I just encountered a thing on node 1. Endless regeneration, managing protection, immun to nullify and managing stacks. On top the great defensive tactic.
One attempt with storm x and one attempt with bwcv. He’s at 100% again. The amount of attackers are way to small.
Man what is this? When this is the direction the game takes, it’s probably not my game anymore. The balance between challenge and fun is just not given. It’s just a chore what gives really bad feelings.
We are G1 & play war for fun with the 40.% loyalty revives & reasonable boosting.. players could not get past some nodes & simply couldn’t be bothered .. war is about nothing but prestige for highest level wars .. for us a G1 its about fun & reasonable difficulty but thats gone out the window .. where are the content creators i thought the were supposed to but be the filter for this stuff ..

The issue is, whoever designed this node has no idea how the game works, Kabam have introduced a nide which requires very specific counters and a very specific play style but added this to champs that also need specific counters and specific play styles.
Not to mention the node combinations, it was flawed from before it was released and its going to another **** 2 seasons of war

Void can do this fight, but void can be banned, then you are so screwed.
I think what’s so unbelievable here is the absolute lack of willingness to listen to the players and have a healthy dialect. This is the second season in a row where they’re like “oh yeah we are wrong but we’re gonna make a slight tweak we want it tougher anyways”….. and not actually engaging with comments. Do they not have a way to test these nodes on the elite maps? While the tweaks were a good step in the right direction, 4 champs (1 that is new) is not enough of an update to the pool. And there are some fights that you just can’t solo without the perfect storm (which won’t exist with bans etc).
How about you guys just talk to your player base? And listen? I know some of the feedback might not be helpful but that’s due to extreme frustration by some and frustration that, again, you aren’t doing a good job of listening.
Also find it funny that early on we had many more “Guardians” commenting on the post. Now, we don’t have that as much. I think they even know that the product you’re putting out isn’t realistic. Do us a favor, push war back. Test your product. Please.
kabam isn't always right and make mistakes, but this isn't is a design mistake. they know why players aren't willing to do it but they're pushing ahead anyway. it's designed to be like this which is also insane because it's not doable. the question is why are they being so hostile with the game mode? i don't know. are they trying to phase out alliance wars? are they breaking it on purpose?
this change in direction is only catering to a 100-150 players max. when all other team starts doing 40% revives only, is that enough to sustain the game mode? it can't be. so why do this?
Kabam's effort to create a challenge at the top has scooped in ten of thousands of other players who did war for fun and now wondering where that fun went.
Congratulations @Kabam you made AW boring, annoying and not worth playing for the 96% of your players.
If you turn all content into something frustrating that requires very specific champs and needs tutorials, infographics researches and a PhD in rocket science many players like me (valiant and decent at the game) will just not bother anymore and retire for good.
Where's the fun? Please bring some balance to your game design.

while we do overreact a lot, if something actually is off we're good at spotting it.
1. we know what pushes us too far. 2. we know if it's causing low team morale. 3. we know if it's destructive to team stability.
1. magic thief and crush are a 180 from the previous globals. cheap damage, too difficult, too punishing, too restrictive, no fun, too expensive, and not worth playing properly. it's so bad that defender diversity took a huge dive after sugar pill/decay, which is almost unheard of in plat 1 alliances.
2. skilled war vets despise it, everyone hates aw, it's extra stressful on planners and leadership, and everyone's depressed and irritable about the game mode.
3. players are taking breaks, leaving to non-AQ teams, and even thinking about retirement.
war is doing #1-2, and if you keep pushing this war needs to be harder agenda it will affect #3 worse than it already is.
I normally take Path 3 (so your Power Burn, Chitinous Thorns, Shock/Glancing path) in AW. Tactic champs I had to go against this past war were Kingpin, Nick Fury, and Adam Warlock. Then a couple Gorrs on the second islands. Luckily I was able to use my new Kushala to great effect, along with Sunspot. I originally had planned to go in with Bishop, but lo and behold he was banned. I imagine when season starts, that ban will also extend to Kushala as well, and maybe Sunspot.
Now I'm stuck with a few staple options for my path, but depending on which defenders are placed on which node and if they're Magic Thief, I might be SOL on X Magica counters I can bring in that are at a reliable level.
At least with Crush, I didn't have to worry about this most of the time. In fact I would usually ignore Steadfast due to my path, and just choose Decay for my Photon and still take some tactic fights, whereas now I HAVE to bring in one
This tactic is far too overtuned for certain defenders on certain nodes. Eg. Adam Warlock on node ten, who was unblockable all fight, and indestructible all fight despite me fighting him with Werewolf. Also he kept parrying my FIRST LIGHT ATTACK WHILE I WAS HITTING INTO HIS BLOCK. What the hell is Kabam doing? Who is this genius who is designing these war tactics?
I just cleared hazard shift ascended Zemo, r2 Aarkus, r2 Adam Warlock with the global and an r3 imiw, I didn't struggle too much with iceman namor and absman.
Like I said, it's a step in the right direction but still needs work. Would you all rather it stay as it was?

This 100%. War has been awful the past 2 seasons, this coming season looks even worse.
Morale is low already. Magic thief is simply not enjoyable to play. If it has been well thought out and the current iteration is as intended, it’s a big concern for the majority of us going forward.
The majority at my alliance are well and truly fed up with current state of the game, sticking around and hoping the situation improves and Kabam tries to make the game fun to play again.

Also the ccp are content creators, they cannot be blamed to "playtest" this. Fintech has no say in this, just saying. Dont need to point fingers at the ccp.
I suggest providing constructive feedback along with videos/ posts is most helpful in showing the game team our displeasure. Only as a community can we move forward. Threats and empty sentences do absolutely nothing.

It’s not calling anyone out, it’s looking for a response since Kabam isn’t really responding. I appreciate the insight. I think most people here are providing constructive feedback. I’m not making threats. And people saying their alliance isn’t playing isn’t really a threat either. War season starts in 2 days and many of us are having issues with players wanting to leave because of the tactic and give up war. We are a masters ally and having these types of issues. I get making war harder but this isn’t the way to do it. We’re frustrated and just want more communication from Kabam. Delay the season. Test the tactic a bit more. Give us more than 4 more additional attackers.

@Kabam Miike@Kabam Jax basically we can't use werewolf for attack because if we hit the AI's block it will reparry? Same with some other attackers, seriously this reparry situation will affect so much because the node require us to do that and if we do, we're screwed
OK, constructive again (I'm pretty sure I did this already):
reduce indestructible from max=7 to max=3, 7 is way too high. If the AI does not cooperate and you run into 7, the rest of the fight is just burning phone/pad for 0-damage, almost no way to go back because you will have to bait another SP after removing 7 indestructible.
remove bullseye from "magic thief", this combination is too nasty
So here's a suggestion. You want to make aw more difficult? instead of creating tactics on top of nodes on top of defender abilities, get rid of boosts. All of them. Simplify war and start over.

I totally get it. Personally not a huge fan of making war very tough, but I know the game team is working hard to alleviate some of the pain points. It is our job as the community to voice our concerns. I'm also t2/t1 rn, and used to be masters (chilling after a life event), so i get where you are coming from.

There are too many interactions to consider in a setup like this. Planning for all (or most) of them with a very restrictive tactic while providing a fair experience for players at different tiers is seemingly not feasible for the team right now.
