The general consensus here is that we all want challenging content but this is TOO MUCH. It’s unbearable and unenjoyable. I got reemed because I mentioned ways they need to nerf this fight a bit. It wouldn’t take much: get rid of unstoppable or brute force and adjust that regen a bit. Even with the broken AI, higher rank players should be able to overcome it. People hated me for suggesting that but the majority is over this challenge (myself included) and after Kabam’s message of “we are not changing anything” is kind of a slap in the face for players who love the game and players who spend money to any degree. Sucks but I stopped playing some years ago and got back on last year. I’ve been enjoying it, but it’s looking like I’m going to take the month off at least and see what’s next.
I’m an Adult MCOC player of 8 years and at every significant spending event such as 4 JUL and Cyber week I often spend around AUD$500 on the various cash deals on offer during these special events.
I’m Valiant progression and have completed (not fully explored) most of the game content. I consider myself a better than average player (I acknowledge I’m not a Top Gun Player but cut me some slack as I’m 51 years old!)
But I can’t for the life of me beat this juiced up Abs-Man in EOP 2.0 WoW. I managed to get Abs-Man to 12% HP with my duped R2 7-Star Hulk OG when I got KO’d. I thought I’d just revive and take out the final 12%. To my complete dismay all I did was watch in total despair as Abs-man regenerated his health in quick succession all the way back to 70%. That’s soul destroying to see. It’s also annoying and you just don’t want to participant with content designed like this.
WoW just isn’t enjoyable game content IMO. We’re now asked to try and play near impossible opponents who seem to have a sole purpose to make us players use items or worse, drain our saved Units to buy more items or doubly worse to make us spend money to buy more Units to be used on buying more revives and HP potions.
If the future direction of MCOC is impossible content like WoW then I think I have reached the point where I don’t have the skill to continue so rather than rage quit the game because I have invested a lot of my time and money playing I’ll just become another of the ever growing 100% F2P players and just take it easy.
I'll just collect my free daily Valiant crystal and just participant in content that is fun to play (BG's, Season AW & monthly EQ) and await the day when the penny drops by the other spenders that’s not worth contributing to a mobile game that through design has slowly killed off the enjoyment this game once held.
Challenging fights is like any of the Act 7 or 8 bosses or the unique nodes like in Necropolis. Challenging is not throwing a bunch of rubbish nodes on an already broken character on top of a rubbish AI.
Can someone please confirm the math for me based on what has been said?
I am valiant and have managed to do the gamma objective - overseer was all I had and it was painful. Can I still get to the top milestone based on what kabam have said about the extra point and also the grace point for the objective with deathless guillotine? Also when do we get the additional point- I show as having only 2 so far.
Thanks
I think the Valiant (and paragon) grace point requires deathless Guilly @PROG73
I just finished WoW with She hulk (gamma) I’m not doing the robot challenge. As a Paragon, will I still be able to hit top prize as well? Also, can anyone explain the grace point that I’m hearing about?
I'm absolutely disgusted. I just went through my entire Revive stores trying the suggestions people were kind enough to share with me. That Champ with those Nodes and sneaky AI that darts across for an aggressive one-shot kill? No excuse for it. I'm tired of trying and scrambling for ways to take him down and pretending it's okay. Leaving the Fight in the game the way it is, is just wrong. Period. Over it. It needs to be toned down or shut down. I'm not going to sit here and say it's reasonable. The frustration, the Resources, all of it. There comes a point where you have to say enough is enough. It's the definition of unfair.
I'm disappointed at the outcome of this. I don't know how much more feedback it would take to get the message across.
If you have Quicksilver, use him. He's the safest option, he counters unstoppable and if you run despair, Abs won't ever regen, Of course he doesn't have those tags. Given that you know QS's rotation, even you can't kill Abs in one go, you can chip his health away without worrying him gaining back the HP he already lost.

Tried and failed.
Are you sure you did the correct QS rotation? He has so many whiplash debuffs on Abs that totally cancel his regen. I started the fight by a heavy then quickly dash back to gain 300 charges. Now Abs gets a slow debuff. Try to get to terminal velocity right b4 launching sp3. Keep intercepting, QS has a back up evade when intercepting. Never let Abs use 2 sp2 back to back bc of his incinerates. Build to 2,5 bars of power when terminal velocity is still on, use a sp2, b4 his whiplashes expire try to sneak in a sp1 to increase the dmg. If you can't do sp1 b4 the expiry, don't worry, you already took a chunk of his health.

I have a 6* Unduped R2 QS, and with AI that flies across the screen, I'm down in one hit. I haven't managed to get more than 3% off him with QS. Honestly I'm tired of trying. The Fight should have been toned down. Simple as that. I'm not driving myself insane. I've never been so frustrated with an aspect of this game, and that's not why I play so the hell with it.
Nice to see people are still rightfully pissed with this. I got all points for the fight, Solo with sandman 6 revives with Viv vision and 2 revives with Hulk, and that's with me force closing for optimal runs with viv and Hulk or I'd have been double digits with Viv and close to it with Hulk, and I'd consider myself decently skilled. Look forward to seeing how wellthe Devs listened and how good they actually are at making a challenging fight that isn't too easy but isn't a blatant cash grab.
Just wish I'd known about the extra point prior to plowing through with robot.
I think I read in a post somewhere that for the final weeks in winter of woe, they were trying to make the abs man fight easier. I think it's the regen that bothers most players. But the 40% missing health regen is in his kit so you can't mess with that. It would have to be a node added. But what node is best? Maybe heavy attacks heal block for x amount of seconds or Adding a despair mastery like node to him. Every non damaging debuff lowers regen rate by x%? Or simply Abs man cannot regen for x amount of second when starting a fight? If you have any other suggestions, post them. Might help the game team decide on it first when abs man comes back in the finale. You don't want the fight to become too easy, just take it down a notch from hopelessly impossible to highly improbable.
Damn bold choice of just coming out front telling us they don’t actually care the time people can spent on the game if they don’t spent resources. Everybody knew that but just saying and confessing it is another thing
(don't say time; that isn't a relevant resource in the game's economical balance).
Not sure if it’s been said (not reading through 19 pages), and no hate to Jax, but the team needs to understand that player time is a valuable resource. If the players do not enjoy your game, they will choose to spend it elsewhere.
Absolute garbage. Spent 25 revives, a pile of potions...even ranked up She-Hulk just for this fight....and gave up. Boosted and watched videos trying to learn the intricacies of this fight. Spent 1000 units to pick up EQ completion package in preparation. Wasted 90 minutes of my time with nothing but frustration to show for it. Congratulations Kabam, you have designed content that is making players re-think their commitment to this game.
Regardless of what Kabam might think, my time *is* valuable. I suppose the only positive to come out of this experience is that it has pushed me one step closer to putting this game down for good.
Oh, and if the fight itself wasn't bad enough, the 10 energy cost is just BS and rubbing our faces in it.

Until now.
I thought I'd repost it, in case anyone was skipping the 'if you aren't going to solo WoW' thread.
Cat: this cartoon genuinely made me weep with laughter...😂
