If you do not have any 6* forget hitting any high or middle level milestones. I had use all my arena boosts just to get a middle level. Way too long a grind for me. I will not be participating in any more arenas with this format. Strictly speaking - not worth my time for the fewer rewards (battle chips and units). Sorry Kabam. Not a good move at all. I suggest one new arena for just 5* and 6* champs but put the other arenas back as they were. The whales can duke it out there and leave the majority of us alone to enjoy the original arenas.
I feel like the milestones for the featured champion as a 3* and 4* are too high compared to the basic champ arenas. There's also the issue on an imbalance with the point system. It feels like if you dont have a 6* roster of at least 25+ then you might as well not try and place in the arenas. That's just my personal opinion.

I think its obvious by now that these Arenas make it impossible for any mid-level rosters or below to handle, unless you have a 100 6 stars or above the time and effort required to grind arenas have been amped up by an unreasonable margin.
I dont know who designed these Arenas but its obvious the person who did, does not Grind Arena at all otherwise he would know the issues that these changes would arise.

Dont you think is counter productive not only for the players but for Kabam as well? As a mid-level spender/grinder with less than 20 6 star champion these new Milestones have completely put me off towards playing this game. Ive told my friends im quitting, and many of my fellow teammates who used to be enthusiastic about the game are feeling hopeless because of these arena changes.
I know the main goal of your company is to get richer, distantly followed by playerbase satisfaction, however this is asking too much. With AQ, AW, and EQ we are already putting up more time than we can afford into the game, You simply cant be rewarding our efforts with this nonesense Arenas.

I have 50 6* and it doesn't make this setup any better. In addition, my 6* roster is almost all boring to use. I really miss using my dozens of R5s to do arena with but they're irrelevant now
Now that I've spent a weekend with the new arenas. I have some further thoughts on it. Firstly, let's go through the positives.
1. The 3 star and 4 star Champs in the milestones. 2. The Grandmaster crystals which is a bit better than the premium hero crystals but I think the quantity needs to be tweaked up a bit. 3. Having the ability to get 6 Star Champs from the arena.
Then the bad: 1. The number of champs available is far too few. 2. The milestones are pretty crazy and the amount of time you would need to spend to get the same number of units as the previous arena is far higher. This urgently needs to corrected. 3. The arena is a way to allow free to play and low to medium spenders a way to compete in the game by investing more time. But if the time investment required is going up this much it make it impossible to keep up with the high spenders and whales. 4. There is no arena where 5 star champs are the top Champs to bring in. Which seems odd. In the Summoner trials arena, 4 star Champs are most valuable but in both the featured and basic arena it's 6 Star Champs.
Possible solutions: 1. Don't treat the featured and the basic the same. The basic doesn't offer the Sig levels and ISO so it shouldn't be treated the same as the featured arena. There should be more Champs available especially the 5 star basics. 2. Increase the Champs available. Let's be real, a good number of those top spots will be bots and this means real humans that grind may only have 60 spots to compete for. This is is far too low. I think maybe 250 x 6 Star Champs of the featured arena and 500 x 6 Star Champs in the basic arena would be far more appropriate. For the 5 star Champs I think 750 for the featured and 1,500 for the basic arena would be a good amount to give out. 3. Scale down the milestones. The top milestone value on the featured should be about 15m at maximum. The top value on the basic should be about 7,5m at maximum. 4. Summoners should get a similar or more units, battle chips and shards as before for time investment. I'm sure you can calculate this from the data available. Time is key not anything else. 5. I would limit the basic area 4 star and 5 star Champs and the featured to 5 star and 6 Star Champs. This would allow the basic scores to be a bit lower by not allowing 6* Champs. If you limit to just 5* champs the 7.5m milestone is reasonable. 6. I'd let conquerers into the basic arena, let's be honest none of the conquerers are going to have the roster to get the champ, but completing Act 4 is an achievement and they should have accesses to the 5* basics.
Hopefully you read this and can make some of these changes.
Gotta say that I do not appreciate the new arena changes now that the first one is done. I’m a milestone grinder, so in the old featured, I’d grind out 12 million and that would always put me in the 11-30% bracket for 1K five star shards and however many six star shards it was. Now, I grinded out 16.5M and got placed in the 11-30% bracket for 1K five star shards and 250 six star shards. This means that I’m getting the same rewards for roughly a 25% increase in effort. I do not care for this.

How do you take 3 arenas, the 4 star 3 star and summoner worth 265 units and turn it into a 4 star arena worth 140 units with higher milestones?
I misspoke when I said the old 4 star was at 1,600,000. It is 1,500,000 million which means the new milestone of 2,150,000 is 650,000 more points or 65 additional fights with max 4 stars for what I thought would be 5 more units but since the removal of the 3 and 2 star arenas its 650,000 points for 125 less units.
I'm still bummed now my 2 and 3 stars will go unused.

Bring back the old arena,this new one is pointless,we don’t all have many 6* heroes so we can play these new arenas,and What about players who don’t have 6* heroes how do they play the arena and collect gold and units,you have reduced our chance of collecting more gold and units which is not fair. New Arenas are boring , In old Arenas Ppl can Easily Get old champs in 30M but Now For old champs also have to make 50M , More milestone means more grind but Without a huge Roaster it's not possible to Do all milestone . In old One In all 3 arena of 5* And 4* we easily Collet 405 Unit for only 17.5 M but now We have to do 33M For 400 unit . What a joke . Changes Should be positive but This Arenas Change is negative. This is For Only high Roaster Ppl who can easily make 120M+. THIS updated arena is worst ever change made by kabam .
In general, I'm happy with the upgrade from PHC to Grandmaster shards in the arena milestones except for one thing - since you are making fewer PHCs available, the class Advancement solo events should now be updated to give points for opening GM crystals, and not just PHCs and the basic star-level crystals.
Arenas have never been my thing but this format is terrible. You are cutting out the lower end accounts and driving your player base to waste endless hours in this content. I think and easy solution is bring back the old arenas add a final milestone in each for the champ. If you want the 6 star champ go drop 125 million. You want the 5 star put up 60 million and so on. Set the goal and let people know that there time isn’t wasted.
16.5M for one is too much and I am a milestone grinder. I will not be able to grind for 33M. Just can’t. As an FTP, guess my hopes for July 4th are in the trash
I'm Curious: Prior to these Changes, how many Milestones across all of the Arenas did you used to complete? If you don't remember that, do you remember how many Units approx you'd earn from Milestones per Arena run?
Our goal is to keep the effort roughly the same, but of course, with reducing the number of Arenas, that's going to be difficult. With the change of the rarities allowed in each Arena, the points are definitely going to be different, but we want to keep the effort roughly the same.
If that's not the case, we want to know! We won't know that on the first day or possibly even the first run, but please keep the feedback coming.
Previously, whenever I got stuck in a difficult quest and I had no revives, it was easy to get 40 units from the arena and buy a revive. Now it's much harder. My dream of getting units to unlock all the masteries is now shattered. Getting featured 4* champ at 9 million points seems OK. That's a good thing. I wish getting units was a bit easier.
Yes I don't mind getting the 4*. My concern is that the 3* (and now the 4*) are primarily obtainable by people with a large Roster who aren't necessarily using them. Newer Players have only one opportunity to try out new Champs, and that's to buy Crystals.
Damn. The community has raised their concerns about the changes, but it seems that Kabam is tone-deaf and is hell-bent on keepin these new arenas. All of their comments have basically been **** posts and they've just downright disappeared for the last few pages or so. Ah understand that there's a lot to consider here, but at least leave some updates and what yer current plans are? One simple change is ta revert ta the old arena structure for a few rounds until ya get the new arena structure fixed. Like ya could delay the new 6* arenas and rerun old ones so people don't miss out on the new 6*s. Strippin the grinders of easy, accessible units is not the way to increase sales. If anything, it'll only push old players away from the game. Heck, if no changes are made to the units and milestone systems then am probably quittin as well. Somethin as big as this should've been given out to beta servers for testin before pushin it live mate.

Strippin the grinders of easy, accessible units is not the way to increase sales. If anything, it'll only push old players away from the game. Heck, if no changes are made to the units and milestone systems then am probably quittin as well. Somethin as big as this should've been given out to beta servers for testin before pushin it live mate.
