums. lol
So ince you post false comments I should not waste my time on you? understood. You seem to think insulting me bothers me somehow, it says more negatively about you then it does me.

However I do understand why many players choose not to do it. It is not the best designed content specially 6.2.(6.3 is better).
My main reason to do it is because I dont have any other content left.
This being said. For all ppl not motivated now, leave it for a while and come back with a better roster.
