For Cavs and above - have you guys found a way to cheese this? I found a regular Deadpool in 6.4.1 Iceman Quest that costs 6 energy. Has anybody found somebody who is 1 tile away?
6.2.3 cmm 1 tile away Go defeat her 50 times to barely get anything good for this grind
the energy cost is the killer for this week . its gonna be super expensive to do tb an cav
I've been grinding 5.3.6 for energy refills all afternoon (get 1-2 each run on the upper left path) to do the UC objective of beating act 5 defenders. Then by the time I'm done I'll have enough energy to go cheese CMM in 6.2.3 the required 50 times. Gotten 3 refills extra from 2 runs already.
It's boring though.
Act 5 and higher quests cost so much energy to complete, do you really come out much ahead trying to get refills that way?
This is our first month doing this Double Month side quest thing, and we're still learning. I definitely see why this is frustrating though, and even though we tried to lighten the burden by reducing the number of fights from the last week, it might not have been enough.
I can't spoil anything, but I do think that you'll want to complete at least one of these difficulties all the way through, even if it's just the easiest one so you have access to the October Side Event.
I’m sorry but this month is literally the worst month of sqs mcoc has ever had. I for one will be entirely skipping both of these months, no matter the rewards. It’s just not worth it.
There’s a thin line between repeating something a few times to get a side mission done for a quest and straight up filler. This flew over into the filler line.

So are you saying that if we complete the easiest level we'll gain access to the best rewards? So we can do Proven objectives and get access to the t5c selector and other stuff, or are the rewards unlocked locked behind the difficulty level you complete this month
Yes! If you complete even the Heroic difficulty this month, you'll have access to them all next month.
Wait wait wait wait WAIT WAIT WAIT. This literally changes EVERYTHING. I know the announcement said we only needed to complete one objective set to unlock next month, but it also said everyone was going to get a variation based on progression level: I assumed they were there so completist could farm them all, but you were supposed to do the one that matched your progress level.
If you can literally do *any* of them and unlock *all* of next month, I think that's critical information that has been obfuscated for most players. It means the difficulty of going through the objectives is based on how hard the easiest one is, and that's the proven one. The grind is way less oppressive if that's all you need to do. Since I see people posting Reddit guides and video guides on how to complete the *highest* objective in the easiest possible manner for players, I'm guessing a lot of people are unaware that the easiest path through the objectives is not to try to cheese Cavalier, it is to sleep walk through Proven. Proven is 35 fights in Act 1. That's basically a few autofight paths of low energy.
Sure, you'd be passing up the objective rewards, but come on: who but the completists cares about those. I mean, I'm going to do them all, but no normal human would want to, and I think most people don't know that they don't need to.
If they had communicated this from the beginning a lot of people would have passed on the harder objectives. The cynic in me believes that they want to see the data on how far they can push the playerbase with ever increasing unreasonable expectations.
If they had released this information from the start, perhaps their data would tell just how much this objective design blows chunks with no one even bothering with the higher tiers.
A debate for another day. I think right now we need to be communicating to as many players as possible that hey, if you think the objectives suck, yes, they suck, but don't give up on them because you can target Proven and still buy yourself a ticket to October. Unlock the rewards first, complain later.
What..This was clear from day 1. I even said this in the week 2 thread that people only need to do the lowest objective to unlock next months rewards. This is not new. I can't believe people missed this.
PS: Not saying it is still not bad. I will complete everything since I don't like leaving things unfinished. But, we really need to read a lot more. This is even highlighted in the OP of the quest.
People keep saying they want something fun but that entirely depends on what people call fun. Name an Objective that would qualify as fun, which is accessible for everyone Cavalier and up.
before anyone says "someone may not have champions in each class, as new cavs", i figured that out late. im sorry. maybe change it to win 3 fights in 6 different quests in act 6. works for every player now, i guess..
If someone doesn't have Champs of each Class as a new Cav, that's definitely a red flag. They're either content rushing, or they have the worst case of RNG I've seen yet.

yea but rushing is not against TOS. everybody's allowed to rush
Maybe so, but if their Accounts aren't developed enough for that level, then there's little room to complain about being unprepared.
Make it like Corvus charges challenges, but go deep into the hashtags and classes. Defeat a 6* evade science Defeat a 6* #canadian with a skill Defeat a 5* #metal with a 6* #control champ
Etc…. Someone should have spent the time to come up with a list of these unique quests if they wanted to make it a fetch quest grind, at least it would involve some exploration, community mapping and helping, etc. This whole thing now is a pretty lazy boring fetch quest…. Also trying to end a fight with a special is an annoying task in itself. The amount of times I’ve been mad winning a fight this week with a basic, damage over time or AI recoil is frustrating! Great feeling annoyed when you win…… but not in the right way

i meeeeean, people will always complain. as a company what you can do is design least complain-able things?
Well that's why I asked people what they considered fun. At the very least they can have some idea what people have in mind.
It would be good to throw us a bunch of energy refills if you expect us to grind these quests out, Kabam, assuming you won’t remove the act 6energy cost while we do it…
Here's my 2 cents on this one: I somehow inadvertently completed the cavalier objectives for the first week I think. These objectives show a complete lack of imagination (Pretty much like Carina's challenges, but that's a different discussion).
1. No one wants to do content we've already done or dislike. 2. These objectives are not worth the time. I know there are players who love to spend hours on this game ( I'm not one of them) but I can't waste my time grinding pointless stuff. 3. If you want players to work for their rewards at least make the tasks interesting. Ex: "use a champion from all classes to defeat Nimrod in Cavalier event quest" could have be a good task for cavalier difficulty. 4. I know people love to boast about how much they've "grinded" in the game, but I do not appreciate games that make me grind. I play this game to have fun and grinding ≠ fun. These days the most fun filled content I look forward to do are the Cavalier EQ. Summer of Pain: fun content nice objectives. Take a page out of these content designs.
I know people have said a lot of things expressing their frustration about these objectives. I have expressed mine as well.
PS: I have been a TB player for a while now. I like the game and have been playing for a the last 3 years regularly. I have hardly missed a day playing this game in the last 3 years. I play to have fun and have been progressing well enough to currently possess 50 6* champions and I'm FTP.

Not fun is climbing a ChoreWall to do said Side Quest.
If the objectives weren't mandatory to accessing the Side Quest I would have happily skipped em and there would be no problem.

100 fights can be a bit too much depending on what those fights are.
We should also keep in mind that a lot of people are experiencing frame rate issues and the game has been in a bad shape for quite sometime now.
