Arena changes didn’t work out so well. Hopefully one day 😔
The funny thing is, i made this post a few days ago because thats what i thiught while reading the announcement. Its really annoying that it turned out as the right guess, and im really impressed that noone in the Kabam HQ ever thought about that.
A massive part of this game has just become obsolete for me. As a newbie, the Arena's are really useful for building my roster (UC in the black market) and getting ISO (dupes). With the new set up, the amount of time I have to put in to win PHC shards has made it not worthwhile. There goes my progress. So pissed off.
There were tons of pre-release comments on player's worries and what they didn't want it see, and it's like Kabam looked at those comments and said: "Yeah, let's do that!"
I hate this change. Only the top players will benefit from this. The people who just do arena for units will be highly disadvantaged. Unit inflow is very important for ftp players and kabam is just hurting people.
The new 6* Arenas look terrible. In the Milestone rewards - 6,250,000 points just to get a 3* champ!!! Old 3* Arena took about 640,000 points to get a 3* champ. 9,000,000 points just to get a 4* champ. Then 16,500,000 points to complete all Milestones. Maybe good for the Bots or those who somehow cheat? For me or perhaps average players like me, won't even try to grind that much as this would take a 24/7 approach for days and days. I get having to grind a bit to get rewards, but this is way over the top.
The math really isn't working here. I like to take weekends easy and do one arena and come out with 135 units plus a little dabbling in some of the other ones. No way I get close to what I was getting before.
I think the arena needs to be redone to imitate the old format, but at the very least let the multiplier go to x5 maybe?
Idk, I see a lot of complaints and few suggestions. What concretely would people here like to see?

I am gonna hit every single milestone this weekend, i will give a detailed writeup vs what i used to do.

I would like the old format to come back and 6 star arenas be included besides the other arenas.
After a bit of grinding I can say that the summoner trials was a good change, I like it. But the 6* arena with no other arenas is straight garbage. I'm not even going to be participating in those
Of course as always though a change is actually a smoke screen to take something away. This is a Typical move here which is unfortunate as a lot has been done to build some good will back over the year but yet again entering the summer that good will is slowly being trampled on with these small poorly thought out decisions that honestly look deliberate even if it’s not.
It’s to the point that he experience are prepared for this to be the case when any change comes. Change rarely denotes excitement but worry for many people in the mid to high mid tier of players usually something is being taken away or lost to drive the spend out.
Huh, seems like they kept the milestones a secret because they knew we wouldn't like them. And yes, the arenas are ruined now. Has the EXACT same problem the 5 star featured arena did. Really, I'd rather just take the other arenas than these arenas. Arena is now officially too grindy for its own good.
A simple fix - Reduce the cooldown time for using 5 and 6 star champions. Put the timers at 4 hours for 5 stars and 6 hours for 6 star champions. That way those with a reduced 6 star roster have a better chance to get most of the milestones, while the grinders going for the basic or featured 5 & 6 star champ can grind even more
Kabam should remember most players grind fir milestones, not rank rewards. I’ve been grinding 3 star basic, four star basic, and four star featured for all milestones since I hit 30 five-star champs months ago. Now I am up to 60 five-star champs and I try to hit 3.5 million in five star featured as well. There is no way I can even hit the milestones in 1 of these arenas without insane work (only have 9 six-star champs) let alone 2
The rank rewards are a great idea (5 and six star champs for the whales) but milestones needs to be much lower or I’ll still doing them. It’s not worth the time
