If itโs too hard for you, do one difficulty lower. Problem solved.
That can work for some people. In fact, on day two Iโd advise anyone struggling to hold off until more people play and find counters. Thereโs no rush.
But for others who are generally able to do the content, itโs hard to miss the fact that the bosses in Legendary vary widely in difficulty. Maybe thereโs a reason to make it harder to get one prize over another? Not sure.
Dr. Zola
I definitely agree with the variety of difficulty between Legendary Bosses, going off what some of my friends said some are Super Easy/Simple then some like the Agent Venom are oddly Super Stacked by comparison.
Was 1% of a Random T5CC really worth This Much Protection? ๐
Use Doom on him.
Ah yes because Everyone has Doom ๐
Just a tip. I used him and didn't face as much stress. He Nullifies. Just spam the L1.
Iโm genuinely curious:
Did you need items? Did you do Legendary? What was your team? Did you rely on power management to reduce the number of Sp1s you had to block? Did you rely on heavy to stagger the armor up/unblockable buffs? What was your approach?
Dr. Zola
I used a couple Revs the first pass but I was in a rush and playing garbage. You can barely get the Heavy off with Tenacity, but the L1 nullifies the Unblockable and other Buffs. Along with Power Control.

The disagree here is a cheap shot. The guy just said โthanksโ and nothing else.
@Moosetiptronic So, basically.. the main problem to be solved in this fight (while also playing around an evade mechanic) is the combination of Bubble Shield and a difficult sp1. Right? Normally the strategic answer to Bubble Shield is to use parry to get them up to 1.5 bars then begin to cycle their sp1 for openings. However his sp1 isn't fully dex-able by most players. Though you can still punish it, if you at least dex the punches. But that still requires taking 2 webshots to block each time.
I don't think I like Shulk for this as she thrives with easy to punish specials. I'd say Ghost and AA are some of the top options. It can be done with others, but these are the easy-mode options imo. Being as I don't see a mention of Ghost, I'm still gonna go with AA as your best option. He actually deals with many of the problems in this fight. He may even turn off the nodes. ๐
I'd recommend bringing Apoc to make him a horseman probably. If you can start shutting him down earlier, it may help with the lower hp of the 4/55. And yeah, if you can rank him, do it. He's useful for so many things beyond this quest.
Also, these rewards (when viewed as a whole for the entire event, including the final quest) are worth using items I'd say. But sure, if you are able to do some of the runs itemless, even better.
Completely agree, there's no consistency with what is meant to be "legendary" but Kabam have shown with Act 7 and SoP that they can design fights that are enjoyably difficult rather than going back to old Act 6 style of "here's a horrible combination of nodes/attack values and if you slip up once, even with an r3 6*, you will need a revive" bs. The latter is not enjoyable (especially doing it 28 times) even if you have the roster and skills to take the fight fairly easily.
It just seems a bit "meh" and not in line with the hype that went along with encouraging players to do the tedious objectives last month. It's also not the approach I'd take with the recent issues surrounding the game - I'd have gone with trying to make the most people happy rather than let's please the sweaty tryhards approach (that should be saved for stuff like CQC from last month etc)

Agree with you
I did all SOP fights and explored the last week with ease. This doesn't mean it was not difficult, but it was enjoyable AND doable. But doing these fights this month 28 times, with only one chance per antibody/key for meh rewards is not funny, it's stressful.
I would prefer doing SOP all over again, honestly. These node combinations are simply absurd, like Variant 4 Deadpool. Mix this with an enormous health poll and 12k attack and there is a complete disaster. It's not impossible but it is really stressful. And with only two champions for something that should be a simple daily quest
Ohh and don't forget: If you mess up one time, you lose because you have only one entry per day. You take the wrong champions for any particular reason, you spend all your revives at that time and you can't play other content but arenas to get unis (to probably die again)
To solve it it's so simple: nerf the defenders' stats to something more normal like AQ map 6 or 7 OR make it able to enter the quest multiple times but you spend the keys just to get the rewards or something like that

Yes for 1st 2 rounds I too used some items Used doom + white mags Lot of sp1 spammed to remove armour up and heavy when possible It was very very very long boring fight for random 1% t5cc But have to do it cuz I'm 3k t5cc mutant fragments away from thronebreaker
there are multiple difficulties for a reason... its literally only 3 fights and if you have even 1 r3 6* it should already be a breeze. so whats the big fuss about? the hardest difficulty isnt supposed to be easy for everyone as that would just mean everyone even people with only 3* can run it? some people really need to take a step back and humble yourselves to a lower difficulty so you can handle it better
if kevin can do it, so can you
I don't necessarily disagree with everything you're saying. However, recently expectations have been set differently than they used to be regarding difficulty. Kabam is faced with negative feedback in either scenario. If they make the highest difficulty with more restricted access they will hear: "Hey, I am capable of doing these fights... why am I being excluded based on progression?!" If they offer more open access to the highest difficulty, they will hear: "I am not capable of doing these fights. This is supposed to be tuned for Cav players! Why is it so difficult?!" When in fact, no one ever stated that it was tuned for Cav players... It's just automatically assumed that: "If I have access to this content, it must mean that I should be able to do it." When those of us who have been playing for years know with certainty that this was not always the case. Attitudes of the past in this game were more like: "Lol... Legendary..that sounds hard. I'm not ready for that yet, will come back when my account is stronger and I have more combat experience. Let's smash out Epic and use these rewards to work towards that."
And frankly, that's been the topic of many arguments on this forum of late. And, any of us who dare to suggest that when a quest is titled "Legendary" difficulty, it should be expected to be somewhat difficult will be disagreed into oblivion. This is partially because the definition of "Legendary" has fluctuated a lot. Had it always been difficult, there wouldn't have been any expectations for it to be otherwise. I'm just trying to take a more positive approach though whenever possible. But I do share the philosophy that just because someone has access to something doesn't mean that they should automatically be able to do it easily.
Aren't side quest supposed to be 5- 10 minutes quickie fights per day?

Idk, the one I'm doing takes about 3-4? But there's never been any rules announced as to how long they are supposed to take. Just gotta decide if the rewards are worth it for you. I think they are.
It's probably cause they had intended October to be double the rewards, so double the difficulty. Problem is, September was a massive drag and a failure of an event. So now it feels like we've had one month of boring grind followed by a month of difficult grind.

This is how I feel about it; I don't mind side events where it's a challenge, even an item drain. It's the level of perfect play required on the boss every time. And in a long fight to boot; 200+ hits on AV for example. 28 times. The 26 I have left, is 78 fights, with only two champions and while you could save up items, then boost and do them all at once, I can't think of any other recent event that needed that many fights.
Or at least one that you couldn't take a whole team in on, or ramp up aegon/corvus etc to help make it more fun.
For a repeated side quest itโs definitely not tuned right. I canโt remember that we have ever had a repeated side quest this difficult before. Of course it should not be easy, itโs supposed to be a challenge but the way it is designed with long fights and hard boss every day for 28 days itโs a bit to much. If it wasnโt for the katalysts for lil Stevie I wouldnโt even do this SQ more than occasionally.
I honestly donโt get why people donโt do the level down if they are struggling at legend level.
You know what the fights are - hell you can even preview them - if canโt do it then choose the option suited for your roster or lower difficulty.
For me I will do Sym spider everyday for 6* shards.. and he is very easy with venom (50 hits and he is dead) yes have to evade a couple of lvl 1 but practice and keep distance and this is not too hard.

I think this new side quest terrible. There are limited entries and I literally cannot beat Venom on epic difficulty. I have 5* R5 duped CAIW and a 6* R2 Longshot and cannot get 3 buffs on myself so I've now completely wasted one of my entries. Not impressed at all. Not going to waste any more of my time on it that's for sure. Not worth the garbage rewards being offered anyway to be honest.

Venompool feels impossible unless you have a really good AA or BWCV. I normally beat the legendary difficulty with ease but this month I'm struggling so much.

you are going off topic here, we are talking about the 2v3 event here. if you are telling me someone cant handle those fights (which you have multiple options for btw) then they really shouldnt be getting the same rewards from the "main" event that has the good resources that the more experienced are able to do....
again there is difficulties to separate player standings. again why should people who cant do simple easy fights be rewarded with the next event that has the TB standard rewards when they are cav or lower? and if they are TB accounts trying to do the event and are struggling then thats tough luck, why would they need to dumb down the event when players progression only increases and not decreases...
if they kept the same mechanics every month for a year in difficult standards the game would be pretty dull, obviously the game breaking every month doesnt help this at all but thats beside the point. the event is easy and thats a fact... what people should be complaining about and keep it fresh in kabams face is the game its self not running as expected. once that is fixed the rest follows. i can agree that the bugs make it slightly more difficult but then again kabam is still sending resources for those mistakes...
Wasnt there a pour of outburst against the Shang Chi side quest being limited to niche counters and poor designed nodes (invade etc). Why did the same design philosophy persist to this month as well? The fact of the matter is that this is just the side quest, not an upper end game player tailored content.

I think you completely misread my comment, and it's intent, I didn't go off topic those were the examples... ๐ "the event is easy and that's a fact" No that's the definition of Subjective Experiences, someone without Doom is gonna have a much different experience fighting the AV Boss than someone that did have Doom. But even that example shows an Issue cause even people with R3 Doom's are saying that fight takes Several Minutes and is Extremely Boring, that was my main point since that would normally be a thing in the Lone Main Event Quest which has that added Difficulty to protect the best compiled rewards (and no one has an Issue with that) but here this part is just the 28 Day Build Up Quest you need to do to access the Main Event Quest but before all that we also needed to do a Chain of Objectives from the previous month. In your words "This Build Up EQ has a More Beefed Up Boss(es) than any previous Build Up EQ and that's a fact" see that is a fact cause no Daily Grind Build Up Quest in the past has had +700% HP and +200% to +400% Attack Nodes along with a host of Nodes you'd normally see on the Final Boss on a Regular Quest's Boss and Not The Build Up Quest we have to do 28 Times that's meant to be more simple because it has Lesser Rewards And Again. Is. Just. A. Build. Up. For. The. Main. Event. Quest.

To solve it it's so simple: nerf the defenders' stats to something more normal like AQ map 6 or 7 OR make it able to enter the quest multiple times but you spend the keys just to get the rewards or something like that
But she may be able to do so damage, especially if she can keep him at Sp2 (easy evade) and evade during the unblockable phase.

Doesnโt Stryfe block unblockable. Him and Apoc?
Does a Guardian not mitigate block damage enough?
Got him down with 6* r2 doom with white mags prefight in 237 hits
Used doom + white mags
Lot of sp1 spammed to remove armour up and heavy when possible
It was very very very long boring fight for random 1% t5cc
But have to do it cuz I'm 3k t5cc mutant fragments away from thronebreaker
TL;DR This Isn't The Main Event Quest, it's meant to be the Simple Daily Event Resource Build Up Quest to allow you to tackle the Hard+Rewarding Main EQ, it shouldn't be This Champ Specific along with This Tanky with Crazy Chip Damage just to gain access to a Whole Other Quest.
No we don't want it to be so easy it could be run with 3 Stars, what we Would Like is to not have to deal with a Casually +6 Minute Stalling Overly Tanky Boss 24-28 Times (while Locked to 2 Champions) when it's Required to be able to Complete Another Whole Event Quest! (With the Rewards only being an Average 2 Month's Worth not helping, since last Month's were sacrificed to give the "Increase") As well from what I've heard doing a lower Difficulty isn't exactly a good option as you get less Symbioid Resources making the Main EQ more difficult, then of course the lowered Rewards.
This wouldn't be as much of an issue if it was the Main EQ of the month without all the Added steps, but this is meant to be the "Key/Event Resource Build Up Quest" you do Daily to Progress in another Aspect and is usually made Less Difficult to reduce the Monotony as well because the real Difficulty is in the Main EQ because that's what all the Build Up is for...
Or at least one that you couldn't take a whole team in on, or ramp up aegon/corvus etc to help make it more fun.
This just does not feel fun..
Of course it should not be easy, itโs supposed to be a challenge but the way it is designed with long fights and hard boss every day for 28 days itโs a bit to much. If it wasnโt for the katalysts for lil Stevie I wouldnโt even do this SQ more than occasionally.
You know what the fights are - hell you can even preview them - if canโt do it then choose the option suited for your roster or lower difficulty.
For me I will do Sym spider everyday for 6* shards.. and he is very easy with venom (50 hits and he is dead) yes have to evade a couple of lvl 1 but practice and keep distance and this is not too hard.

again there is difficulties to separate player standings. again why should people who cant do simple easy fights be rewarded with the next event that has the TB standard rewards when they are cav or lower? and if they are TB accounts trying to do the event and are struggling then thats tough luck, why would they need to dumb down the event when players progression only increases and not decreases...
if they kept the same mechanics every month for a year in difficult standards the game would be pretty dull, obviously the game breaking every month doesnt help this at all but thats beside the point. the event is easy and thats a fact...
what people should be complaining about and keep it fresh in kabams face is the game its self not running as expected. once that is fixed the rest follows. i can agree that the bugs make it slightly more difficult but then again kabam is still sending resources for those mistakes...
